Ok, never mind. Turns out the 2 seconds of footage at the very beginning was it. SUCH A FUCKING TEASE. I endured 6 hours of that CCXP stream and for nothing.

In other news, apparently Monster Hunter opened up in China, and then China immediately banned it. From what I'm hearing it contains a joke the CCP considered to be racist.

"Bart & Fleming: While WGA, CAA & WME Fight In Court, Streamers Rewrite Movie Paydays; Will Legendary Challenge WarnerMedia Over ‘Dune’ & Godzilla Vs. Kong’ HBO Max Move?"
"I’m hearing that Legendary Entertainment either has or will send legal letters to Warner Bros as soon as today, challenging the decision to put the Denis Villenueve-directed Dune into the HBO Max deal, and maybe Godzilla vs Kong as well. On the latter, Legendary reportedly had Netflix ready to pull the film from Warner Bros for around $250 million, before WarnerMedia blocked it. Sources said Legendary had no advance notice before last week’s announcement that both Dune and Godzilla vs. Kong were part of the HBO Max plan.
Legendary certainly seems to have the right to challenge WarnerMedia on its decision: Legendary and its partners provided 75% of the $165 million or so net budget of Dune, the adaptation of the Frank Herbert novel that was envisioned to be the first of multiple films exploiting the six-novel series. It put up a similar amount of the funding on the Godzilla vs. King film. Will the long-term viability of the franchises be tarnished by starting out as an HBO Max offering? It’s the same question the industry is asking about Wonder Woman. Legendary wouldn’t comment. I’m told there are three other films that have a right to believe movies they majority financed are being served up to provide a steroid shot to HBO Max’s paid subscriber base by undoing deals that were made for theatrical release and the traditional revenue waterfall."
And then there's this curveball.

The instant response in Hollywood was outrage and a massive girding for battle. “Warners has made a grave mistake,” says one top talent agent. “Never have this many people been this upset with one entity.” Like others, he had spent much of the day dealing with calls from stunned and angry clients. And that swooshing sound you hear? It’s the lawyers, stropping their blades as they prepare for battle: that Warners was self-dealing in shifting these movies to its own streamer, perhaps, or that the company acted in bad faith. Some talent reps say the decision affects not only profit participants but others who have worked on films as the move might affect residual payments. They expect and hope that the guilds will get involved. (The Writers Guild of America declined to comment.) What damage will be done to exhibitors by training customers that if they sit on their sofas, the biggest movies will come? And will Warners face serious backlash from important producers, filmmakers, guilds and onscreen talent? “Warners was the quintessentially talent-friendly, filmmaker-friendly studio,” says one agent. “Now Warners isn’t the first place, second place or third place you want to go.” Many in Hollywood think WarnerMedia opted for this drastic move to play to streaming-infatuated Wall Street and redo the botched launch of HBO Max, which has netted a dismal 8.6 million "activated" subscribers so far. But one prominent agent notes that the top executives at WarnerMedia and its parent — AT&T CEO John Stankey, WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar and, of course, Sarnoff — “don’t understand the movie business, and they don’t understand talent relations.”"
"WarnerMedia had to shovel tens of millions at Gal Godot and the other key players because the company wants a third in the series. But that sets the bar high. Sources say even Suicide Squad director James Gunn, who is platform-agnostic, was not pleased when the studio followed its shocking announcement by floating a lackluster formula for compensating him and other profit participants in the film."

Alright then. Still don't think we needed more multiverse shenanigans, but Doc Ock was my favorite villain of the Raimi movies, so it'll be neat to see Molina reprising the role in some capacity.

Aye. I have my issues with the Raimi trilogy, but Molina's Doc Ock is not not one of them. One of the best live-action movie villains ever in my book. They did a fantastic job selling him as a threat (both physically and mentally), but also made him deeply tragic and sympathetic.

Re: Films and TV (Untagged spoilers)
Disney is having is its end of the year investors call, and there's a bunch of stuff being announced. Most noteworthy thing is the Disney + Star "expansion" which is gonna be the channel where all the "not-Disney-y" stuff (so most of the Fox and Touchstone material) will end up going. The rest of it is still being revealed, but among the other things, there is indeed an Alien live action series, set on Earth and with Ridley Scotto as one of its producers (so expect more Prometheus b.s.) and an Ashoka Tano show, of course connected with the Mandalorian but also with a third show centered around the New Republic, all of which should have some big crossover even later in the future.
Oh and they will also be doing the simultaneous release on theatres and streaming for at least a significant portions of their movies sooo... another nail in the coffin for cinemas.

Did they confirm multiverse?
He could just be the "new" Doc Ock. Like JK Simmons is both J Jonah Jamesons.
Also, gotta admire how Disney creates one good Star Wars TV show, and suddenly they are producing 20 more. I can already smell the recipe being reused in each one so that you get the same "familiar" feel you have when watching MCU movies.

All but confirmed. Keep in mind the Spiderverse animated film made a toooon of money and the MCU is going multiverse anyway. So...

And apparently Kathy Kennedy is taking all the credit she can for it, and might manage to use the success of Mandalorian to stay in charge for years to come, even tho that show specifically is going well because she was specifically forbidden by Der Mouse to interfere with it.

I mean, they mostly seem to have given a ton of freedom to Dave Filoni. Dumber things have been done.

Indeed, and apparently they confirmed that Ruin Jhonson isn't getting his own movie trilogy too. So there's still a chance to turn things around, I believe.
Re: Films and TV (Untagged spoilers)
They also got McGregor & Christensen back for their Kenobi show (time to take bets on how long it'll take for Hayden to have a line about sand in the show) and announced a movie by Patty Jenkins. It's hard not to be excited honestly, that announcement list was pretty much a strike.

Re: Films and TV (Untagged spoilers)
I have to admit... there was a lot of cool shit in that presentation. Thei're gonna have to not screw up most of it, especially on the Star Wars side, for me to get legitimately more optimistic in regards of Disney again, but I think they have at least a chance to get better.
Also lol, Captain Marvel 2 is gonna have Monica Rambeu and Kamalah Khan teaming up with Carol Danvers, because thei're worried Brie Larson can't carry a whole movie on her own. Don't be surprised if she quits before the movies' out becase she can't bare to not be the only protag.
