Happy New Years, CZ! Whooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I am incredibly sober, as I had to do bench press and OW placement matches tonight, sadly. Got placed 2768, so mid-Plat!

Against my better judgement, and perhaps because I just drank several shots of whiskey and a rum flip, I have returned to wish you all a happy new year.

If you ask me, 2018 wouldn't have to do much to get ahead. I've read about SpaceX's potential tourist trip around the moon. That alone puts it above a lot of the bullshit that 2017 gave at the start.

Yeah, it'd be nice if for once the new year felt like an actual improved over the old one. But better not have too high hopes, so we get slightly less disappointed later. Let's just try to stay alive and take our wins when we can...

Tbh 2017 was one of my best years yet. 2018 probably won't be as good but I can be damn sure it'll try.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
New Year, time for new job prospects!
Let's start by doing a good old job search tomorrow and seeing what's about, if anything.
Then see if my limited skillset can fit into anything.
Gonna start the year right, by depressing myself! WOOP!

If human suffering is how you qualify a good year, then you're a terrible person.

One stop virtue signalling, your faux outrage does nothing.
Two last year was great for me for a variety of personal reasons with political happenings taking a very very distant last place.

Thanks for stopping in Theo, and you two, hush, New Years cheer for at least a day.
And as I thought, went straight from mid-Plat to Diamond in a couple hours, all wins. Aw yiss.

Replacing most of my coffee consumption with green tea is surely a good idea.

Buy Genmaicha. It has puffed rice in it that will add a smooth, toasty flavor to the tea.
It will make the transition easier.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
I was looking into getting some good macha powder, but apparently it comes with a whole set of necessary tools, a whisk and such, so I've been using normal green teabags. I'll give this genmaicha a try then on my next refill.

Man, 2018. Really thought the world would be way different, if I ever lived long enough to make it this far. In hindsight, sure, it all makes sense why it turned out as it did. If I'm lucky, I'll make it to the next century, if not longer. If I'm not, might as well enjoy becoming an old, out of touch man. It's gonna be nice.

still no hover boards and Mars hasn't been colonized yet.
Could be a whole lot better.
Also if anyone of us manage to live to the next century, we should call the pope proclaim it to be a miracle and call that day National Tali for shits and giggles.

I've been out of touch my entire life, it's okay I guess. I learned long ago to not expect anything to be different because it's the future, but hey, I got a little device that fits in my hand that I can watch anime on that also tells me the traffic and can message everyone I know at the same time. That's pretty sweet for 2018.

Just finished shoveling a bunch of ice and snow in howling, freezing winds. Ha! I remain unbowed and unconquered. Do your worst, gods of winter!
Moving snow for a few hours works up a nice appetite.

JUST AS PLANNED.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0

"Go forth into the lands of men, where the name of Nagash has been forgotten. Go you to the great cities and cast them down. Cast down the palaces of the proud kings. Cast down the temples of the fallen gods. Fill every well with dust and every road with ash. Let the winds carry the lamentations of the people to the far corners of the world. In the name of Nagash the Undying, go forth, faithful servant, and conquer."

The "Get off my lawn!/Back in my day!" phase of my life will be fun. I'll make sure of it.

Our generation was born too early to reap that, but we were born at the right time to savor and marvel at the prelude. We probably won't get to take those bold steps into that strange and fantastic future, but our kids and grandkids might.

Being in touch, especially once you're out of school, seems like it's a lot of work. Not for me, that. I do my own thing, and find myself confused by trends and what gets popular, and so it goes. Less stressful, or something.
@Drag: Dude, the Tomb Kings models look so fucking rad, I'm speaking 90's.

we'll get to see the first people at least land on Mars around the 2030's if everything goes to plan.
