Enjoying my time with Injustice2 even more than I thought I would. The whole looboxes/motherboxes-based gear system is annoying as heck tho. But at least the game is being fairly generous with the loot. Wouldn't be surprised if it used to be far less generous when it launched and there were more people around to tempt with spending extra irl money for good loot tho.

I'm now at a point where I am starting to do main mission again and that apparently makes more of the big side missions pop up, so lots to do. I lost a bit of motivation during the week, where I only had a few hours to do gigs and blue alerts, but back doing actual story missions was excellent. I fear tomorrow is a day for all the rest of the stuff I need to do (wash clothes, wash dishes, call my mom, raiding in WoW, prepping tabletop roleplaying rounds, watching STD and some anime, watching Youtube), so I'll only really get back into it on the 26th, but from there it's a straight rush for nine days to play as much as I want.

I still love zipping through Night City on a motorcycle or in one of the new cars. BTW, get the nomad Quadra, it's really good, sturdy and maneuverable, for only 73000 eddies.

Nomad vehicles are arguably the best. The Nomad Quadra is definitely my favorite. Fast, agile, not too whippy, pretty good off road.

I am partial to the Batmobile. Won each race I can use it in without any trouble. I actually use the mobile stash as intended, change of clothes and armory.

Nothing like doing the thing with the stuff. I'm really hoping CDPR stays afloat and continues to fix the game. The assholes sending death threats need to grow the fuck up.

Did Chik-Fil-A get a recipe change sometime in the last 8 years? It tastes blander. And my sense of taste hasn't changed much. Granted, I reheated it, so the fries were doomed, but the nuggets lacked a tang I distinctly recall.

Used the free Caliburn to do the finale, but I won two of the other races on Hard with Claire's truck, so I think those quests are just pretty easy to do no matter.

Sadly, people sending death threats has somehow been normalized so much on the internet, that it happens in gaming and politics and I am sure in any other number of other rubrics of entertainment and public life as well. It's really fucking sad that so many people think that this is acceptable behaviour or are just that kind of bad persons to begin with.

Time and human events has ended that, but for some of my relatives, it's the only time of year we ever speak. I miss the old days, but so it goes. Though I really need to start being more proactive about it, sending out cards and such.

Nothing really unique beyond the usual festivities when circumstances allow: family & friends getting together, opening gifts, having a big special dinner, etc.

Yeah, best of luck. I'm now 13 months without even a cold, whereas normally I get one twice a year. Wearing masks and washing hands really helps with even that, it seems.

Having beat Cyberpunk, its hard to even gather my thoughts to express an opinion. This game isn't finished.

I mean, it's feature complete. Its not like MGS5 where there are supposed to be 3 acts and you only get 2. The main story is all there, it can be completed, and the main plot and main side missions are pretty good.

But the rest of the game just isn't there. There is never a point in which i feel like I am in a living breathing world like in Red Dead 2 or any Yakuza. I can never go to a bar a drink. Or Eat food at a restaurant just because I can.There is never a point where I feel like a decision I made had an impact on the world as a whole, Like The Witcher 3. I never have a moment where I see the repercussions of letting the Mages escape the town, only to doom the non-humans to extreme persecution.

Ideally your game does both, but this game did neither.

Further, I cant count how many times I said the phrase, "That...that's it?" after finishing a looooong quest-line. At some point they make a joke about 'open endings sucking'. Ok, that's fine. It's ok to make a self aware joke about storytelling.

But when

I cant tell if i was getting bugs, or if they are just not very well put together, but i had no idea what the fuck was going on. I got one of the 5ish ending permutations, and I was not very happy with it, but it is extremely annoying that the "best" ending is hidden and all comes down to picking the right dialog in ONE conversation with Johnny. And is supposedly dogshit hard, and you only get one shot, and cant save.

The 'good' ending involves working withe the dirt fucking hillbilly tribe... because they're the ones whose going to breach the biggest fucking superpower on the planet? ...Ok sure, whatever.

And the obvious right choice is the bait and switch. Because of course it is. Cant ever have a subtle story where the good ending involves siding with the people who actually have the means to solve the problem.

I keep thinking of one game while I play Cyberpunk. Mass Effect Andromeda. A game with 7 years in development, but only 1.5 years of game design. An enormous amount of potential, but released too early, and mismanaged. Killed immediately by memes, and desperately trying tor regain ground. Mass Effect Andromeda could have been great with some updates and DLC, but it essentially died on the vine.

I believe CDPR will do better, but I also need to SEE it before I really believe it.

I'll probably play this game again once they fix all the bugs and get the next gen versions out. Maybe add some features and DLC.

This game is good, and shows moments of brilliance, but its a diamond necklace that someone shoved up a dead picks ass. You get to keep the necklace, but only if you get it out of the pig, and you can only use your mouth.

I have to go to the liquor store for the third time in a week. 2 of those were for Christmas gifts, but surely this a pattern that would lead to my downfall.

Also, the great GPU scalping shortage continues. Thankfully I found a small, old site that has a connection to a commercial outfit that put me in a queue for a new card, and I should get one around the 12th, if all goes well. Whereas trying to snipe on Newegg is still overrun with bots. Victory, of a sort.
