Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
@Drag: I think I'm obligated to get P5: Scramble, just because I found the basic system for dungeon crawling/fighting to be a touch too primitive, and expanding on that is worth it alone. Because it oozed style for what it lacked in complexity.
Ayy, happy Valentine's Day to you all, the 12 minutes left of it we have here. Whether or not you have someone to share it with, you're loved by someone at least, you know it, and that's well better than none.

I'm slowly feeling better, it's just the last stretch of the dieases.
I think we just call it chicken soup, but I can't eat that kind of stuff because of well reasons I don't want to get into.

At that time of night I just loaded up some Jurassic World Evolution to play.
It partly took my mind off it.

Now that I'm managing to power through Challenge Mode I just can't stop with that damn game xD The Jurassic Park dlc didn't help either : P
As for how I spent Valentine's day, I've been drawing tits most of the evening... I kinda don't give a damn anymore that I'm single. I guess I really am turning into a mysantropist. Oh well...

I didn't even get to challenge mode yet.
I'm slowly working my way through base game.
Each island I have has hundreds of millions to use.
Yeah, I gotta work my way back up to drawing tits. I gotta start some sort of online presence to keep me honest. Unless I am doing stuff people can see I kinda just fall back into a "I'll do it later" or a "Well, if it's just for me I can imagine it in my head so I don't need to draw it out" kind of thing.

Did you guys not lose your sense of hunger, that gnawing feeling and the urge, when you became adults? And also the feeling of sleepiness, where you really want to go to bed, when not sleep-deprived or exhausted, did that not disappear too?

Yeah, I came across it when they did a collab with Shadiversity, and I've subscribed pretty much immediately. It's both very entertaining and very informative.

I finally watched it all the way to the end. Its no surprise that they did the end of the cell Saga better than the actual show, but I could not have asked for a better ending than
► Show Spoiler
It is literally everything I could have hoped for.
As far as the Buu saga, its not that good anyway, and I'm not convinced they wont do snippets of it during their DragonShortz show. Now that the crushing feeling of obligation is done, I'm sure they will give people a treat now and then. As far as I'm concerned, they are half the reason anyone still remembers DBZ fondly at all.

It was probably one of the best endings anything Dragonball-related ever got, no jokes. Really makes me wish they would just axe off Goku and move along with the rest of the cast in the actual canonical DB stuff, but we know that's never gonna happen. It'd be like Disney retiring Mickey Mouse... there's no chance in Heaven or Hell. Sigh.
And I would have loved to see their take on the whole Majin Vegeta bit of the Buu Saga, just because Lanipator is so damn good as 'Geets, but other than that, not a great loss. How they HELL they were gonna top their take on Cell and Frieza anyway, especially when Buu is already a random ass villain?

While it's sad to see it go, they started it when I was in college and YouTube was 360p at best. I can see how someone might get a tad burned out after all that time. Hell, I've been burned out over less. To stick to it for over a decade is nothing short of a miracle.

Huh. I thought it was normal, as you grow, you gain more control and understanding of your body, and it goes away. Same with tiredness. The conscious minds overrides the instincts, except in extreme cases, so it withers away. Apparently not!
Maybe that's why I can control my weight so well then. Unless I have food I particularly like on hand, the hassle of preparing a meal is done only as a necessity to not feel awful or die.

I mean... it's a bit of "did the egg or chicken come first?" conundrum. If the lack of appetite came first, then the tiredness can be explained by just you not taking in enough nutrients. If it's the opposite and you feel tired but you don't wanna eat... that might be a bit more worrysome. Either way, I'd bite the bullett and at the very least talk with your family doctor.

Take it from someone who's been struggling with tiredness and a general lack of energy longer than we've known each other: Go to a doctor.

As someone who was "fine" with falling asleep randomly, and later found out her has severe sleep aponea, go to the doctor.

Tested myself. Under ate by about half my daily calories yesterday, no breakfast of lunch today. Feel a little weak, as expected, but no gnawing sensation or urge to eat. Don't know if that's long enough to count, since I'm well fed normally, but eh. Suppose that's something I'll need to ask a doctor.

Are we talking hunger as the will to pursue something, or the feeling your body tells you when it NEEDS sustenance?
I think the two are linked and here's why. When I was younger I would go on backpacking trips for days at a time maybe a full week. And there where days where I worked and I hungered and on those days after I ate my body slept amazingly. It wasn't exhaustion as it was more of entering a state of rest. I had a lot of those when I was younger. As an adult I now have to adhere to a bunch of schedules and at least with my line of work, I don't necessarily work myself to a hunger. anymore. Also I don't do enough physical work to get my body to demand a state of rest. I no longer have that balance of work, creating hunger and fulfilling that need and resting. I have plenty of rest because I'm suppose to and I have an ample supply of food I don't really work for.
You do physical labor, correct? Painting houses, moving equipment, constantly moving. Perhaps it's because it's 8 hours a day and the body needs more time to get into those hunger and want of rest modes. That's my guess.

They both suffer of that at times, see Red's video about HP Lovecraft for example (not that Lovecraft wasn't a racist sociopath, but she seems REALLY annoyed by pretty much everything he made), tho of the two Blue tends to be one who falls into woke-isms more easily, yes. I'd still say the good outweights the bad by a big deal, and that they make very fun and interesting stuff, tho.

I know, I have played in the game.
From what I have heard they are just going to change the dialog a bit, so it are more in line with the original Japanese script, where they just apparently invited him for a drink (alcohol) and that's why he original freaked out as he is under age.
and before you ask I can't remember where I read that.

The difference being, Red is not a historian by vocation, but actually has a master in mathematics and still does literary summaries, trope talks, sings, plays the guitar and all the other stuff. She's pretty amazing. But she has no obligation to stay objective for what she does on the channel, so being culturally modern in her tellings is not that big of problem.
Blue, however, IS a historian, and as somebody who also has a master in socio-economic history, I can tell you that going at it from a modern perspective as your first perspective (i.e. the one you communicate as being your beliefs) is the wrong way to go if you want to maintain a professional standard. You got to take history in the context of its times. THEN you can make some modern criticisms, but always with the context of different times having different belief systems in mind. Only talking about history from a modern viewpoint is the sign of an amateur.

Not only that it's a one way ticket to distorting and misrepresenting the past. The "Woke" crowd tend to have very... questionable narratives for history.

Well, nobody should take their history solely from 20 or so minutes of Youtube, either way. Stuff like OSP or Alternate History Hub, to say another history-related channell I really enjoy, are good conversation-starters, but something that should never be your main or sole source of information on such matters. I enjoy such channells for what they are, but I'm aware they're hugely insufficent if someone wants to learn more about history or literature in a proper way.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Yeah, that's of course also correct. It just annoys me that the guy cannot keep his personal opinions out of the historical context. That's just *wrong* as a historian.

Both, really. I suppose it's like those kids who're born without the ability to feel pain, and they end up mutilating themselves because they have no signal to tell them to stop. Whereas I know I need to eat, and how much, and why I feel bad if I don't, even if there's no internal compulsion to.
Yep. Though I often skip lunch, funnily enough. Never get that signal to stop and have a meal, though intellectually, I know it'll help fuel me while I also rest my body.

I'm inclined to think that's probably the culprit. One of those fun brain chemicals not being created in sufficient quantities.
