Ah.

Well, now that you have beaten it, how was it? Both as a game experience and as a story?

The story is Hideo Kojima at his craziest, it's great, weird and have a good few WTF moments.

The gameplay is where I think the game suffers the most.
The gameplay is mostly delivering cargo with a bit of combat missions sprinkled out and not that challenging I didn't die once on normal.
Driving around and combat feels off, I can't describe it better then that.
if it wasn't for the social aspect where you can use other players structures they build and and vehicles they leave behind well the delivering would be very boring, however you still need to unlock the social stuff by getting a facility to hook up on a network which takes at least one star rating (yes the facilities have 5 star rating systems).

Not much of a reviewer but it's not a game I would recommend or not recommend because it's hard to describe what the really is.

5. Given the oceans under its ice and hydrothermal vents, there just might be life down there, even if its only simple and primitive microbes/bacteria/algae; we wont know for sure unless we explore and send probes

I have little to no experience with truly cold weather, but I was in Chicago last week for training during that crazy snowstorm they had. I got plenty of sleep but was still having to chug like 4 cups of coffee a day not to fall asleep by noon (and I hate coffee). That's not a problem I have down here at all. Made me wonder if there's some kind of actual biological thing with tiredness and the weather.

It's a full blown Valve game that isn't a shitty card game nobody will care about it.

It's STILL more work than they did on something gaming-wise in about a decade.

I'm not into VR personally... I suspect it's gonna be cluckly, short and overpriced, but we'll see. Maybe the a-holes at Epic Games have shaken enough Valve's tree that thei're gonna remember to make games again, and this isn't a one-off.

We knew the finale for the unreleased third expansion for HL2. And even then, that would tell us nothing of an hypothetical third game, even if they stuck to that narrative.

My Stockholme Syndrome for Pokemon is setting in because I'm getting more and more hooked, and its faults, which are many, are becoming less noticeable.

I am debating on what my team should be. The only two Pokemon I am committed to keeping right now are my Sobble and my Rookidee. I have a Grubbin and a Growlith in my party to round it out, and they have been serving me well, but they aren't for sure going to be long-term. I think I want a Larvitar on my team, it's been a while since I fielded a Tyranitar.

Just some brief Pokemon talk. I probably said this already, but I feel like saying it again.

Cinderace (the final evolution of Scorbunny) might be my favorite starter in the entire series. Aside from just liking the design, (because I'm a degenerate furry) it might be the single most effective starter I have ever used. It's insanely fast, it hits incredibly hard, it has a solid move pool, and its hidden ability (which isn't available yet, but still) is Libero. Which is basically Protean*. Which was so good it briefly got greninja banned.

*Protean changed the pokemons typing to the move you had just used. So if you select a poison attack, your pokemon's typing is now poison. You will then launch the attack as a poison type, thus doing 20% extra damage. You will remain that typing till you use a new move, thus allowing you to avoid taking extra damage from your weaknesses.

Finished detailing the scenery of my Necron mini-diorama!



The tiny obelysks are 3rd party objetive markers. I originally bought some cheapo 3d-printed necron buildings too, but I failed miserably to smooth them out, and they didn't even take paint all that well, so I scrapped them. More room for the actual minis, I guess. Also, on the raised area where the Cryptek is gonna go I added the tiny scarabs that come as extra in the Necron Warriors sprues. I know, they should be floating slightly above the ground, but the support for them were so tiny and flimsy I felt safer just gluing them on the base *shrugs*

Now I've assembled the bodies of the two Warriors I plan to put in the scene. Will do the arms separately, so the giant guns they hold don't get in the way of painting the body.

My neighbor gave me a transmission to recycle, so I spent a few hours yesterday learning how to take one apart. It's all for the aluminum. The key to the gears was taking out the locking rings. I still can't believe I got so far all by myself.
