Read an interesting summarized report yesterday. Further establishes a possible causal link between caloric restriction and life extension. They moved on from testing rats to primates, and seemed to have similar results. Also chilly climates are "healthier" than warm ones. The gist was that eating causes inflammation, which is bad, and that adds up over a lifetime to hack off some time. Which makes sense, since it seems like rural Japanese people live the longest, and that'd be a lifestyle of constant light physical activity, restricted diets, and mild chill.

So the key to a long life, if this is a true link, is to eat sparingly of health food, don't work out too much, and keep the AC running around 65. Enjoy.

I'm a sucker for harem anime.

If you want a really good one, I say look up Haganai.

It's funny, has great characters, and I think hits all the right tropes while being fully aware that it's hitting these tropes.

Hell, near the end of the second season in the anime, one of the girls gets fed up an calls out the main character on his shit, telling him something along the lines of "stop acting like a harem anime protagonist!" And then proceeds to kick the SHIIIIIT out of him.

Spoiler, I guess, but what I loved is that the main character, who had been acting ignorant and dumb the entire time, revealed that of course he knew that all four of these girls were competing for his affection, but if he ever actually gave in that he knew, and if he ever picked one, then it would ruin the friendship group they had all created together and he didn't want to lose his only friends. It's actually really sweet.

I hope so, there's one scene with Zombina that is obvious that something is missing, as opposed to conveniently having steam or a sun ray block it out.

On a related note, there's one I watched called 'Shimoneta- A boring world where the concept of dirty jokes doesn't exist' that has lots of censorship, but the story is about society where censoring is a huge thing. So I think it works very well with the theme of the anime. Don't know if that was intentional, but the 'censored' version is extremely good. Loved that series a whole lot. Extremely funny and very good.
