Rune, while I appreciate the sentiment, that is entirely unnecessary.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Happy new year to y'all as well. May the next decade be better for everyone than the last one.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
I wish you all a Happy New Year even though I know that there might be some happiness incompatibilities between different peuple here in the upcoming year.
May your health be good.

Still don't have flying cars. At this point, it’s just the principle of the thing. We need to do it just so we can say we did it.

I think they have the same VA. And why did you prefer Yosuke over Ryuji? Similar role to each other, and Junpei, but Ryuji's a little edgier and does that silly Japanese squat-walk.

Oh fuck. So here's whats happening.
There is a character in Persona 5 named Yusuke.
I dont know why I didn't process that there is no way you would have met him yet.

@Theo: Easy mistake. Jap names are real hard to remember, even when you can speak the language a bit. Mostly by swapping one of the hiragana around, Takamata, Tamakata, Tatamaka, who the fuck knows. I do know I need my analyze bitch soon, because guessing by wasting turns is getting grating.
@Mob: Congratulations! Well done, man. Been a busy decade for you.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Good. That fucking triple demon fight just now ended my sojourn into the palace, I always try to 1 day these things if I can. But I was utterly out of SP and SP items. Once I figured out the Golden Demon's weakness, on the third try, it was like a game of musical chairs, knocking someone down, baton passing, healing, knockdown, until I got all 3 down at once.

The bank is the first palace I'd call hard. It ruined me on my first try too. Who are your current companions?
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Jok-ah, Ryuji, Ann, Useless.
The first one was the hardest thus far, though I'm doing Momentos too shore up levels too, but I seem to be getting past the "every enemy can 1-2 shot anyone but Joker."

Uh...Who is 'useless'?
Anyway I dont know exactly where you are, but you are either very close to, or already have, a party member who absolutely destroys just about every enemy in the bank.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
The new chick, with the Nucleaaaaarrrrrr powers. Got triggered about being called useless. Makoto! That's it.
Really? She hasn't done much beyond the 2 or 3 enemies that are weak to Nukes. The rest has been Joker, really, since my other teammates don't have the right elements in half the fights.

In my experience almost everything in the Bank is weak to nuclear and gunshots.
I personally thought Makoto was the one of the most useful party members period. Generally the new party member for the area tends to be the one that is the most useful for that area.
Aaaaaanyway. More importantly, who are you going to romance?
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
I'm on Hard, does that affect resistances?
But yeah, that's how I've generally run it. Had to go and get Artboy, because the lack of ice was fucking me so much on these vault packs. To which, of course, he then proceeds to cause a double Maragi, as you do, and then eats 2 Rages in a row while everyone else resisted it. Had to waste so much SP and consumables on this stupid vault shit.
I basically need to build my team around Joker doing everything, and lug the others around as elemental batteries who're guarding the rest of the time.

I have no idea. I dont have shit to prove, I played on normal.
But Joker is the main damage dealer in this game. Personally I found Morgana useful too, because of healing and move with an extremely high crit-rate.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
I beat Control, and I have to say my overall feelings are sort of mixed.
The universe and lore they created is very cool (if unapologetically ripping off The SCP Foundation), but its all in service of mediocre third person shooting with horrible Souls-Like-light mechanics and an (admittedly fun) telekinesis gimmick.
I cant for the life of me understand why they went this route. Why on earth wouldn't you make this a slow paced adventure game?
It seems like such a massive waste of potential for a cool setting. Eventually I stopped doing side missions because, while those lead to the most interesting lore, I couldn't deal with the game anymore.
It feels like Nier Automata if Neir Automata was completely unsuccessful in its mission to use mediocre action to facilitate a completely bonkers story.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
This bank vault is starting to really piss me off. Can't bring half the team because they trigger double attacks, and that's a team wipe. Don't bring them, forced non-ambush fight, enemy wipes the team in their opening turn with a lucky AOE crit. Twice. Get past that, teammates drop randomly from crits proccing a second attack. Just now, random pack gets a double turn without a crit or a weakness attack, for some reason, wipes the team with Maragi spam.
It's not even a matter of healing, I have lots of items and SP to spare, it's a matter of having to get an ambush and winning in that turn or there's a game over coming. And with the enemies all having different elemental damages, I can't possibly cover the spread with any one persona. Go grind or reload until I beat the dice roll, more or less. Guess the "tactical" choice is to grind until I'm 10+ levels above the enemies.

I wanted to revise my judgment re:Pokemon Sword/Shield. Dynamax is real good in the context of Max Raid Battles, those bring a refreshing new side to the game - it still sucks when it comes to normal battles.
However, the AI allied trainers can be hair-pullingly stupid. Special mention to Eevee, Togepi, Clefairy, Wobuffet and Solrock which often are dead spots on your team (and you can get more than one of them among your 3 allies).
Also, on a sidenote, I don't think I've seen a main game with such a difference in power between the legendaries of both versions. Shield's alright I guess, but Sword's is a complete beast.

Steel Fairy typing is fucking insane. That's probably why.
Its why no one liked klefki, but everyone used one.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Well, cleared NEET's palace. It was much more enjoyable than the bank, minus the Anubis. He was a fuck. No weaknesses, insta kills, Almighty AOE, fuck him. Had to use Vanish Balls on the final run up to the boss, because to kill him took way too much resources. Boss was alright, once I figured out the gimmick was to survive until Cutscene no Jutsu fired. Which is an annoying thing sometimes, but when her big fly attack one shot my party, at full health, through Guard, on the first attempt, figured I'd need to keep the bitch dosed with debuffs. The palace itself was fun, the puzzles and entwined design, plus the little Egyptian town that served no other purpose than getting the scroll.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
My final Christmas present arrived today. My mother was very kind as to help me add to my antique firearm collection.
This is a Springfield Model 1898 Krag Jorgenson Rifle, circa 1901ish. It was the first repeating rifle ever adopted by the US Military or more accurately, the 1892 was the first. Then the 1894. Then the 1896. THEN the 1898. The adoption was a bit of a clusterfuck.
Getting a good picture is damned near impossible as the whole rifle is 41 inches long. Such is the nature of old guns.
This rifle was used primarily in the Spanish-American war, and again in the Philippine-American war. The Spanish were using the German Mauser 1893. A rifle so effective that even after utterly destroying the Spanish opposition, the notoriously behind the times American Military knew they had to adopt a new rifle.
In about 1903-5ish, the US military abandoned the Krag, and switched to the Springfield Model 1903. Which was, essentially, a Mauser... Which we didn't have the patent for. Mauser sued and the US had to pay a fee for every rifle produced. During WW1, the US was STILL paying a percentage per rifle to a German Arms Manufacturer, even while on opposing sides of the war.
Anyway, the Krag Rifle is an interesting piece of history, and I am very happy to add it to my collection.
(For context, this is the 'Bolt Action Rifle' in Red Dead Redemption 2.)

That boss was a bitch to fight, normal dif, and I cheered when I cracked how to beat her. She just took too long to beat.

Piggytron was more of an issue, honestly, since his last phase of his second form is a real time check. The AOE fear fart and the spamming of his big nuke was rough. Saved the tossing of expensive items until then, otherwise I'd fail to actually knock him off in time.

Grant it I was only playing on normal, but I thought he was the easiest boss by far. I felt like stopping his super move was incredibly easy, to the point of I wasn't convinced I had beaten him when the fight ended.
