My cat is an utter doofus. He will occasionally wake up meowing and yowling (I can only assume bad dream?) and will not go back to sleep until you pet him. I've never had another cat that does this. It's the most uncat-like thing ever.

No, I bought him as a kitten. He wasn't abused or anything. I more just meant cats in general are not so big on explicit affectionate assurance when they are afraid of something the way dogs or children are. The thing that makes a cat chill out is usually hiding somewhere.

Grocery store was half empty, and what was left was notably more pricey than my last visit. In a perverse way, there's a small pleasure to be had in seeing a tiny dent in our normal surplus. That, and I could spare a few pounds, and could stretch what I have at home for months anyway.

He was a big baby, hence my falsetto nickname for him. I've heard it said cats see us as weird, giant, mostly hairless cats, because they can't possibly categorize us as anything else. It makes sense of their behavior. I think.

Realistically, if they took TW2 and added more factions, I'd be "content," in that I'd pay for it and enjoy it for hundreds of hours. So fixing some of the glaring design problems, new shit, and even Build A Baal is like getting lemon in your ice water.

That said, the game is probably going to be broken as shit at launch, but hey.

I'm pretty sure there'll be bugs, but also that they won't be a repeat of TW: Rome 2. Well, if the game launches badly, I still got about four games queued up to go, until they fixed it. ^^

I played that one at launch, and after several failed Egypt campaigns, because I couldn't get used to the new systems or figure out how the fuck the politics pane worked, plus the bugs, I gave it up. I tried it again after the free overhaul edition, and I'm fairly sure I managed to get a land-boat glitch.

So I'm more content if TW3 doesn't hard lock too much.

Unrelated, watched the story of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, because I like anime women with large breasts and interesting fantasy settings. In a pattern of storytelling that seems very specific to Japan, it starts strong, then turns into gibberish at the end. But the gibberish sounds like it should be profound, so you still kinda enjoy it. If they make a third game, I'd be tempted to get a Switch. Which makes me consider that the last 5+ games I've played have all been from Japan, at least until TW3 drops.
