I haven't followed the comics since they permanently fucked up the X-Men by turning them into a xenophobic crazed sex cult, so I kinda don't really care. But this will probably end within two or three years, probably with another big crossover X-Men vs Avengers fight. Kinda strange that Destiny is there, given that in the early part of that execrable X-Men run it was a mantra that no precogs could be ressurected, with the implication that they'd immediately see through the bullshit Moira and that abominable version of Professor X were pulling and would bring the whole thing crashing down. Ah, well. As I said, they fucked over the X-Men in a way which they'll never be able to restore back to factory settings, anyway.

Absolutely, I agree. It's more just morbid curiosity on my part, watching from a far off distance as I shake my head. X-Men have been fucked into the ground with this Krakoa storyline as far as I'm concerned. Going full "crypto-fascist, xenophobic, war-crimes committing, creepy sex cult, isolationist/supremacists" is a betrayal of the X-Men I grew up with. It's kinda disturbing to see so many people think this direction is a positive thing in my humble opinion.
Mystique somehow forced them at proverbial gunpoint to bring back Destiny if I remember right.
Moira's not even with them anymore; she's against them now if I got my facts straight. I think her ultimate endgame is to de-power all current and future mutants forever.
Bah, trying to keep this storyline straight is a waste of time. The whole thing is a shitshow.

Yeah, I can't even muster morbid curiousity anymore, since they also fucked up Kitty Pryde, my favorite Marvel character, beyond recognition (she calls herself Kate now, has gang tattoos and is besties with Emma Frost.... hurrrrrkkkk :evil:

). But the thing that really gets me is that even if Marvel at some point realizes their colossal fuck-up, it's irreversible without basically doing another complete restart of the Marvel universe. First off, it has been made very clear that this is the mainstream continuity, not an alternate timeline. The X-Men, as they are, are fully integrated into the storytelling of all the other comic lines. This may still be reversible in some outlandish manner, but secondly and more importantly, by the very beginning of the Krakoa storyline it has been made 110% clear that the MCU humanity will never, ever, be able to just peacefully co-exist with mutants. They have to be forced to do so and the solution with exiling themselves to Krakoa and having gigantic blackmail material on all of humanity is how the mutants try to do it now.

This kills the foundation of the X-Men mission. "To peacefully co-exist with humanity" has been the mantra since issue one of the X-Men line and it was the baseline forever and should have stayed so. And now it's dead and I hate, hate, hate the new mutant supremacist outlook the editors and writers at Marvel have forced upon us. I wonder if they even are intelligent enough to see the corner they've written themselves into.

Well, that didn't take long. Coming back from the dead and turning into a mutant in less than a month. That's gotta be a record. She's part of the X-Men now. So, are the rest of the X-Men gonna try to force her to abandon her friends and family like they did with Franklin and force her to live on their creepy sex cult/crypto-fascist/xenophobic-isolationist-supremacist island?
