Is it, now? Because this sparked from me being disgusted by anti-semitic graffiti, and you basically going "we don't get those here, because the jews censor everyone who doesn't like them". Feels like you're not being very nuanced either.
Yeah and it's true isn't it? Not that they always succeed, but they sure as hell try. What are the ADL and the SPLC? You should look into their founding sometime for some additional insight. Can't believe racist southern good old boys would take the world of a ______ over that of a ___. Maybe if they didn't pull this shit people like me wouldn't give a shit about them? Food for thought.
I have no problem in principal with any ethnic or religious group exercising or desiring power. Everybody is entitled to pursue their own interests and are rational for doing so. However I do take issue with "protected classes". I do not support spaying graffiti on some Jewish owned business or residence anymore than I support expelling Jews and avoiding "Jewish Physics", but I'm not going to get especially up in arms about it when a lot of those same people will encourage anti-White slander and hatred and then call me paranoid or racist for objecting to it. Painting with a broad brush, yes, to a make a point about the double standard. If the Jewish community wants me to be concerned for them they have to be concerned for me and they have to tolerate criticism.
Alienmorph wrote:And to a guy crying victim because he's not allowed to talk shit about jews, no less.
Yeah, I do. If Jews are going to talk shit about everyone else then they need to live with everyone else talking shit about them. Again, I cannot tolerate the double standard. For Christs sake, recent legislation and guidelines even state that pointing out the Israel Lobby or saying Jews have political power is antisemitism. At what point will you agree this has gone too far? If someone is saying Jews should be rounded up for Holocaust II, then yeah, shut 'em down for inciting violence. However talking about the role Jews have played in our culture and history, and that they play in politics, is not grounds for de-platforming or hateful and hysterical accusations. We can talk about the good they've done, and they've done good, and we can talk about the bad they've done, and they have done bad things.

That literally makes you an anti-Semite. Sorry to inform you.

For me but not for thee, indeed.
Grand Admiral Cheesecake wrote:We do have an Israel Lobby.
How does a political "Lobby" work? Ah yes, it's all about the Benjamins. Oops, that will get you denounced by Congress.
Grand Admiral Cheesecake wrote:Some people could call that a fiendish conspiracy.
What does a conspiracy mean? It's any plan enacted in "secret" behind closed doors. I seriously doubt the conspiratorial ambitions go any further than money exchanging hands in return for political support and other favors.
TTTX wrote:As for Israel well there are some reasons, it's a safe harbor and Allie in case the USA ever gets in conflict with with one of the middel eastern countries (and lets be honest )
What reason, inherent to itself, does the US have to be so deeply involved in the Middle East? Why are we so gung-ho about taking down Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Libya? What is the American interest here? I don't care if those countries are threats to Israel. Israel is not my concern nor have they ever been a very faithful ally. Let them buy support from someone else. Considering we now have plenty of oil to export, I don't see that we need to keep occupying the Middle East. Very strange coincidence how our last 25 years of Middle Eastern policy so closely follow the outline in the Clean Break Memo. Champion by the same voices who tremble at the mere notion that Trump, or even Obama before him, might reduce or eliminate our role there.
Finally, why do we need to send Israel money? They do not need it.
TTTX wrote:Of course you can, but you probably need some evidence to go along with your claim, it's easy to discriminate China and Russia because their governments are doing bad stuff and everyone knows it and there is evidence for it (hell there is even rumor that Russia wants to invade Europe but can't because of NATO at the moment of writing).
What evidence is there of Russia wanting to invade Europe? Sounds like typical EU hysteria and BS to me. If anything the incentive is reversed. Russia doesn't have the people to invade Europe. It's acquisitions of certain Eastern European territories are in-line with its national interest of keeping NATO at bay. The EU surely wants to acquire more of Eastern Europe too, so as to increase its power on the world stage, and more importantly to reduce or someday eliminate its reliance on Russia for energy. Russia has no need to invade a customer so dependent on it.
