As a huge Castlevania nerd, there were some claims in their research that seem fuzzy at the very least… but I can let it slide.

Demonic Meggido being a holy attack is only in two games, and in those scenarios they are cast by a mage-type "Innocent Devil", and a dual crush combo by Soma and Alucard in a spinoff game. Not the best sources to cite. And in every other game its treated as a fire-based spell when its even given a elemental property, as usually its just treated as an instant KO attack, and so the programmers don't even bother with such things. Drac is vulnerable to holy attacks; being at the epicenter of a holy nuke seems like it would be super self-destructive, like a vampire jumping into an Olympic sized swimming pool filled with holy water. Stands to reason Drac's Demonic Meggido spell would not be holy, but hellish in nature. All his fireballs are treated as literal hellfire, seems like it would just be that times a thousand.

That’s an interesting interpretation of Chaos they got. Dracula being more than just a vampire by being the literal “Anti-God” (or Dark Lord/King of the Night, as the games put it) in Castlevania’s setting has been established for a quite a long time in the series, but the impression I always got in the games was that Chaos was just Dracula’s vast, concentrated demonic power manifesting itself into a physical entity --as it was separated from Dracula’s soul, which was reincarnated as Soma Cruz as per Aria of Sorrow’s story-- to try to forcibly reunite with its reluctant other half via combat. (Because the solution Julius Belmont came up with to end the war against Dracula and stop his perpetual resurrection cycle was to separate his soul from his power and seal away Castlevania—itself a living creature of chaos that is symbiotically linked to Drac in such a way that they are one in the same— in an alternate dimension. So Chaos is less a primordial, intelligent Anti-God in and of itself that’s existed since before the beginning of time and Dracula was its avatar/chosen one in the physical plane, and more like the living heart of Castlevania itself, which feeds on the negativity and sins of humanity so it can never truly be destroyed as long as humans exist, desperately trying to reunite with its former master/self, which would then in turn bring about the Anti-God’s rebirth as Dracula would be reborn in Soma's body. As Soma absorbed more and more of Dracula's power in Aria of Sorrow, more of Dracula's personality and memories started to subsume his own identity. Soma was both his own person and Dracula simultaneously; reincarnation is tricky like that. Soma was only able stop the transformation by resealing Chaos, and even then that's not a permanent fix as the bad ending in Dawn of Sorrow shows all it takes its a moment of tragedy and hatred to cause it all to come rushing back.) But I admit I could be remembering wrong; its been a long, long time since I’ve played Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow. I'd have to go back and do some research.

Anyhoo, so Mob vs Tatsumaki next? After the crazy shit that went down in season 2, I think I gotta give the edge to Mob.

Considering that they were the dominate species it's not that surprising even some mamales today have hooves and sometimes different species evolves similar traits despite not being in the species tree (there is a word for this evolution but I can't remember it).

You're looking for "convergent evolution", aka when organisms who are not closely related develop similarly to cover similar roles in the ecosystem. And yes, there has been animals bigger than horses who had hooves, including a giant whooly rhino. A fair few people suspected dinos might have hooved-like feet, due to their foot anatomy, but since hooves are generally made of cheratine or other fast-degrading materials, having some confirmation of the theory is quite interesting indeed.

Ya know, this is one of those things that seems really weird at first (because when one thinks of hooves one automatically thinks of ungulate mammals, and is thus a more "recent" adaptation) but when you really stop and think about it, it makes sense. Because yeah, of course at least a couple probably had hooves of some kind--dinos were around for so long, diversified into so many ecosystems, filled so many ecological niches, and adapted against so many obstacles, there was bound to be at least a couple species that went down that particular evolutionary path. And a lot of mammals ended up filling a lot of the vacuums dinosaurs left behind.

None of this is to say a new Okami game is in development. The tweet seems to be meant to express interest in the creation of a sequel, and nothing more. However, it may be public campaigns such as these that could trigger Capcom to approve a sequel. That is how the Resident Evil 2 remake was given the green light.

Got my Armour Through the Ages minis, mainly for the Mk1 Power Armor, aka, THUNDAH WARRIOR. He's the same size as my Guardsmen. Heresy. My Primaris is taller. Double Heresy. Whenever I get a Custodes, he better be bigger. Triple Heresy is a hard nut to swallow. Unless you're used to swallowing nuts, I guess.

I assume you've all seen the Astartes short movies, that's about how I picture a Custodes going against Spess Mehrines, only without a squad. And then a Primarch could probably take somewhere between 5 and 500 Custodes, depending on who's writing and the Primarch in question. Seems like the major difference is the Primarchs have warp fuckery, Custodes have none and are incorruptible, like the first 5000 marines.

Actually, since the Sisters of Silence were supposed to deploy with the Banana Boys in case of combat, Drag, have the Primarchs ever gone up against Blanks?

That's actually not so far from the truth. The Primaris Marines, aka the new and bigger ones, are a new batch meant to be bigger, better and less prone to mutations than the regular ones.

I don't think I've heard or read of an account where non-daemon Primarchs having ever had to go up against Blanks, other than the Sisters of Silence that came with the Space Wolves when they attacked Magnus and the Thousand Sons on Prospero, and their presence weakened Magnus' psychic powers enough that it most certainly tipped the battle in Leman Russ' favor.

Ya know, the lore regarding Blanks is so hazy and vague and inconsistent these days. It really needs some cleaning up. For one thing, GW can't even decide what being one means in regards to having a soul--some books state Blanks are literally soulless, while others say they do have a soul, but its an anti-soul (think of it as if theirs are "negatively" charged as opposed to regular and psyker souls which are "positively" charged, similar to the relationship between matter and anti-matter/protons and antiprotons) For another, some books imply the Sisters of Silence were capable of seeing through the Emperor's glamours/biomancy to see the real him under it all, while others say the Emperor just let them see what they think they should be seeing, and it serves his purposes that the Sisters only think Big E was just a normal man.
