To say I have some issues with Young Justice's latest seasons would be an understatement, but I'll give them full credit for this. Remember Razer from the Green Lantern animated series from 2012-2013, the one that was cancelled early? It's canon to YJ's continuity, and Razer is back, full of hope and rage, now in harmonious balance, still on his quest to find Aya. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Speaking of, I have been on a bit of a cartoon mood, lately. So I have watched the other He-Man show on Netflix, the CG one. It's very obviously meant for youngsters but it's surprisingly fun and well put togheter, I have no particular attechment or nostalgia goggles related to MotU, and I could still have a good time with it.

Also I've binge watched all of the Tales from Arcadia bunch, and THAT was all really really good... uuuuuntil the last few minutes of the final movie. Felt like it undermined a lot of what the series had going.

I mean... it was pretty obvious they were gonna use the chrono-sphere dohicky to undo some of the damage and the killings. When Tobias kicked the bucket, I thought "Alright, fine, let's give them a win, considering all the other death and destruction." then it turned out that no, they were gonna reset the whole timeline Flashpoint style, and leave Jim as the only one who remembered everything that happened, and again I was "Alright fine, he has to re-live the last couple years of his life, but this way he gets a chance to use the skills and knowledge he picked up to save more of the people he lost along the way, including his best friend. Works for me!" and then the timeline is reset and Jim just basically sits things out and send his best friend to become the Troll Hunter, undermining the whole idea that HE was chosen, and not picked up by random luck, that destiny is not a burden to escape from, and all the other cool thematic bits they had going. Really REALLY didn't like that. Tho I guess you could read as "Jim and Tobias were both equally worthy of being the main hero all along". Which is a bit nicer.

Also I still have no clue why they felt the need to add aliens in a story about trolls, wizards and Arthurian Legends. But hey, Vex was fun as hell, and he gets to go all Pacific Rim on one of the TItans in the final movie so... I don't mind they're in the story. It just felt very random.
