Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
[pedant]Achtualllly that's not a full playthrough because technically the pre-release version of 1/2 Genie Hero might be missing content in the final release, to be technical. *Sheaths my intellectual katana and adjusts my glasses.*[/pedant]
But in all seriousness, the game is pretty damn good if you're into the genre. Plus the art/animations is fantastic.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Found a white seriously wounded, starving and very dehydrated cat today.
It kept meowing for help so I went out of my way to get it to the vet and it had to be put down because of it's injuries.
I have done a good deed today, even if the cat couldn't get save, at least it aren't suffering anymore.

Can't always save them, sadly. You did what you could.
Coincidentally I've also got news about the kitten that was left on my door a few days ago: she's pretty much fully recovered, and has been already adopted by a lovely family. The people at the pound were kind enough to keep us informed.
Kinda wish we knew the wounds weren't that severe... I'm mostly a dog person, but I would have gladly adopted that poor kitten myself, if I knew she just needed some love, a bath and a few days to recover.

Cats really are wonderful animals.

My two cats are awesome, one's an alpha dude who loves being fussed so much, to the point he'll headbutt you for more. The other is a beta dude who's probably one of the prettiest cats I've seen if you can actually get him to come up to you. I don't know what I'd do without them. Cats!

Definitely a dog person. I'm allergic to cats, cats piss me off, and are nowhere near as independent as people think.
Also their shit contains a parasite that makes you more susceptible to a cats cries...yeah no thanks.

@TX: You did good, man. Thanks for helping end the suffering.
I prefer cats myself, but dogs have a special place in my heart too, because they're so damn cute and eager to be helpful to us. And my work means I see a lot more of them and get to make friends.

very pretty cats. Sir Roderick (Ponce von Fontlebotton THE Magnificent Bastard)Our first cat, whose about 7 months old, is a British Shorthair. He weights about 12 pounds, and that breed can get to about 17 when they are full grown. Hes a big lazy friendly pile of fluff.
The second, who is only a month younger, is Sieglinde (of CATarina). Shes about 4 pounds, born with no tail, and is an active, friendly little ball of delight. Shes the type of cat that will sit on your lap when you are reading or playing a game and start grooming you till she falls asleep purring in you lap.
Alas, terrible picture, but here.

Personally I would've ended the animals suffering myself.
Quick and painless. Had a whole cat infestation at a place I lived at, and they had mange.
My shotgun had a workout.

Only time I've had to mercy kill was when I was doing a job out at a farm, there was a baby bird on the asphalt driveway. No parent or nest around, the sun was on it, and it wasn't able to move, plus its guts were prolapsing. Did it quick and clean. Other than that, had my cat put down by the vet because the treatment would've run $3k+. That one hurt, but part of being a pet owner is taking responsibility for quality of life.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Yeah. It's hard sometimes.
With a dog you spend the first few years training him not to use the inside of the house as a dumping ground, then the next ten years loving the animal. Then come the late age treatment and eventual put down.
Same with a cat, except you training it to shit in a box.
But when it comes to wild animals, it seems to be a waste to call in animal control if it's gonna die anyway. May as well load up the rifle and do the job yourself.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Cats have an instinctual thing about using sand, or litter boxes, to crap in. Dogs, having never had one, I assume you use Pavlovian conditioning on. Either way, as the owner, it's on you to train the animal in proper house rules.
Depends on the case. That bird had zero chance of making it, so I sped up the end to spare it's brief life from being entirely suffering. But if I saw a deer, which there are a lot of around here, with a busted leg, I wouldn't do anything. A predator will take care of it, as it should.
Though elephants apparently are smart enough that when they're shot by poachers, they'll sometimes walk all the way to friendly ranger stations for help.

yeah, I can't stand animal suffering.
I would rather pay out of my own pocket to end animal suffering, then let suffering continue.
This time though the expensive was paid by animal protection here in Denmark, which is something they do for sick and injured cats if they don't have an owner.

I once had to kill a baby rabbit that we owned, because it was so sick it could barely move.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Only cats I have access to are the ones that come by to steal the neighborhood cat's food.
One of my neighbors puts food out for not only her cat but all other cats. Only one comes around though.
But they're not long for this world.
Other than that got no access to dogs or cats.
I wish I could though. Sadly I can't afford them right now and dad doesn't want one.

Damn right WW wins that.
That's not even remotely close to a fair matchup, even with Logan's healing factor. Might as well have Cyclops fight Superman.

Seriously, that is pretty cool. Asia is proving to be a wellspring of neat prehistoric discoveries.

Looks that way. That was actually a pretty fun and exhaustive way to build up some hype in a positive way.
Now they just need to stop being copyright nazis, and make me a Metroid game that doesn't suck. Then I'll happily buy a Switch myself.

I have a cannibal turtle. Had her and an "adopted sibling" for over twenty years. One day I go checking them up, and one was chewing the head of the other. Literally.
I love reptiles, but that creeped me out.
Also always wanted a pet iguana, but never managed to get one.

I had a corn snake, then a ball python, and some of those small green lizards, when I was a kid. Had to get rid of them when the python got out of the tank because my mother was worried it would kill my baby brother. But I like to harass my pets with affection, so it wasn't a perfect fit. Though I wouldn't mind a larger lizard when better days come.

Iguanas need alot of space plus you gotta be know how to deal with their aggression (males) which is too hard once you know how. I would recommend a Tegu instead they are much more manageable.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Beardie or Tegu over Iguana. Iguana's have minimal social abilities and very rarely become tamed even after extensive handling (green tree iguanas at least). Tegus and beardies are much more capable of being a 'lap pet', with tegus being especially intelligent. If you want something more exotic but perfectly happy to hang out uromastyx make great pets but do require a high heat level in their cage (100 to 110 degrees)

So, even if the core game is MCU-inspired, there's a decent chance to get X-Men and F4 characters later on, as DLCs.
Personally, I'm betting they'll do similarly to the current animated continuity, where Wolverine, Deadpool and Doctor Doom are part of it, but as standalone characters, without any actual mention of the X-Men and F4. I don't expect all of the 90s X-Men to make a comeback, tho.

That's welcome news.
Yeah, I imagine the game will ship with only cinematic marvel characters, but DLC will expand the roster with a few fan favorites.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Ever had the habit of never finishing certain games. I mean I find myself playing a game like "Wow this is really fun." but I take a small break and never finish it or come back months later. Like I have done this with Dragon age, Witcher 3, and I have been holding myself back from Replaying ME series. Even though I enjoy ME a lot I don't know why I am not deciding to play it. I think the thought of playing it and never picking it up again annoys me. When I force my hand to play games that I didn't finish I tend to enjoy it. As a example I did it with MGS V. I really enjoyed it at but I stopped playing for a day and I found myself months later continuing it and thinking "Wtf why did I stop playing." It's like my mind is thinking it is a chore to play these games I want to enjoy or do. It doesn't feel like that when I play Multiplayer games. Most likely when I do it is with friends.

I have two water turtles in a plastic box of water that'll most likely outlive me and I can't even give them away because I don't have a space large enough for a proper container for them to live in.
I can hold one of them with one hand and the other one's too unruly and big both for the place he lives in and for my hands. Keeps stepping on the little guy's head whenever something interesting shows up and he wants to take a proper look at it.
As for animals with more fur, it's always been gerbils and guinea pigs. It's fun to note the different behaviors they have. One guinea pig I had started to squeak at the sound of plastic bags and had two different sounds for whenever she wanted to tell me that the water or food dispensers were empty. She was also very well-behaved and never tried to run away, even when placed outside in the grass. Another one that I had after the aforementioned one died of old age started to squeak whenever she heard the sound of the front door open because she though she'd get some grass every time.
The gerbils are two lazy fatties that only care about birdseed.
