Is Star Citizen _still_ not out?

Though I've had Bloodstained on my Steam wishlist for a while, and it's on sale now. Is it actually good? The only 2D games I care to play anymore are Shantae, and my impression is Bloodstained is a more difficult, complex game in the same genre.

Well yes, it is a Metroidvania, emphasis on the 'vania part in this case, of course. I can't currently play it because my PC is bing a bitch and at this point I'll just save for a new one rather than repair this one, but from what I've seen you're being spot on with that impression.

It's the spiritual successor to Castlevania, done in the style of games like Symphony of the Night, Aria of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia, etc. So if Metroidvania's are your speed, you'll love it.

Every now and again, I see news about it pop up. A new alpha build, some new features, a new round of fundraising ships.

The process deserves multiple academic studies regardless of what happens.

I've discovered I have been eating shrimp incorrectly my entire life.

I knew there was a little chunk of meat in the tail going to waste, but no one ever told me, and it never occurred to me until now, that if I lightly bite and twist, it'll come loose. Braver man than me. I'll eat a little shard of it, if it comes off during the process. But it's like gristle, I can handle a little bit, but a big, chewy piece that you chew and chew and get nowhere with, ech.

Boy, oh, boy the GPU market is fucked right now. 100%+ markup on pretty much all decent mid-range to upper-range cards. On the plus side, I got every other part at a very good price, all on the way. This rig lasted 8 years just fine, and the new one should last even longer. Just gotta get a GPU, whenever the miners stop blowing out the market.

Edit: Looking like an RTX 3060 Ti is the sweet spot for me. And they sold out instantly yesterday too, apparently. So if any of you guys know someone or see one in a store, let me know, and I'll reimburse you if the price is around $400.

I beat Age of Calamity. I had a good time with it, and will probably do the last few side quests before Cyberpunk releases.

It's an alternate timeline. Which really didn't need to be a thing in the Zelda series, but the way they go about it is so delightful its hard to complain too much.

Essentially the story is beat for beat what we already knew, until the moment in which Calamity Ganon awakens, and everything is supposed to go to shit. At the last moment, the guardian that traveled though time opened up more rifts in time, and the modern Sidon, Yanobo, Riju, and the Rito whose name slips my mind each buy their predecessor enough time to be saved by Link and co.

Essentially it is a 'what could have been' story where they never lost control of the Divine Beasts, and were able to rally all of Hyrule's remaining forces to take back the land from the Calamity.

I dont really understand why Nintendo was so adamant about this being a prequel. These events will almost assuredly not influence the sequel to Breath of the Wild, but i do find it interesting that they called the game canon. (Or at least i think they did. Im pretty sure they made a big deal out of it.) Whats another timeline to Zelda lore, right?

It's nice to know there was at least one universe in which Link and Mipha had a happy ending together.

I liked it though. A lot actually. I like the characters enough that i was willing to deal with the repetition of a Dynasty Warriors game. Even after getting a whole game that is essentially just more time with the Champions, I still hope we get more of them in the sequel.
