Had a nice cool front up here. Went from 90s to 60s. Love it. Autumn is blissful.

As for work, still can't use my left arm for load bearing. But I've been able to do simple work again, so at least there's some income. Feeling the call of doing something more productive with my training and life as my birthday approaches again, but fuck if I know what. Going back to college is possible, but I'd need a hefty private loan on top of FAFSA to cover costs, and I don't really know what I'd even do with the degree.

I've had a lot of that recently too. People telling me that I should do more to get away from all of what I currently have, but they don't tell me how to do that. I'd love to get another job and move to another part of the country. I just don't know how or what to do.

I grew up just south of tornado alley and used to think those were the most terrifying, destructive things ever. Then you move to the coast and realize hurricanes, on top of their already monumental winds, torrential rain, and the storm surge, also throw off dozens of affiliated tornadoes just for fun.

If that thing makes landfall in their area at its current projection of Category 4 or 5 or whatever, I would strongly encourage them to get the heck out of Dodge if they can.

Spider-man on the PS4 is awesome.

Best Spider-man game ever so far, so took them forever to surpass the Spider-man 2 game.

Also the story is better then most of the Arkham games.

Moments of sheer brilliance, but the payoff at the end...

I can see why this game wasn't as well received as the rest of the series. Raiden aside, the story reached levels of absurdity that even MGS4 (again, previously the only one I had ever played) couldn't even dream of.

I cant say I hated it, but I definitely didn't like it. Fucking Dark Souls has a more coherent story then this.

Next is 3. Supposedly the best in the series. I sure as fuck hope it controls better...

I love--I LOOOVE-- how unabashedly proud this series is of being a video game.

Every memory of the past is from the shitty old ps1 graphics, or the pixies from the MSX. Its one of the only game series that seems to be downright proud that it is a videogame series. Its proud that it was once a MSX pixel based game. Its proud of those terrible PS1 polygons. Characters will mention the "controller" and the "buttons". It recognizes the absurdity that can only occur it games. It is downright beautiful.

It respects the medium. Despite how much people joke about how Kojima directs movies not games, he seems like the only person in the industry who is proud that his videogames are videogames.

The only other series that does anything close is Mario.

the controls got better, although you have to change your camouflage on your own (and you can find more by exploring and beat bosses with the tranquilizer pistol aside from The End who you have to sneak up on and hold up, but he gives you 1 of the best camouflages, it generates stamina when in the sun so it's nice to have), you also have to hunt animals for to get your stamina up and the new CQC takes a little getting use too and the food spoils by using the PS3 clock so time do pass even if you don't play.

Still MGS3 is best on new games + since you have can get some funny dialog and if you have collected all the camo (you keep it as long as you have the save) it's a lot easier.

Still the best part of the game is the story telling and radio chatter.

There is not just the little minigame on the PS3 version as there were on the PS2 which is sad, since it was weird and came out of nowhere.

I would personally like to see a movie or TV made by Kojima, just to see what he comes up with.

But he is good and making great game in general and he is good to his fans and threat them with some respect even if they can be a pain.

Well Peace Walker takes place story wise in the 70's and kinda show what Big Boss did and how he became more like the character you see and hear about later in the series, it was a PSP game so it's not as pretty and don't have all the controls of the other games, like crawling on the ground and you to "recruit" or more like kidnap enemy soldiers (so killing them is bad for the most) to recruit to your mother base, so you can make better equipment and you have to find blueprints to make certain weapons or upgrade them.

It takes some time, but if you want to know some of the stuff what Big Boss did that made him who he is, then well you can play it, it's pretty good for the most part, if a bit grindy a times.

As for Revangece well it takes place after MGS4 and is Bayonetta type of game and takes somewhere 6-8 hours to complete, so it's not that long, it's silly fun for the most and really awesome at times, I say give it a go simple because it's short and fun as hell.

As MGS5, I don't think you'll enjoy it, the story is incomplete because Konami fired Kojima during production, the gameplay is great, but there it gets really grindy near the end, because Konami wanted mircotranactions in the game. I find it at times, but the story took a nose dive because of Konami interference, still a solid 8 out of 10 in my opinion though.

I learned about the Battlefield V controversy today. Apparently the customization options everyone was going mad about are in multiplayer.

I get why people could be mad to see those options in the main story, especially if the game pretends to be accurate. But it's in multiplayer, and it doesn't pretend to be a reenactment, so...I mean, I lost count of the time I spent on Mass Effect 3's MP, and most of the missions I took part in were totally impossible, like a geth and quarian squad going on Tuchanka, or Rannoch being defended by Awakened collectors, former Cerberus members and Krogan Warlords. The whole point of a MP is to throw faithfulness to the script out of the window.

And the studio also missed an easy way to be the grown up of the situation by basically taunting the discontent.
