Ah, the Chaos stunties look so cool tho. And at long last, we've progressed from Counterstrike 1.6 to 2.0! Only took a few decades, Valve Time and all.

Finishing up Yakuza 0. Had to regrind all the way through the Coliseum to David Diabol, because Majimmy is really not well suited for him. He's unthrowable and has *nearly* all the cheesy moves disabled against him, so Kiryu's moveset works best. Learned how to use the counter moves pretty well in the grind from rank A to S to unlock David, and then promptly realized countering him would be suicide at best. Hit and run, hit and run.

Only things left to do are the last missions for Kiryu and Majima, the secret boss. Did 3 attempts on Kiryu. Not a fan of wacky Japanese humor gimmick fights, not sure how I'm even supposed to fight this clown in the second phase. Other than that, and the final missions for each, just need to finish up the Dragon and Tiger inventory lists, and I'm pretty sure that's 100%. Could do the optional collection list too, since it's already 90%+ done, but eh. Pretty sure all that's left on that is running around the city finding the 1m yen vending machines until I get the missing Pocket Circuit parts.

Probably an old topic; what are the most amount of missions you can take Legion on in ME2?

You'd have to complete Horizon and Collector ship first, so that's 4 recruits to get Horizon and I think 4 missions after to start CB. If I do no loyalty or recruit missions before CB then I should be able to do Reaper IFF immediately and take Legion to recruit the rest and do all the loyalty missions. Has anyone here done that? I'm assuming Insanity playthrough is out of the question, but it should be fun on Hardcore.

What are your thoughts?

I did once, way back in the day. You can take Legion on all the crew's loyalty missions, side quests, assignments, all the DLC, etc., but that means sacrificing the whole crew except for Chakwas; when you recruit Legion you only get up to three missions before the crew gets abducted. It's also pretty much the only way to make sure you unlock all of his dialogue tree. Legion doesn't chat about new things after just one or two missions like the rest of the squad. You need to do a ton of missions to get to the end and hear everything Legion has to say.

Aye, to say things are really dire would be an understatement of massive proportions! But there are paths of possibility to explore.

The Silent King and the forces under his command have a vested interest in making sure the galaxy doesn't fall to the 'Nids, and have allied with the Imperium before against the space bugs. Trazyn and Imotekh are both pragmatic enough that I could see them helping out, too. Time to unleash the Necron big boy toys!
The Tau and the Imperium have allied against Hive Fleet Gorgon in the past; they'd do so again against a common foe.
The Eldar of the Ynnari faction are already allied with Guilliman.
The Squats would make for good allies in this war.
The Custodes, Dark Angels, and Inquisition have some really juicy tech just gathering dust in their secret vaults that could be put to good use.
Grimdark avengers, assemble! We can't hate and distrust each other if we're all dead!

And of course the wild cards of our conflict: I imagine the fighting will get so intense the Orks will show up to have some piece of that action, and Chaos has "helped" the Blood Angels against the Tyranids in the past because they hate sharing; plus they're still salty about losing to the "Nids at Shadowbrink not once but twice.

100% Yakuza 0! Was a mixed bag, honestly. Could go for 100% achievements too, but I do not have the patience in me to grind through the Climax battles. Kiryu's secret boss was silly. No real demonstration of skill or anything, stand at mid-range, shoot with the golden pistol, dodge the laser. Second phase, run away until the invincibility potion drops, then go grab it. Majima's was slightly better, though getting good at the Mad Dog counter made it sorta trivial. Great game tho, the writing and (some) cinematics were better than AAA stuff now.

Also had another truly odd coincidence. I was chatting with a friend, making fun of pretentious hipster cuisine. Every ingredient has a fancy adjective, I've never heard of any of them, and it's all sat atop sauce smeared on a plate and sprinkled with crap. We agreed that prole-chow, beer and pizza and kebabs and such, were obviously superior, I go back to the art account on Twitter I had been reading. The literal next tweet from where I was, it was a quote of a priest specifically denouncing judging people for their food and drink choices. Spooky!

I think you're correct, it's going to have to be alien factions deadlifting the Imperium. Even Custodes and their DAOT tech is only so useful, it can save a battle, or a planet, but not a star system. It'd make for a much more compelling edition-long campaign too, everyone gets to prove themselves against beefed up Tyranids, who in turn get to gobble up a ton before they're stalled out into some new stalemate.

One of my favorite bits from a 40k novel is in...I think it's called Warriors of Ultramar or something, where Uriel Ventris is defending a planet against Tyranids. Death Korps of Krieg are the main IG force with them, and there's actually a named officer, who has a personality even, and ends up taking command of the last defense. He dies in the final battle, and his men are entirely nonplussed, because he died on his feet, fighting, as all men of Krieg should. Proper use of Tyranids, everyone gets to look good, and nobody really loses.
