Aaaaarrrhh... finally! I've beaten the Path of Pain in Hollow Knight! Wanna talk about "sense of pryde and accomplishement"? Yeah, think I'm feeling a bit of that right now xD xD xD

Finally saw the True Ending of P4:G.
Edit: The epilogue outfits are really neat, visually and thematically. Though Teddy has those bra strap looking things. I don't know what kind of undershirt that's supposed to be, but its weird.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Why would Alan Wake need a remaster? It was a touch janky, but otherwise, a charming, evocative game.
For you _gamers_ out there, I got my GPU installed and tested it on something more strenuous than a 10 year old Vita game port. After a while, the case itself was becoming quite hot. I have a Fractal Meshify blahblah, so its a compact, with front air flow. The top mesh was hot enough to touch and not hurt, but just barely, the glass panel on the far side was fairly warm, and the metal panel in front of the back of the mobo was nearly as hot as the top. After I shut off the game, within 5-10 minutes, I checked the actual internal temperatures, and they were all safely in the < 50 C range.
So I'm sure the CPU/GPU will throttle itself if those temps got up high, though I need to figure out what they are during heavy load, but I'm concerned about the case, because I have my SSDs screwed into a plate running across the part of the case where the mobo is. Are they generally heat resistant to the same degree? And is the case being so hot most likely running through the frame and not necessarily the actual temperature inside?

My case also heats up quite alarmingly when the RTX 3090 starts to chug on high-octane graphics, but so far no problems with the SSD's (two of which are also screwed onto the frame casing). I could install some more fans, but so far it works out fine. I haven't noticed any GPU self-throttling, but according to my more knowledgeable friends, back when I asked them in December, it is within acceptable heat parameters.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
I tested it on Dying Light, ran around a bit, then tabbed out. GPU was holding steady at around 80C, CPU was dipping into the low 80s, then back down. Neither pushed past 85.
Running an i9 10900-KF, which is supposed to run hot, so I got this giant heat sink for it. It boosts itself under load, so I _assume_, given thermal throttling, that's about the danger zone where it'll stop pushing. Might need to go into the BIOS to fiddle. GPU is apparently defaulted to 83 C, which I assume is "all fans firing on full, then throttle."
So I'm not sure what to do. I suppose run a stress-test program, to see if the throttling is working, so it _won't_ push any higher. I do not want to fuck around with water cooling, so I could get more fans.

I can't tell what your actual issue is?
You wouldn't be thermal throttling at 80 degrees.

Isn't the low 80s the beginning of the warning zone, and the 90s the danger zone?
I opened up the case, added the second heatsink fan to the top, so that should help a bit. Think I need another intake fan tho. Only have the 1 in the front, then an outtake in the back, the 2 on the heatsink, and the GPU.
Edit: Might be Dying Light, actually. Did the Total Warhammer 2 benchmarks, maxxed out, and other than a performance dip to 30FPS during the PARTICLES portion of a skaven fight, neither GPU or CPU went past 70 C.
Edit 2: YUP. In addition to installing the second heatsink fan, noticed Dying Light was running at uncapped FPS. So my hardware was pushing as hard is it could. Which is comical, because for some reason, my 144hz monitor cannot run at 144hz on Windows 10. So I'm locked to 60FPS for a good while now, heh.

For CPU under load you probably don't want to exceed 85, GPU under load is fine to go over that a bit but ideal temp for it is 80-85.
Just quickly tested RE:Village; Close to max settings I was only running around so not surrounded by enemies, GPU got to 82 C and CPU 70 C and I'd say my cases airflow is fairly average.
Sounds like you're sorted with those changes you've made.

Yeah, I looked up the specs, and my CPU has a t junction of 100 C and the GPU is defaulted to aim for 83 C before throttling, so they were all fine. I was more concerned with the heat of the case, and air flow, as I have no idea how how hot the RAM/SSDs can suffer, but I have a new intake fan coming today that's supposed to be "turbine-esque." So everything's sorted out for the moment. Surprised RE8 runs that hard tho, you don't really render _that much_ at any given time.

Raytracing plus there are a few settings you can crank so much no GPU could handle them.

Ah, right, the dynamic stuff. Fair point.
The new intake fan seems to have put the pin in the heating issue. CPU & GPU stayed in the 60s/low 70s running around in Dying Light, so it was only a matter of attaching the second heatsink fan and getting more air in there to displace the hot.
For whatever reason, the case front panel is not a simple removal job, and the fan needed to be connected from that direction, so I used 2 tie wraps to secure it to the case, and some powercables hold the far side in place. Should be fine!
Re: Dead Space: A revival? The game never finished the plot of the Brethren Moons! Or was that meant to imply what happened?

Prime Day was a bust. Nothing on my wish list was on sale, though the nature of the things I'd buy probably explains that. Then I looked up butane lighters, because the cheap Bic I have does a shit job of lighting a cigar. The discounts on those were only a couple bucks, and they don't even with butane.

I actually got some new things, which are still on their way. A new keyboard, a new mouse and a new electric shaver. I hope the latter works out pretty well, given it was the most expensive item by far.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
I looked at mostly household items & lawn and outdoor items and then really felt like an old fart. They didn't even end up having anything particularly useful.

Actually, I could use a new shaver at some point. I clean shave maybe twice a year, tops, and otherwise trim until I get annoyed and clip it all off.

I restained the back porch last week. Every time it's rained since, I've watched the water bead up on the wood with gormless fascination. We're all old now.

"Metoroido Doreddo."
That's straight up phonetic English. I assumed it had a proper Japanese name, like Phoenix Wright is Gyakuten Saiban, or Pokemon is Pokemon.
