I've watched the Injustice animated movie last night and...

Non-spoiler... decent enough adaptation of the story of the games and the tie-in comic... for the first 2/3s of the the thing... and then it just faaaalls apart. Not that there aren't flaws in the whole thing, but up to a point it was... forgivable, I guess you could say.

So first of all there's a lot of cheap deaths, like a lot. Namely, Flash dies at the very beginning of the film, he gets sliced off by a random sawblade trap while tripping because of some Fear Toxin. A bunch of Superman's allies get randomly killed in the final act, including Cyborg. Also, Aquaman, Shazam and Green Lantern just decide to not pick a side, and just... leave, never to be seen again. Nightwing death is more or less like in the comic, but he's then turned into the new Deadman ("Deadwing") for a very infuriating reason I'll cover in a bit. They go to the trouble of showign the whole death of Lois Lane and Metropolis and then don't even let Superman shed a tear for his loved ones... even Green Arrow gets cheap-shotted, instead of his sacrifice being a major turning point for the rebel heroes.

The Regime's not really the Regime... the movie pins it all onto Superman pretty much, with even Wonder Woman turning on him after she finds out he killed a bunch of Joker sycophants in a fit a rage. Despite the fact she did act like the Injustice version of Diana up 'till that point.

The film focuses a whole lot on Plastic Man and Mr. Terrific despite them not being in neither the games nor the tie-in comics all that much.

In the final act of the film, Ra's Al Ghul pretends to ally with Superman's almost regime and gives them Amazo as a gift. Amazo quickly goes on a rampage, kills a bunch of characters with ease and forces everyone to team up against him. Then Superman goes completely ballistic but before he can kill anyone Mr. Terrific pulls out of his ass a multiverse portal (did I mention I'm really REALLY getting tired of the "multiverse fixes everything!" thing already?) so that first they can have a mirror match between classic Superman and Injustice SUperman and then a Lois from another timeline can come in and calm him down. While that happens...

... guddamn Damian Wayne defeats Ra's with a little help from "Deadwing" and then the two have a talk and Dick forgives Damian for... you know... killing him. THey've kept him in the story just so the little shitbag could be absolved for causing his brother's dead ffs. Why? Why do the people in charge of the DC animated stuff have such a love affair with Damien? Aaaaarrrrgh...

sounds like some mandates that was thrown in by someone during late in the production, which is weird considering the one DC animated movie that had so much death in it by DarkSeid.

Then again it is Warner Brothers their quality can be hit and miss.
