Spent most of today doing the damn Asian dice/card games in the hobo park in Yakuza 0. Dice games are pure RNG, so that's a grind to getting enough good RNG to hit the money target. The card game koi-koi is like a stripped down kiddy mahjong, so while it took a good bit of time to learn and strategize, it was least partially skill based. 2/4 games down, start learning the 3, which is some knockoff of baccarat. Tiny element of skill, in terms of figuring out statistically likelihoods and acting on that, but otherwise up to the draw. After hours of getting ahead, getting bad-luck streaked back down, getting ahead, start finally closed it on the money target. Then within 7 or so hands, get fucked so ridiculously bad, in an astronomically unlikely series of hands, that I drop from 18000 (need 20k), below 10k (my starting amount), and then the next two dealers hit the same exact rare, special dealer hand, which takes me to 5k.

Rage quit. But at least I saved after beating the first 2! This is why I don't like gambling, especially the more purely random chance games, in real life and vidya games.

Got through the last of the gambling just now at least. Need a few more of each kind of fish, then the carom/combination shot nightmare. That should finish out minigames, I think.

never 100% a yakuza game, but I have pretty much played all the yakuza games at this point.

I find it to gridding to 100% a yakuza game, stuff like mahjong, I just can't seem to wrap my head around it and the gambling part I feel like takes to long because of the limits they put on bets, it gets annoying.

The bet limits were driving me nuts. The way I finished roulette was by betting the max on double-green and spamming it until it came up, won it one shot.

Mahjong is scary, but beating my head against it really helped, and now it's actually kind of fun. I'd like to learn more about the game going forward. But it's so obtuse to even _do_ anything at the start, I don't blame anyone for putting it off.

Pokemanz Community Day today, was Slowpoke, Galarian form too. Was quite nice. Low 50s, sunny. A Pokemon I like, very easy to catch and hit Excellent throws. Good bonuses, good spawn rate, aesthetic shiny forms. Did quite well for myself, got a shiny of every possible Slowpoke form, got _1_ 3 star Galarian shiny, a 100% perfect normal, and 99% PvP perfect for every variation and every league (other than Master), but for a Great League Galarian Slowking. Lovely day all around.

So...we going for Horus Heresy number of stories to get to the good stuff? Heh. I do like Vash tho, he seems infinitely more interesting, if written well, than any other Chaos character right now.

Do the Watchers do anything at all during all this? Superweapons failing to just...wipe everything out bears some explaining, though the tech scale in this setting is like the power level. Everyone has sun snuffers and time-fuckery, Custodes have adrathic weapons and the _good stuff_ even the Dark Angels don't, Elder have gadgets that would instantly win wars, Necrons could start popping stars, but if anyone used their real toys it would be really cool, then ruin it all.

What kind of losses we looking at here for the Imperials? 1,000 DAs can go real fast in a big battle.
