I heard that you can practice emptying your mind with meditation, and it can actually be beneficial in some ways. Those people look like they are perpetually meditating.

The best graph I found to look at deaths in different countries. Number of death is I think the only proper way to compare the state of different countries because "survival rate" has less to do with how good the healthcare is, and more with how much testing has been done to find patients.

In any event, the line makes it look like lockdown is starting to have an effect in Italy. Since we are one week late in France I assume we have 7 rough days in front of us before it starts getting better, hopefully (still, we're expected not to come out until late April/early May).

Considering that the U.S. have not reached the state of lockdown that exists in Europe, I expect their numbers to keep climbing for a while. I understand why the WHO suggests it will be the next epicenter of the pandemic. They might overtake the total number of deaths in China very soon.

The UK numbers are strange, because despite being very late to the party when it comes to countermeasures, they already seem to be experiencing the growth decrease that has been observed in Iran or China after strong lockdowns. However, their initial growth was one of the largest, and they're still dealing with small death numbers, meaning that standard deviation might make the line go back up fast - and if it does they might end up worse than Italy.

Bottom line: South Korea and Japan reacted as everyone should have. To a degree, China did too.

And Brazil is in very, very deep shit: they have closed their borders, but as far as I know they haven't taken very serious lockdown measures yet (then again the psycho in charge is blaming the media for spreading panic).

I respect the speed they responded (if their numbers are true and not a propaganda number) but I will never forget they've caused this shit situation, either by negligence or on purpose. I just hope there is an international investigation done and the source of the problem is solved.

I imagine that people without inner monologues just simply do their day. They wash dishes then go to work, etc, but they probably talk more with people more throughout the day. They go to a restaurant and know what they already want without having to think about what they want. They see a person to talk to and talk to them. They know they have to do something so they just do it. I've used a little meditation in the past to clear my mind. It's...definitely liberating.

A slightly less infected people per day, still high death rate. At least in the northern regions where the virus arrived first. But on the southern regions, where a whole lot of the most ignorant and careless people are, the illness is on the rise, so we're far from being out of the woods.

Just got back from a training even in SC. No symptoms so far, but I was in a hotspot for a few weeks. The attitude down there is quite nihilistic and dismissive of a lung destroying virus that can linger in the air and on surfaces longer than other diseases. Right now I'm on self-quarantine, and with the state soon to be locked down I'll find out eventually if I'm infected. I was almost locked down in SC for 14 days, but I got home in time.

My unit will probably not be mobilizing for civil asset protection unless a certain element of MN's population decides to be retarded, but I have everything prepped for it. People, especially that section of the population, are especially stupid.

DOOM Eternal? It should win game of the year. It blows everything else out of the water, hands down.

Since I'm stuck at home and have to find ways to spend time, I've been giving the pokemon randomizer a try - for DS games, it's a bit too complicated right now to do the same with 3DS games. I wanted to try a Nuzlocke challenge since I've never done it, on Black 2.

But I was a bit too ambitious with my original presets. Forgetting to check "Don't use legendaries" for wild encounters? Hello level 4 Rayquaza in the first grass (and next try, it was Terrakion). Also, some trainer duels were unwinnable - Bronzong with Dragon Dance when my two pokemon at that time were one pure poison, and one plant poison (it had a Flying move...). Also, there were some surprises, like being hit by Rollout while using Dig - turns out (I assume) in that random rom, Excadrill had No Guard.

But it is also really funny to see things such as Drizzle Cleffa, or watching Lapras use Flame Charge (despite checking the "favor same type moves" in the randomizer).

So I'll retry and make "same level swaps". The beginning will be easier, but on the other hand it will also make endgame harder since otherwise the league might have been full of baby mons. I think I'll also do it on Black, not Black 2, because the story was better if I recall properly.

There's a short story in the new White Dwarf about the Custodes bringing Primaris Greyshields and tech to a chapter in the bad part of the galaxy. End up finding them after a long wild goose chase, down to 20 marines, led by their last librarian, as they hold up in their last ship from an ork assault.

Fine and dandy and all. But they have an Allarus Terminator get taken down and _hacked apart_ by regular orkz during the battle.

Even in their own story, made to be jobbers. Those suits are made to withstand orbital weapons without injury, a mob of boyz does not possess the weight of weaponry to do shit to that.

So far we're good. My brother and I both work in grocery stores so we're getting more exposure than we'd like, but when I shop for clients I wear my mask, constantly sanitize my hands and don't talk to anyone, and he's constantly minimizing his exposure to customers. Spent all weekend at home in my studio, which is nice, but the demand for online grocery delivery has never been higher and it's the best time to make money doing it, so I'll have to get out and make up for the weekend. Parents are good, they're both retired nurses and my mom was the infection control nurse for her hospital, so she's got everything secured where they are.

I'm doing okay.
Was kinda super depressed last week. I think I am coming around now.
I work in retail so I'm on the frontline almost as much as it can be without working in the medical field and I honestly am still terrified but...hey, I gotta eat. And for that I need money.
Sucks having asthma at a time like this but, hey, my work isn't going to send me home with a paycheck and I have a little more pride to go on the dole so....yeah.

I have pretty much come to the realization that catching the virus is pretty much inevitable. Now of course that doesn't mean I am gonna go out and try and catch it, or leave myself vulnerable to do so, but I am pretty certain that sometime this year I am gonna get it.

I just dread the moment I do. Because if I get it then my dad gets it.
And if We both get it one, or both of us will need hospitalization. If he gets it first then He goes in and I really hope he comes back out again. If I get it first and I go in then I hope he's not too stupid to stay at home and go in to hospital when he gets it and doesn't die at home. I also hope I don't die in hospital.
I hope we both don't die.

But me and my dad are doing okay.

My mum is okay, who I really worried for. She's got my half-brothers around so they're keeping her safe.
My sister is doing okay, was sent to work from home as she works in the car insurance biz so, she can be safe.

I just hope everyone stays safe this year.

I fear for my family in America. Especially my aunt, who also has some breathing issues.

Basically I am coming down from panics.
I know that if I get it I am definitely gonna get it from work, but because I work in a cheap place the amount of protection I have is basically nothing.

And because the UK is locked-down, essentially, all the other work is drying up/no point in looking.

China's being lying out their ass about this since the very beginning; I too hope someone does a serious investigation to find the full truth, expose it for all to see, and calculate the cost China's lies here have done to the world in regards to human death and suffering, social upheaval and economic ruin so no one forgets. China knew about this at least by November but choose to keep it secret and cover it up, maybe even earlier, had the doctors and scientists and journalists who tried to get the truth out silenced or "disappeared", destroyed evidence, allowed huge social gatherings and international travel to continue which spread the disease even faster, used their considerable influence in the World Health Organization by bribing, deceiving, or coercing them into telling people there's nothing to worry about and international travel is safe and actively praise China's response and continues to downplay the severity for the longest time, China massively underreport their numbers of both infected and death cases, rejects help from other nations, threatens to withhold medical supplies to some countries, gives medical supplies to countries like Italy and Spain but the supplies are defective and useless, begins a massive disinformation propaganda campaign to escape culpability, accountability and responsibility and blame other countries as the source of the virus, and countless more besides. Horrific levels of callousness, negligence and incompetence. China is not our friend, and is not to be trusted. My family's doing well enough. I'm making sure we have food and supplies, family is bringing over stuff now and again for my grandma, and no one is sicker than usual. Though we have several people who're high risk. Though we're north Jersey, right near NYC, so we're not far from where I presume larger outbreaks might be found as time goes on.
