“In deep space, the Trono colony on the planet LV-871 finds itself under attack by mysterious and deadly creatures of unknown origin. Emergency evacuations are ordered and shuttles are taking off as the massacre sweeps the colony. All that stands between 12-year-old Maxon and his mom making it to the safety of the spaceport is a horde of Aliens!”

"Dan Slott leaving Spider-Man for Iron Man. As for what the final arc will be about… It looks like our pal Norman Osborn is getting an upgrade via the Carnage symbiote."

Ezra, throughout this series, you've managed to draw the attention of Tarkin, Vader, and Thrawn. Now prepare for yourself for the UNLIMITED POWAH of Emperor Palpatine!
A mural depicting the Father, Son, and Daughter from the Clone Wars Mortis arc. Most interesting.

Ah yes. The mysterious bird that liked to follow Ahsoka around in season 2.

I like to think that they've wrapped up the universe arc by then. Not much they can do after that, though. DB has always been about upping the stakes and they can't get higher than multiple universes getting erased, unless there's yet another plane of existence above that which is threatened. Also, the dub is going to take a while to catch up.
Funny how other anime learned that it's smarter to concentrate on the characters rather than increasing the tension and the risks because of Dragonball.

Rumors are its definitely coming back.
Something to do with a 50th anniversary of another show, and a super burned out staff, and most of the major talent working on a movie.
Re: Animation and Comics
Yeah, the movie's coming at the tail end of the year.
Still once this Universe Survival arc is done I don't mind them taking a step back to nail down the next story.
Although I do wonder what the speculation is for the next film.

Re: Animation and Comics
Yeah, the production times on anime and manga are notoriously crushing, and the bulk of the staff of DBS is actually made of noobie artists that had to learn the Toryama style as they went. No wonder the first couple storyarcs had such crappy animation. An hiatus makes sense to me.
As for the movie and the future of the series... can we just have Uub show up and make GT non-canon once and for all? Nobody with half a brain is still buying that this series just fills the gap between Z and GT and that there's gonna be a perfectly logic explanation for why all the crazy powerups, new characters and gods seen in Super are not in the future GT is set in. The only way they could do it is wishing with the Dragonballs for all this stuff to disappear and be forgotten by Goku and pals and then move into the events of GT. Which would be a colossal middle finger of a conclusion.
Also, Android 21. That is all.

Re: Animation and Comics
I think DBS going on a break is a great idea. Gives them enough time to chart the story going forward, let the manga catch up with the show, let the focus be on the new movie coming out at the end of the year, and let the animators get a little R&R. And the dub is something the international fan community can keep looking forward to.
After the Tournament of Power, one assumes all or at least some of the other universes are coming back--it would be very foolish if they did not-- either via a wish on the Super Dragon Balls or because the Zen-Os are persuaded to bring them back because they enjoyed themselves so much or because of something Goku or the Grand Priest says to influence them. I'd have some kind of "universe exploration" arc, where all the characters have to go off on some quest that requires them to split into teams. Goku and Vegeta are out of the main picture mostly, and can hang out in U6 were they are meeting their counterpart Saiyans, and the rest of the cast can finally get a chance to shine. Have Gohan, Goten, Trunks and Piccolo off doing their thing, while Yamcha, Krillin, and Tien are over there, etc. Show off some of these new cultures and characters the Tournament of Power arc has teased us. And while most of the main cast are offworld and outside the universe, the defense of Earth is in the hands of 18, 17, Buu, and Roshi. I'm just spitballing, but you get my point. Give us something that doesn't involve Goku and Vegeta getting all the spotlight and being the only ones really strong enough to contribute anything to moving the plot forward. Do something other than "This guy is even more powerful than the last baddie!" Some of the best moments in Super are just the small character moments and interactions between the cast.
(Also, Goku came across as extremely unlikable in the first half of this arc, for a whole host of reasons, but his impromptu mentorship of Caulifla and Kale was actually very nice to see and more of that would be good. Same with Vegeta and Cabba; Vegeta getting to interact with his people, even if they're other universe counterparts, is a great addition to his character journey. I really want to see Cabba take him to Sadala and meet with the Saiyan king.)
After that, I'm cool with a time skip to get to where DBZ's epilogue left off; having Goku training Uub, and then resume from there. Or bring in Android 21 and adapt her story into a canon arc. Either one's good with me.
Super should end the way it began: with Goku and Beerus fighting. Their rematch, and the idea that Goku could one day equal or surpass Beerus when he's fighting seriously at 100% has been part of the show's overarching narrative since the start. Beerus was in many ways a ceiling created to humble Goku; a living embodiment of the the idea that there's always someone better out there. At the end of the Goku Black arc he still had a long way to go--in the manga Beerus even claims it would take 100 more years of training before Goku and Vegeta could hope to match him-- but Goku's new Ultra Instinct is something Beerus wasn't expecting, and the zenkai boosts from fighting Jiren, who's stronger than his own universe's God of Destruction, changes a lot of things. Goku might break past the limit that is Beerus, and Beerus might get a battle truly worthy of his time and effort after all.

Netflix's Castlevania comes back this summer with 8 episodes. I was hoping for 10, but 8's good.
Re: Animation and Comics

You know Aquaman is pissed when he breaks out the prehistoric sea life.
Re: Animation and Comics

Dyspo proved tougher than expected. He's so fast in his super mode even the Angels and the Zen-Os have trouble following some of his movements. Gohan and Freeza teamwork was required, and a self-sacrifice. Dyspo's finally out, but Gohan's out too.
Re: Animation and Comics

Toppo was in the running for becoming the next God of Destruction for his universe--Jiren didn't want the job apparently--and getting attacked by Golden Freeza and 17 is going to push him to that level of power it seems for next week. God!Toppo makes me think of Wilford Brimley.
I'd wager 17 is gonna be out next. Then Freeza, then Toppo, then Vegeta, and Goku will finally unlock the mastered form of Ultra Instinct and defeat Jiren, or fight him to a draw or a double KO.

You know, Jane, Black Panther has the scientific cure for cancer and Doctor Strange has the magical cure for cancer. You could have asked them if they'd be willing to share. Pretty sure Reed Richards could have cooked one up and medicine isn't even his area of expertise. With Doom trying to be good these days he could easily have come up with a cancer cure. Hell, coming up with cures for cancer is so easy in the Marvel Universe even Norman Osborn created one.
While Mangog has always been a tough foe for Thor, Odin has a long track record of beating him with little problem. Is Mangog supposed to be stronger now, or Odin weaker?

"According to Bleedingcool, Deathstroke is going to go up against Batman in April. The masterminds behind this will be Christopher Priest, Carlo Pagulayan and Lee Weeks."
DC really loves pitting Bruce and Slade against each other.

EMMA FROST, MISS SINISTER and BASTION have formed an unholy alliance, and now is the time for them to unleash Project: Mothervine! With the Original Five lost in space, a NEW TEAM of X-Men must rise to take their place!"

"ROGUE & GAMBIT #4: It’s ROGUE versus GAMBIT in a BATTLE ROYALE the likes of which you’ve never seen before! But when saving the day means letting go of everything you just fell in love with all over again, can Rogue and Gambit do what must be done?! Making out! Memory loss! Power swapping! Witty banter! Emotional manipulation! Monologuing Big Bads! Doppelganger Golem Clones! You want it? We got it!"
