Not going to lie this seems very boring from a game play stand point and I have played "single player" multiplayer game before not fun (basically where multiplayer gameplay was the focus and single player feels like something stitched on except a lot crappier).

At least the fans get a bit more story, but that's really the only reason to play single player in Overwatch.

Hm. Played a bit of Diablo 3 to refresh my memory. Yeah, the story is terrible for the kind of game it should be, and the overhaul has made the content very hollow until endgame. Nothing matters, there is no challenge, it's all designed for the level 70 treadmill. Kinda sad, because the expansion in particular has a much better story. Then you hit 70, and all these systems are thrown at you that you don't understand. But the gist is that you need to stack as many % bonuses together as possible, more or less, so you can do trillions of damage per hit in high level "rift dungeons." Which are just randomly generated dungeons which give the best loot. Then you reroll stats, items, blah blah, get better gear nerd.

It's sorta frustrating at first, when you don't have any good items to work into an effective build for the lower Torment difficulties, when good shit starts to drop. If you play the season objectives, however, they give you a full 6-piece set, with fairly easy objectives, and then you can start blowing through the dungeons. However, it is quite gratifying to figure out how to work the mish-mash of pieces you have, and their effects, into a very powerful (for the difficulty you're in) build. Not sure how some guys play it endlessly, over and over, forever, but hey.

So I might be baited with a scam on ebay, but let's see how this pans out.

I'm selling a box set of DVDs I put up yesterday for $35 plus shipping. I get an offer for $35 that night. Yay! The message says, text me I have a question about your item. So I text them and they state that they want it shipped to their cousin's and they'll throw an extra $300 in for me to buy a gift card to send with. I reply with 'No. What we'll do is this. I'll accept your offer, you pay for the item and specify where to ship it. Then you send the giftcard to your cousin. I'm sure they'll appreciate that more.' Then I accepted their offer and sent them an invoice.

I'll wait to ship it once the money comes in. I'm sure they'll decline the offer, but is this the correct thing to do?

Yeah, that reads like a scam. Don't send anything until you're paid, and don't accept payment in a way where they can try to rescind it.

Charge back. Some scams do it, they'll send the PP payment, then claim it wasn't legit, and you're hosed.

Okay so I have "done" my 5-man squad project with Space Wolf bits.
Technically not canon or a part of the "rules" but I think they're cool despite my lack of practice.
And I think they look better in person than in images.

Just finished the sword 'n' hammer guy and the banner guy tonight, so waiting for them to dry fully, then I've gotta find a base big enough for all of them and then stick them on it.

Yeah, this phone camera isn't too great at capturing them at night.

They have some wash and some shadows.

I need to practice highlighting some still.

I'll see if I can get my proper camera out and take some pictures.
But IMO the imperfections come out once the picture quality is better, lol!

Oky then, since you seem curious...

This is where I am at right now. The scenery is mostly done, I need to do some touch-ups, clean up the borders and glue on the lower area a few decorative elements I've painted on the side. The rocks are actually just pieces of tree bark that I bought in a 99cents., the base is a cheapo photo-frame. The crystals and the raised areas instead are a 100mm round base (originally a cracked asphalt base, but painted to look like cracked ancient stone) that I cut flat on a side and some resin basing stuff.

In term of minis, the main attraction is gonna be a Necron Cryptek (the commander unit riding ontop a robo-scarab) that will be on the raised area, and in front of him there will be a few more common units, I have a few so I'm still deciding.

I had started working on this thing in spring, but got derailed by a couple gunpla-y kits and by a tiny Space Battleshipe Yamato model.

Ideally it's the first of a series, and I'd like to do other dio's for other 40k factions, but we'll see.

Got the idea from this channel. Here it's the top of a box with a photo frame on the lid, but that's the idea:

Basically I've glued in place both the background and the glass pan to have a flat surface to start from. Glued on the back the support background for... well... support lol and used more glue to make everything airtight, so I can do water effects too without risking resin spillages. The glass also add a bit of weight to the thing so that plus some rubber pads underneat should ake it really hard to accidentally knock the thing off the shelf once it's done.

I'd be concerned with using glass as if it's ever dropped then there is more risk of breakages.
I might do the same but find some plastic sheets instead.

Luckily I have a nice hobby store in town so I could get some nice easy mod-roc stuff to craft terrain with!

Well if a diorama takes a shelf dive, stuff is gonna break no matter what, and often break badly too. So I'm not too concerned about the glass. Not any more than with any other part of the thing, anyway.

We would put all the photo frames upstairs out of reach with all the bloody attic flooring and furniture...
I'm honestly surprised we didn't put them in the garden centre, lol.
