Ayy, USA beat South Korea twice to advance to the finals of the Overwatch World Cup. First time they've made it so far. Watching a bit of the WoW Arena tournament, can't get into it at all. Nothing happens until you get an ideal line up of cooldowns and CC after running around aimlessly for 10+ minutes, when the dampening debuff makes it actually possible to kill someone.

Personally, I have actually been going out of my way to not look at the new Pokemon that have leaked. I just wanted to know what the starter evolutions were, and which of the old ones are coming back.

Interesting. I had assumed we knew the full list of what will and will not be in Pokemon Sword and shield, but I'm now finding wildly differing lists of which Pokemon are and are not returning.

This list has notably less returning Pokemon on it, however, it includes some that were listed as not returning on the previous list.

This new one isn't exactly a deal breaker. It includes some of my favorites that I assumed were cut, but I have no idea which list is accurate. I feel like this must be a Sword version vs Shield version thing.

I'm willing to bet that the character of Revolver Ocelot exists because someone let Kojima shoot one. After having shot mine a few times at this point, I can tell you that the Revolver Ocelot thing where he loves reloading his gun makes perfect sense with a Single Action Army. It just feels good.


Anyway people here weren't big on Red Dead 2? I was super skeptical pre-release, but man i thought that game was spectacular.

I second (third?) the endorsement on RDR2. It's the only open world game I've ever played where the random side content could keep me occupied for hours of sheer enjoyment. It's the only game I've every played that's actually come close to mirroring what being out in "open country" or whatever actually feels like. It's so good that the game actually partially scratches my nature itch which builds up to interminable restlessness the longer I stay in a city without leaving. The animal behavior and hunting and fishing stuff are actually quite accurate and fun. The horses are the best in any video game - control, personality, and look wise. And the game is just fucking beautiful. I would just sit and look at stuff sometimes.

And that's without even getting into the plot and characters, which are stellar. Arthur Morgan is my favorite video game protagonist in years. It's hard to explain exactly why it's so excellent without spoilers but it's just very well put together.

Personally i never liked John Marston. I didnt have any love or nostalgia for him at all.

But i do think Arthur Morgan is one of the strongest game protagonists i have ever seen.

Well, haven't had a proper rage quit in a good long while. Tried to do a last few OW QP matches before the event ends, and I go to sleep, obviously my tank queue pops first. Utterly useless DPS in both, picking useless classes against the enemy teams, and failing that, not even attempting to play off me. The fourth time I got hosed down by the unchallenged Bastion, while my team went off on random ass flanks routes, rage quit.

Good to know I still have that spark of petulance in me.
