Why did you do that, Peter? You tricked it, and by playing on those old "we can bond together like we did way back when" feelings the Venom symbiote still has because you were its first host.

The symbiote was doing all fine and good with Flash, and ever since they separated the poor symbiote's been hammered with evil and deception on all sides, chipping away at the progress it's made. The universe (and by universe I mean Marvel writers) won't let the Venom symbiote be good, not matter how much it tries to be. Poor thing.

Did a quick run through of some shows on Funimation that I added to my queue that I thought might be interesting. I'll list them here and maybe someone has seen one?

Of that whole list, only Hyperdimension Neptunia. It's based on a series of JRPGs (you can find most of them on Steam and the few missing ones are coming in a matter of a few months) set in a technomagical land where everything and everyone is a reference to videogames. The place is literally called Gamindustri, and watched over by four goddesses called the CPUs, which are the main characters. It's a lot of cutesty silly and fanservicey anime fluff, but it's very self aware of it and pokes alot of fun at itself. The games much more than the anime because of the much longer time they have to do so, of course.

I would say that if Madoka Magica is one of my favorite "serious" anime things, the Neptunia series is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

The description I saw read something like "story about goddess who is too busy playing video games to perform duties" or something like that, but I knew I had to check it out.

Can't stop thinking about Madoka and can't wait to watch it again and check out Rebellion.

Weird, I listed Panty and Stocking, "two girls kicked out of heaven because they're sex crazed and foul mouthed" and I heard it mentioned twice today on anime podcasts. Can't wait to find time to watch these.

Yeah, the main character of the series, Neptune, who's based on a scrapped successor of the SEGA Saturn (the other 3 are supposed to represent an Xbox360, a Wii and a PS3) is a 4th breaking slacker that dodges her duties as much as possible to play games. So it's a pretty accurate description.

Can't stop thinking about Madoka and can't wait to watch it again and check out Rebellion.
