Watching old commercials, apparently there was a "no cholesterol" fad for a while. I remember growing up in the "no fat" one. Then, what? No gluten, no sugar, no corn syrup. I suspect that whatever industrial poison is in our food is probably not limited to those.

I swear, since 2023 rolled around, my car has been fucking me over non-stop. I've had to replace defective tires, a bad battery, busted spark plugs, and now this. It's like a curse.

Catastrophic sounds bad! Heh. Hey, if that thing can be patched up, be thankful. Used market is right fucked depending on where you are. Then a cousin swooped in and bought it to flip, for probably 200% what he promised to pay her. I'm a bit bitter.

Well, still playing a lot of Total War: Warhammer III currently, alone and with friends. Since one of them just started playing, that is a painful experience, since when he gets into a big battle he has to play it... and pauses every 20 seconds for about two minutes. Hrrrnggh.

Finished a Zhao Ming campaign rather easily, really struggled on a Boris Ursus campaign, but I'm over the hump there now, too and currently not sure if I shouldn't go play a bit something else next, before I fatigue out completely. Maybe try to get back into Midnight Suns or something else I stopped playing "for a while" and then it turned into months...

Anyway, I spent some money for high end gaming gear... two Alpha Prime joysticks, two Warbrd-D bases, two desk mounts and a Z-extension from Virpil. Came up to, ahem, 1.270 Euros. With a rebate. Now, to wait two months until the manufacturer has worked off his huge backlog and then I'll finally be able to play Everspace 2 the way I want it to.

The other week I found a wood screw in my tire. The guys I took it to looked at it and said, 'Yup. We can fix that.' Then I pointed out another piece of metal I had just found in it and he said, 'Nope. We can't fix that.' So I had to buy two new tires. Weird thing with your car. I feel you.

No games news I can think of coming from me. Currently I'm playing the least amount of games so far this past decade. Dabbing in ME:Legendary here and there every couple of months, but that's not something new in the slightest.

With Princess Connect Global shutting down in a couple days (sad face) I've transitioned to the JP game. Same play style and everything, but the translation barrier is slowing me down so I'm spending more of my free time playing it.

Was interested in buying the latest River City Girls and finally purchasing Nier Automata, but that comes after I pay off some debts first.

Trying to find a balance between the work I need to do, relationships I need to make and all the fun things I enjoy doing. How do you guys make it happen?
