Oh, I am fully aware that censorship isn't exclusive to governments. After all, I've seen what went on in the BioWare forums firsthand.

Question: Given the fact that Deus Ex Mankind Divided is 75% off this weekend on Steam, bringing it down to 15€, how many people here think it's worth buying?

You'll get enough hours to probably make it worth it, but it's got a hollow story and characters.

Yeah, I think I'll wait until Square Enix is done with all the stupid DLCs and stuff.

They are pretty much, last dlc is already announced, and it sounds like a copy of the first game's dlc.

Well, good news, the salt water rinses appear to have dislodged what I think was a piece of food that had gotten somehow wedged into my gum line. Pain and inflammation are dropping, but it's not 100% yet. If I'm lucky, vigorous swishing might have saved me a grand.
In less good news, Amazon's Prime schemes are annoying. You need Prime to get the Prime Pantry, but the Prime Pantry doesn't include Amazon Fresh, which is an extra service with dropoff dates. Then some Prime Pantry stuff you have to pay shipping for, even though the point of Prime is not to have to. And then you have to purchase a certain amount of stuff, or stuff from a certain category, otherwise they won't ship it.

The information on the game seems kinda lacking, so I'm not entirely clear on what it is. Some sort of online survival multiplayer thing as far as I can tell. However, I feel a small sense of obligation to throw some money their way for having the balls to have balls. Assist the person rowing against the tide and all.
Apart from the aforementioned Dreamfall Chapters they've always had a pretty open-mind about nudity in their games amongst other things. After reading some things regarding some writing in the game, it gave me the sense that there had been a change amongst their senior stuff, seeing Exiles now however makes me doubt that, which is good I suppose.
A lot of people are calling it an ARK clone, I can't really comment on that since I could never get ARK to run properly and gave up on it. People I've spoke to have mostly praising the building and "endgame" elements in my experience. It does have issues with grind however and the combat is beyond simplistic, with some dev comments about their engine not being able to handle parrying properly, makes me think that apart from tightening and polishing it in places that it'll be mostly the same however many years down the line it eventually comes out.
Building up your house/fort/town/city bit by bit and slowly inching your way to the outer reaches of the map seem interesting so far at the very least.

Oh, so the Eldar’s plan to hatch a new god came to pass.
“Ynnead itself (the God of the Dead) is supposedly a nascent Eldar god growing in the collective Infinity Circuits of every Craftworld, from the souls of dead Eldar. It has yet to manifest itself, as it has yet to attain enough power to fulfill its purpose: to destroy Slaanesh and free the Eldar. […] As Eldar die and their souls become part of the Infinity Circuits, the god grows in power. […] In 991.M41, the Eldar Mystic Kysaduras proclaimed that the only hope of Eldar survival in the End Times would lay with Ynnead.”

Making an anti-Slaneesh with the souls of their fallen ones... I see a shitton of ways that could backfire, but the Eldars ARE running out of options. Fast.
If it works, I wonder if the Eldar are still gonna remain two separate races. I could almost see them pulling something ala Starcraft and have Eldar and Dark Eldar becoming just one faction divided in a couple sub-groups. Or one of the two Eldar faction succumbing and being absorbed by the other...

I love the snow and it doesn't feel like winter without it.
I'd take it over any type of hot day anyday.
Wow
I didn't even know they had a pantry...
Pretty funny how they charge per ounce like they are a really some type of store.
Good selection of items but needs more actual sweets like donuts and stuff. Still neat feature tho. I've been thinking about getting prime myself. That or Best buy GCU.

I have more than the cold as a reason to hate the winter. It also affects my job, since the delivery trucks often get stuck in the bad weather and therefore a mountain of work comes in all at the same time. Sure, some fuckheads dropped caltrops on the road as a part of a robbery attempt a couple of months back which also delayed the deliveries, but still.

I live under a great lake. Every time it snows, I get 2 feet of it.
I'm jealous. I live too far inland in Michigan to get the proper lake effect snow.

Land of 10,000 lakes.
I always get lake effect snow. Thanks to global warming we've been having record low snow, once in a while sprinkled with a goddamn 3 day blizzard.

So, super bowl match is over.
First though: disbelief...how the heck Patriots did it?
Second: Must have been fixed-match. No way to come back and win after that high point difference otherwise.
Third: Falcons fucked up big time.
But I guess this game was American football at its best.

New England Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in a historic overtime victory after getting their asses kicked in the beginning. Not really a sports guy, but that was something to see. I wasn't rooting for anyone, and I had thought the Falcons had it in the bag. But New England came out with a vengeance after Lady Gaga's halftime performance.

Saturday morning I'll be attending a masterclass hosted by Jason Graves, who wrote the music for Far Cry Primal, Tomb Raider, Dead Space and Until Dawn. Pretty in demand guy with some major work. Hope I learn some important things and maybe make a new friend.

I honestly don't remember the music in any of those games. Maybe it was drowned out by the action or I wasn't paying attention to it.
Still, that's a pretty cool opportunity.

Only one on that list I played was Dead Space and I agree, it's hard to remember music. But in a horror flick the music is part of the soundscape, so I remember the terror just not the sound of it. He also did Star Trek: Legacy which I did remember and loved the music to.
On another note, phase one of my weight loss plan is half way done. I'm down to 172 from 183 back in mid-November. The goal of phase one is to get to 163, where I was at 3 years ago when I initially lost 20 lbs and then didn't push any further. Phase two is to get to 153, where I'm told by my Dr and all the charts I've read is my ideal weight. I judge that since I wear size 32 waist and still considered overweight. Diet is how I'm doing it. Just keeping breakfast and lunch under 500 cals total and being sensible for dinner.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
@Sci: Good job on the weight loss. Keep at it, cut the sweets, move your ass. Once the diet is corrected, the pounds melt off fast.
It's neat how your current weight is around my ideal. At 153, I'd be skeletal, 163 would be lean as fuck. My waist right now is a 32, but in a 36 length, so finding pants in stores is near impossible.
Height makes it easier for me though. My normal range runs from 160 to 215, which is a huge margin. My biggest was 213, where I was shoveling food and sweets in my face all day, and I still looked lanky. Just so much frame to fill.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
My biggest was around 190-195 about a decade ago. No way considered fat by anyone I talked to (my entire mid section from below my rib cage to below my belt line was firm, but just pushed out), but looking back, damn my neck was huge. I'm almost 5'7", I wear 32-30 pants. My brother is 5'11" and he just want's to be 195, but has ranged from 240 - 215. He's not fat, it's all in his legs, but we both have pudge and love handles galore. When I stabilize around 150 something I'll see about where I need to be weight-wise, then start building some muscle.

Finished the Genestealer Patriarch... it looks rather good, all things considered.
Sadly my crappy camera doesn't seem have a proper auto-focus, so I don't have any decent picture. Believe me, I tried...
I'll see if I can find a way around it.
EDIT - For those who are curious to what I've got just painted, here's a photo of the same model I've done, just assembled:

On the base and in one of his hands there are Space Marines helmets/heads. Made sure to paint those in Ultramarines colors. Cry me a river, Matt Ward! AH!

Christ when I was in the Army my max weight allowed was 186. I weighed 200 because of the extra muscle, although just past Basic I was 170. Skinny as fuck for my frame, hence the bulking.
Now I'm 210 starting a new workout plan I made myself. Hopefully I drop the fat and end up putting on functional muscle.
Diet and exercise, kids! Positive body image will do wonders for your self esteem.

As soon as I find out my actual weight instead of guessing tot he best of ability I'll be trying to monitor my weight more to start getting it down.
Exercise is...more difficult to start, diet easier to start and just as hard to stick with.
My main problem is anything I could do is dull as dishwater and I just get demotivated because it's just a boring slog and I can't see much progress until A LOT of progress has been made. I am definitely over 350lbs (I think).
I don't know if there is any decent place to get weighed as there are only shitty bathroom scales at the doctors that only go up to about 320lbs.
I might have to spend a Huge amount to get good scales that go up to 550lbs just in case. But they're, like, £50.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Pump up the music and envision what the end goal is.
Realistically, diet is the most important part. Shoveling food in your mouth needs to stop, focusing on 5-6 small meals a day.
When I say small...I mean a piece of fruit, a small bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. Second breakfast can be the same. Lunch is chicken or fish, with a salad. Afternoon snack is a power bar. Dinner is chicken or fish, salad, and a baked potato. Late night, just before bed, some peanut butter, while drinking a gallon of water all throughout the day.
It seems daunting, but when you break it down, it's not that bad.

Hehehe, I have tried music, sometimes it gets in the way or is too inspiring for the actions I can do at the time and just get either too distracting or remind me of where I'm not and just take me out of it.
Once I am down to that level my diet might change to something similar, but with the big evening meal cooked by parents that can't be changed because you still live with them and they're all old world views, etc.

@Mazzy: 350?
Alright, lad, enough of the chip butties and crisps, we need to get you on tea and fresh air only for a few months.
But seriously, correcting your diet will make a lot of that weight melt off. It takes a lot of calories to sustain bulk, believe you me, it took some effort to keep myself around 210. The body constantly moves towards equilibrium, and unless you're a hardcore powerlifter/hiker, the vast majority of your daily caloric needs are going to be maintenance. Just what it takes to keep you alive for a day. Your maintenance is considerably more than an average 2,000 a day, because there's more of you to power. The good news is that if you reduced yourself to an average 2,000 a day diet, your body would rapidly adapt itself towards that. Meaning that big deficit between intake and maintenance translates to some pretty drastic weight loss.

TBH that's a guess, seeing as my scales stop at 320, but are only actually scaled properly for around the 275 mark (apparently a common trend around these parts.) I just bout a set of scales that read up to 550lbs to make sure this never happens again, but that was a "worst case scenario" estimate.
Heh, if I drank any more tea then I'd BECOME THE TEA!!!
MOST of my problems come from self control, and I "get" that, but I never find that thing that makes it stick. I'm slowly getting better at self control but it's not as fast as I like as, well, as soon as I find I'm not allowing myself as much as I usually would have I start pining for it. Like, I'd crave chocolate if I limit myself to a little every so often.
I know there are some things that remove those cravings, like if you fancy chocolate you should instead eat a few nuts, or something, but I've not worked out how to make that viable yet.
There is a distinct difference between NEEDING something and WANTING something that I have to sort out in my head.
I mean, maybe I'm just a glutton.
Once I find the exercise I actually like and WANT to keep up with and I'm not just doing it because I HAVE to then things'll be better.
