Already told so. I was far away enough from the epicenter that I barely felt the shakes. But a few small medieval towns, and all the people in them, were not that lucky.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Wasn't sure if it was a new one or not, so all the same, had to inquire.

You know, I was watching Viaplay today and decided to see Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. I actually liked the first one and I thought this can't be that bad, even if I have heard not so good things about it.
But damn. So horrible.
If you haven't seen it yet, don't. Don't do it. Not even for morbid curiosity.

Yeah, thank you Nick Cage for ruining on of the coolest anti-heroes Marvel has. Now we're only gonna get his hispanic discounted version in the MCU. As a comprimary in Agents of SHIELD.
Sigh...

Well, to be fair, Nicholas Cage ain't the largest issue with Ghost Rider movies. He did good job at first one. But in second, it was everything around him (and him too for about 80% of movie) that failed.
And funny enough, David S, Goyer was the one that made the story for GR: SoV. Seems like everything this guy does turn into a sht (except first two Nolan's Batman Trilogy).

Goyer was involved in most superhero movies from the early 2000s. Either as a writer, or a producer. Lots of them have indeed his lovely touch of death.

Why do I keep going back to reddit?
It's only making me raise my blood pressure and get me more and more depressed.

I don't Reddit in general is a bad place but it just depends on the subreddit you visit.

The place where you can see people justifying war crimes. And people support those posts, while those calling them out get downvoted to oblivion.
Then there's also blatant propaganda, misinformation and lies being spread. Calling those out also get's you shunned away by community, even when you re eventually proven right.
Oh and people are very passive-aggressive and many take any criticism of faction they support as if you are personally insult them.
And moderators allow this and encourage echo chamber.
Why the fuck do I keep going back to that place?!

I saw the articles about it. Was going to post this video earlier today but it slipped my mind.
Its a cool find, regardless of what condition the planet is in.
May some future generation explore, colonize, and terraform it for the glory of mankind's Space Empire of Awesomeness.

Still on the work 'vacation,' sick as a dog, can barely keep down water, but I've made my farewell post on BSN. Some of you have already, but it's good closure if you care to. Sometime in the next day, we'll be cut free from the place we were founded.

I always knew that it wouldn't last, but I didn't expect it to be this short-lived. Then again, when you only want to hear mindless praise and are doing nothing to earn or even generate it like the way BioWare is currently doing it, it shouldn't be that surprising.

That's what that video felt to me.
Dunno if I'm more angered or saddened by that kind of attitude.

And now there's no reason for me to ever visit that forum again. We managed to get 151 members. If we had assigned a Pokemon to each one, we could have filled out the entire first generation.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
So i finished Legend of Korra.
I will now give my final thoughts.
Season 1 id give a 3/10. Im sorry, but its not very good. Those 3 points basically come from the flashbacks with Aang, and a bit of the last couple episodes. If I had watched this season before watching the original series, or even before the entirety of Legend of Korra was available to me, you wouldn't have ever gotten me to watch the rest of the series.
Season 2 I'd actually give a 6/10. People said it was the worst, but i dont think that at all. The villain was boring, but the threat seemed real, and i liked learning about the first avatar. Though the ultimate resolution of that season was absolute garbage, and, in my opinion, ruins the entire universe.
Season 3. Everyone's favorite...gets a 5/10. Yeah, you read right. I dont understand why people like the 3rd season at all. Its like they removed any and all logic from the series. Why are the villains so powerful? Why can the guy that has only had his powers for a week take down people that have studied for years? Why did our heroes forget that they know moves that can basically one-shot people (You can Lightning bend dumbass! That can blow holes in fucking mountains!)? About the only good thing I can say is that the enraged Avatar State Korra at the end earned it an extra point. Otherwise i would have given it a 4.
Finally Season 4. The season that looks the worst, seemed very rushed, and has the worst filler episode in the entire series.
8/10. By far the best. The only one where the villain felt real. You could see her point of view, and almost agree with her. I liked the fact that Korra was struggling. I liked the cameos. It was the only season where i actually felt compelled to finish in in a marathon, instead of a few episodes a day.
As a whole I'd give Legend of Korra a 6/10.
Just barely good enough for me to finish. I hate Korra, I hate the modernized setting, I thought the villains were mostly lame, the side characters not as good, and the message of "New is good! Old is Bad!" to be very uncompelling.
There were too many side characters that all ran together. For every interesting side character like Bolin, Tenzin, Jenora, and Varrick, you'd have boring filler like Mako (who they were downright punishing near the end), Asami, the entire BeiFong family, Tenzins other children, and so forth.
The motivations of the villains were all lame, and mostly came to fruition for no other reason then how INCREDIBLY STUPID Korra is. She's a complete imbecile.
I will probably watch Avatar: The Last Airbender a dozen more times in my life, if not more. Its unlikely I will ever watch Legend of Korra again. It gave context to the porn, and thats the best thing I can say about it.
(For context, id give Avatar: The Last Airbender a 10/10, and give season 1 a 9/10, season 2 a 10/10, and season 3 a 10/10.)

I never thought that a complete shutdown would happen. At most, I believed that forums would become a ghost town with first mods leaving and then rest of people doing the same over time.
Or something similar....just not this.
Oh well, shit happens.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
I return. Yesterday was rough. Worked a full day, sick, in the sun. Couldn't keep food or water down, spent more time sleeping than awake. This morning, better. Could take down water. Then some fish. On the plus side, I'm largely better now, and I got paid. On the downside, piercing, constant pain from the brainstem is somewhat worrying until it passes.
I see BSN is read only now. We all said what we needed to. Fuck 'em. I saw 2 of the people I PMed got in their licks, but haven't registered here. So it goes.
For some silly reason, while old BSN had PMs viewable after the lock, this BSN has locked me out of viewing PMs. Funny, that. So unless there are people waiting in the wings, or whom we can contact other ways, we're the survivors. I'm really glad to have you buncha nerds here with me.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Mindless bitterness and stupidity aside, what is the industry precedent when it comes to game developers providing official discussion forums to players? I'm curious if it is seen as something that any "AAA" developer must do, or if, in reality, it's only a few games/devs who are doing it.
I know Blizzard has their own forums, which makes sense given the multiplayer nature of their games.
Back when EA pushed out their Origin platform, I thought their strategic plan would have them integrate discussion forums for all their major games together into a single platform as well. Like, a "gEAm forum" (fuck you, it's a brilliant name and I'm a genius for coming up with it) with different subsections for each one, like how BSN had different subsections of the forum for the different Mass Effects and Dragon Ages. This made sense to me, because it shifted some of the costs and managerial work to a central place, and EA has the money to develop it well enough. They were also integrating different game accounts into a single Origin account too.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Depends on the company. Obsidian, Blizzard, Valve, they all have official forums for their works. Plenty of the smaller guys too, since a low traffic site is so relatively cheap.
But there is a clear shift away from centralized discussions via forums, which I'm not a fan of, and onto the many social media platforms. Which is terrible for in-depth discussion, clear conversations, and not being marketed at.
I don't know if you guys have noticed, but there's a real dearth of younger people in any forum I've frequented. Everyone's more or less early 20's at the very earliest. Seems like SOCIAL MEDIA BRO and big, shiny buttoned GUIs have eaten up what should have been a new generation of forum goers. So it makes sense to me that big companies would let cut their forums so they can connect via other means, and advertise, even if they cannot control the message.
reddit's a big one, I imagine, for the average person. But it's such a poor setup for actual discussions.

This is a reaction I want to do whenever people try to be tactical instead of being where it fucking counts (AKA the point) in Overwatch.
I wouldn't mind it as much if it didn't happen every fucking day in every fucking match. Holy shit.
