I binged the CP2077 anime and I liked it. It kinda spun around at the end like it didn't know where to go, but I guess that's true to the source material.

Also, Persona 5 Royal is coming out on PC October 21 and I'm looking forward to it after having played Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Strikers.

I've delayed playing Strikers specifically so I could play Royal (beat base 5 already) first. I've avoided all spoilers for years now. And it releases not long after my birthday! Accounting for the usual problems with PC ports of Japanese games at launch, think I'll make a belated gift to myself out of it, and also hope they pruned the endless fuckin' tutorials.

Currently continueing my Sisters of Twilight campaign. Very different from a normal campaign, you end up having little territory, but still are zooming all around the map already by turn 80, since the optimal strategy seems to be to confederate your Wood Elf compatriots quickly, then make the territory around the trees peaceful, i.e. aggressively kill off hostile factions and gift their territories to some faction you want to be friends with. Normally the Order factions, since they are more reliable and will normally not go to war with each other, as long as Chaos threats still exist.

Ah, yeah. Don't confederate Drycha and the other tainted treeman tree in Cathay. Wipe them out instead. Otherwise your lore of life treeman lords will often be completely replaced by a tainted treeman lord with lore of shadows, which is much worse than lore of life. Drychas campaign buffs suck, anyways.

Would anyone be able to help find out if I can upgrade the CPU on an ASUS Z170-A MB from a Xeon X5680 to an Intel W-3175X? OR...if there's a CPU I can upgrade to that will allow me to run Windows 10? Okay, so the socket type on your motherboard is LGA1151, and as far as I can tell, your current PCU is LGA1366. So either one of those is wrong, or there's some sort of compatibility between those types that I've never heard of. In my experience, the socket type on the mobo has to be exactly the same as the CPU, for obvious reasons. Need to figure out which is which, or tell me if I'm looking at the wrong product page.

The Intel W-3175X appears to be LGA3647, so no, you'd have to buy a new mobo with that socket type regardless. Assuming your mobo _is_ LGA1151, here's a list of some options, depending on your budget: https://www.pcguide.com/cpu/guide/best-lga-1151/

I found a Win10 installation disk from long ago. I'm running it as a first attempt. Cross your fingers. If not then I'll look into CPUs next. This board has TWO so...saving up money again.

I've been watching the anime Mushoku Tensei (Jobless Reincarnation) non-stop since yesterday. I just finished ep 22 and boy is this show great from the get go. Almost has the scale of Full Metal when it comes to the size of the story line, size of the world and the amount of races and characters you run into. I like seeing these characters get into mature situations and I wholeheartedly root for them. I can't wait for more. I'm glad I started this.

In the last 10 minutes, after clicking on a few hundred of the buggers, get the shiny. Really cool effects too. Otherwise, was notably unremarkable, one of those "drifted through it all," days. It was nice.

Well. Restarted my Sisters of Twilight campaign, because at turn eighty I pretty much had the game sewn up. All the trees were mine, I had cleared out about any chaos faction around it, given the land to my allied order factions. I only had to look forward to doing the tree rituals for another 48 turns and then maybe the crisis.

I threw out two mods, the two skill points per level mod and the "confederation before death" mod. I think the former kinda made leveling up more meaningless and the latter made my confederations a bit too easy. Let's see how this run goes. I really want to fight more battles manually this time.

Looking at the sys req for Win 10 I have everything execpt for the graphics card, it's not DirectX9 or later. Looking to see if I can install the driver, but now it's not signed and looking to see how I can digitally sign a driver. Egh.

Yeah, as much as I love to start Wood Elf campaigns, they're too easy, and the objectives give you nothing to do but babysit, while there's no real threat. Have to be pointlessly aggressive and building outposts to have stuff to do.

My Orthodoxy campaign is frustrating. Nurgle boys got the 4 souls first, so I've had my Kostaltyn army parked at the damn Forge for 20+ turns waiting for them to show up. Endless demon/Norsca stacks made me give up on Troll Country (starting area) because of the forced confederation with the Ice Court forms a shield wall of cities. Trying to build a ring of allies, but they all seem to suck ass, have to basically forcefeed the Empire forces in the south their own territory when they lose it, had to wipe out Mannfred myself, and the dwarves in the east seem half-dead at a glance. Getting late enough that the Chaos LL are effectively unkillable without massed guns, and I'm still on 1 soul because my attempt at Nurgle's got sniped by a magically teleporting Slaanesh army. Winnable, but so frustrating, demon armies should never be able to retreat.
