The reviews and fan reception didn't paint a pretty picture, so that's not a shock in the least. Maybe one day I'll watch it out of morbid curiosity, but not for a long while; I got too many things on my backburner I need to get caught up on or are right around the corner when it comes to release.

I saw Marvel's Eternals. The big issue with this movie for me is that I found it to be utterly boring. Total snooze fest. I've never fallen asleep in a movie theater, but this film pushed me close to that point. On paper this film should be very compelling, in its characters, its themes, and narrative, but the execution is so dull and dry and unengaging. The film failed to bring up any emotional response from me in either a positive or a negative way, it just commits the sin of being totally uninteresting to the point of almost making me fall asleep. I normally like this cosmic stuff but they really sapped away my ability to care here. Even the action sequences are shot in a way that's unexciting and lusterless. Disappointing.
