Ahem.
Nailed it.Aaaanyway, some thoughts.
MGS1 is great. Its aged really well. I can definitely see why this game was such a big deal at the time.
The games final stretch is probably its weakest in terms of gameplay. That PAL Key nonsense seems to only exist to give Kojima some filler gameplay to allow the games little twists to happen. Not to mention the ridiculous trap placement.
The second half of Metal Gear is really not enjoyable, as somehow Liquid is a better shot then a targeting computer.
The fist fight is by far the worst part of the game though. Here's the deal with the clash of bone and sinew fight among two equals type boss-fights. The combatants actually have to
be equals. Liquid does 3 times the damage you do, has a block, a dodge, a ghost leg that sticks out 4 feet past his actual leg, a charge attack, and a wake up move. He can also regenerate health, and depleting his health bar doesn't actually win you the fight.
Snake has running in a circle and punching.
It was easily the worst, most annoying boss fight in the game. Worse the first Sniper Wolf ever was.
All that said, no regrets. Hell of a game.
We will see if 2 is as impressive. I cant wait to play as Solid Snake that whole entire game!
