When you think about it, the JWD Giga was the only "villain dino" that behaved like an actual animal. The poor bastard was just defending his territory, that just got invaded by a random old and murderous Ingen T.Rex. The only reason he comes out as a "bad guy" is the cut prologue, and the monstrous design lol

One of the most common things I keep seeing from the JP/JW fandom are folks saying "The Giga did nothing wrong!"

Yeah, compared to the Indominus, the Indoraptor, the Scorpius, the original raptors, and the Spino, the Giga is no more villainous than Rexy herself was in the first film. Indeed, taking the movie from his perspective, the Giga was just chilling in the Biosyn sanctuary minding his own business, then more predators get dumped in forcing him to share, but its all good, he's fine with sharing, he just has to make sure the others know he's boss because he was here first to ensure there's no chaos messing up the harmony he's set up and enjoyed for the past couple years, but then comes along this grumpy, stubborn old T-Rex that refuses to play by the rules and a hyper-aggressive, half-blind Therizin that is constantly picking fights, both determined to ruin his day, all while the dumb humans burn down his forest. Feel sorry for the guy.

On a more serious note, with the revelation that the Buck and Doe from Sorna were there too, makes me wonder if the film would have been better served by just bringing back the Spino and having it be the final boss, with the Sorna couple giving Rexy the eleventh hour back-up instead of the Therizin, and the three of them bring down the Sino as "revenge" for all the Rexes it killed during its rampage on Site B. That might have resonated more than what we got by tie-ing in Lost World and JP3 into the climax.
