"Our development team at Remedy has worked very hard to bring you something special. We managed to pack quite a few features into this expansion.
First of all, what is an AWE? It’s short for Altered World Event, which occur when paranatural forces breach our world. Sometimes, AWEs are minor and go unnoticed. However, sometimes AWEs cause catastrophic events. Historically, the Investigations Sector was where the Federal Bureau of Control’s dangerous work of searching for AWE cases was coordinated from, and where evidence was stored… until things went horribly, horribly wrong, and the sector was sealed off years ago.
Director Jesse Faden has to enter the sector to chase down a mysterious being that’s been stalking this long-abandoned area for years. In order to reclaim the Investigations Sector from the clutches of this creature of darkness, Jesse will need to explore the numerous Altered World Events investigated here, including one from the town of Bright Falls.
Our team had a lot of fun with putting tons of little details around the sector for you to discover. We went for a moodier, more suspenseful approach for this expansion, so be careful. But don’t get too scared while you’re at it!
To help, you can use a new Service Weapon form called Surge, in essence a sticky grenade launcher, which is great for blowing stuff up. You can do a lot of that in Control as you fight the Hiss, since Surge uses up to four explosives that can be remotely detonated. And you’ll need it to fight the new enemy type, the Hiss Airborne Ranger, which can fly and attacks Jesse with a shotgun.
One of the most requested features from the community has been the ability to replay missions. While we can’t quite offer you that, there is an Altered Item that looks very much like an arcade machine, which resides in the Investigations Sector hub. It enables you to replay four boss fights from the campaign (as long as you have already completed them), as well as the much-loved Ashtray Maze. On top of that, you can also play a brand new horde mode, and the machine contains a few other surprises we won’t spoil here. There’s definitely some excellent rewards up for grabs, including a new outfit for Jesse.
We also have a free August update coming for all Control owners that brings along a new ability upgrade, additional usability options, and more checkpoints added to some of the trickier campaign missions.
Finally, you might have heard a certain Alan Wake narrating the trailer and showing up at the very end. Over the years, we have included Easter eggs in our games that related some of Remedy’s games to each other, as you have seen if you played Control… but what if they were not all just Easter eggs?"

"Leinenkugle's Summer Shandy" has been a mild disappointment. Figured it'd be fairly light with a strong lemon taste. Instead it's _very_ light, with only an acidic tinge.
Those commercials promised a summer fun time on a lake with chicks in bikinis and buff dudes, I demand a refund.

Looks like the Court of Owls is indeed the Big Bad. If the whole Bat-Family is playable this time as the rumors suggest, then they better remember to include Cassandra Cain.

So, yay.
So, now I can go around outside of my ship soon, when will I be able to do a Star Citizen and walk around inside it?

I guess. I'm prepared to be very unimpressed.
I liked MK Aftermath a lot, but the problem is that they have gotten so good at telling a story, its kind of becoming increasingly more lame to try to reduce everything in the series to one on one battles in an arena.
Part of why I am so disappointing with the Rocksteady news, is i was hoping that Rocksteady would get the chance to make a Mortal Kombat game that picks up where Aftermath left off. The new timeline starring the Great Kung Lao and you could travel the realms with, I dont know, Johnny Cages 'insufferable' ancestor.

Mortal Kombat right now is the best selling fighting game in the West. I'd love to get more games set in that world that aren't just battle arenas, but I don't expect them risking to change the formula too much and lose money. I am hoping in at least the next MK game to be set in ancient times and centered around the Great Kung Lao and God Liu-Kang, tho.
As for MK11, I just hope we get some few more good actual MK characters added to it, and that thei're not just gonna charge people for and other Kombat Pack half filled guest kombatants, especially if one of them is Harley Quinn as some rumors claim.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Rocksteady actually proposed a Superman game that apparently even had a roughly playable state, but WB Games shot it down because higher-ups felt that the public wouldn't be interested in playing as Superman. It's pretty evident about how out of touch some people running these companies can be.
Microsoft Flight Sim dropped today, and I think it's worth sharing that the game has the literal entire world rendered in real-time, and you can fly anywhere a plane could take you.
It is.
I'm in the middle of the Shiva story arc, and it's mildly more interesting than the last dozen quests I did where I traveled the world chaperoning Alph. I hope I get to Heansword soon.

Sinekein wrote:I will also add that those quests made me rather despise one of the NPC you have to interact a lot with, but this was also clearly by design as future events absolutely changed my mind.
Also, I do not know if you have done the level 50 24-player Alliance Raids yet (Crystal Tower in Mor Dhona), but they are now a requirement to complete the Shadowbringers story - so at the moment I think that no matter which job you're playing queue time should be rather short.

Ill never understand this argument.
I never said they should stop making fighting games altogether, I'm just saying they can do more with the franchise than one thing.

Heard that Oculus headsets might soon require a Facebook account to log in. I assume that implies if you're banned, you cannot access software updates, which would be effectively a hardware lockout, if not one already.

I agree with you. But the people in charge might be worried about a non-fighting MK game to not be as profitable and stick to the one thing.

There's people in Hollywood who thought making a Wild Wild West movie with a giant steampunk tarantula was a safer move than making a new IP, that's a whole other can of worms, and I'm not sure NRS is putting that much money into it.
And it's funny, 'cuz with all the shitty videogame films that came after, Anderson's MK film now is considered one of the few "so bad it's good ones" and I'm kind of inclined to agree.

Hit the nail on the head, both in general, and for Superman in particular.

Beat Persona 5 for the 4th time. (Two base game, two Royal.)
And now I am in that post Persona stage of having no idea what to do with my life or time... Hell, I could probably play Persona 4 again and feel perfectly ok about it, but I'm going to give the series a bit of a break. I dont want to burn out on something I am getting so much enjoyment out of. I was considering finally rolling into Persona 3, but considering that will almost assuredly be getting a port on Steam that, hopefully, manages to fix the issues with that games various versions, I figure i should wait.
Maybe Nier Automata again. Its been a while.
All I know is a sure as hell haven't been buying any new games this year.

I'm in the middle of my Persona 5 Royal run, I said I was going to start it a while ago, and it was only about a week ago that I finally made good on that promise. I'm now farther than my initial run back in P5 Vanilla, and it's been fun. The point that I am at right now is that Yusuke has just joined my team.
I'm honestly surprised that there wasn't a big debacle over him basically trying to use sexual extortion to Ann.
I sincerely hope so, because I was immensely displeased with how slow and uneventful the story became for the past several hours.
