The paid online thing really bothers. Like I honestly can't picture Nintendo online features worth paying for.
Besides that, everything looks well so far.
1, 2 Snap and that punching game looks decent but not looking forward to them.
Splatoon 2 looks cool and the Mario game looked fantastic.
Edit: Skyrim on the go confirmed lol
Edit2: I was expected a little more but I guess it's over already.
And of course the pro controller isn't bundled with the console. -____-

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
So Final thoughts.
Not impressed Nintendo, nor interested. I don't have high hopes for the Switch. No plans to buy one. Call me when you're ready to make a proper Metroid, then we can talk.
Though I admit Mario Odyssey does look really fun.
////
Zelda: Breath of the Wold looks awesome, but I'm getting it for my WiiU. Not buying a new console just for one game.
Oh shit, Gerudos are back! Yes! Finally!
March 3 release date. Soon.

7/10 Nintendo. And 4 of those points are from Mario and Zelda.
While I still have faith in the console itself, and the concept, i think that their presentation today is going to do almost nothing to get people excited.
Tomorrow will be another event, they are going to show off more games then. So perhaps this one was just to get the slavering idiot business-people placated, and actual games come tomorrow.

Not if its canceled you're not.
No way thats coming out for the WiiU at launch, and i think there's a significant chance that it doesn't come to the WiiU at all.

That does look like a lot of fun. Buying a Switch levels of fun? I doubt that.

Sure, if that was the case, but I don't see that happening. If they were going to, they would have announced that already, to minimize damage from backlash and to avoid any controversy or betrayed fan expectations near release. Nintendo actually cares about LoZ, unlike Metroid. There's zero evidence as of now that its going to be cancelled for the WiiU, unless your aware of something I'm not.
If you recall, they did the exact same thing for Twilight Princess: they made a Gamecube and a Wii version. And if it doesn't come out in March for that WiiU, no no big whoop. If they need a few more months to polish, so be it.
If I'm wrong, I'll be first in line to say your fears were justified.

Fears?
I think they would be fools to release that game on the WiiU.
Zelda as a launch title will be the only thing that pushes Switch sales until a significant amount of new games come out. Releasing the game on the WiiU, which will be selling for the price of dirt in a few months, would absolutely kill their heavy hitter right out of the gate.

Playing Doom with the classic view (guns are centered instead of viewed from the side) made it a bit more fun than I'd imagined.

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
So Mario, Zelda, some Splatoon and basically a "look at all the 3rd party games we have!"
Pretty much what I expected.
I'm not mad, but yeah... I'm rather lukewarm about it... it was all about the gimmick, and much less so about the games, who are also just more of the same.
Ehh... I'll keep an eye on things, but for now I'm holding back...

Nintendo is going to do payed online, similar to XBox Live and PS+. Each month youll get free games.
Thats awesome!
...Until you learn that you only get to keep those free games for a month....
WHY ARE YOU SO BAD AT THIS NINTENDO? HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOU POSSIBLY BLOW IT?!

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
So, for a practical lesson, let's say you want to paint cabinets.
1) Sketch out the area. Not bird's eye view, head on, and include landmarks (stoves, hoods, washing machines) to make it explicitly clear what goes where, and obviously keep it simple (boxes) so you don't get confused. Then, one by one, assign a number to every single door, drawer, or other removable piece of the cabinets.
2) Physically remove the cabinets. I do so in order via the sketch since it's simpler to keep track. Then, take a piece of painter's tape, affix to the hinges, but _not_ over the remaining screws, and write the correct number on it, as well as an indicator of where it belongs on the cabinet (Upper, Middle, Lower is what I use).
3) Then, finish removing the hinges, with the tape and writing still affixed, and set them aside along with all the screws and finger-severing spring mechanisms. Then rewrite those numbers and positions _in_ the space where the hinges previously were covering on the door. If you're spraying them, make sure to cover it up with tape too.
4) At this point, all the doors/drawers are off, their hinges are clearly labeled, and where they go is written on both doors/drawers and hinges.
5) Set up an elevated space to work, anything off the ground. If the cabinets are greasy or otherwise dirty, clean that shit off thoroughly. Then with a high-grain sanding block, lightly sand the surface, then dust it off.
6) Prime it. I recommend Stix, as it seems to actually stick. Let dry, if bleedthrough occurs, apply a shellac based stainkiller to the stains until it stops. Give a good 24 hours between coats if possible. Topcoat, let dry a day or two.
7) Flip the drawers/doors over, repeat steps 5-6 until they're finished as well.
8) Put all that shit back together and pray none of your labeling got messed up.

I'm gonna guess people are complain alot about that, and that it could change rather quickly. It's a bad idea no doubt, but the consumers nowadays can make enough noise that it's the kind of bad ideas that doesn't last long.

Exactly. If consumers outcry basically forced Microsoft to redesign half of what they were going with the Xbone, we can get rid of a poor online service.

Its like, haunting.

If it doesn't (which I'm pretty sure it won't) I really fucking hope it's just those games, special discounts, and other small promo stuff is all that is included.
I'm not fucking interested in renting two fucking games a month. I barely care about the other subscription based games because you lose them when your subscription ends.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
The idea of renting the game is hilarious, what goes through their heads?
"Hey guys our last console failed so lets take some ideas from successful ones"
"Okay how about the monthly free games?"
"Sure but lets not actually give them the game, that'll look good right?"
I really don't understand Nintendo, they're fucking crazy.

No kidding. They are also always behind their compentition when it comes to things like online. Another reason why I got extremely worried when they announced the idea of an online sub.
Also here are the prices of some of the accessories. Better take good care of those controllers
Nintendo Switch Pro Controller – $69.99
Joy-Con Controllers (L & R Bundle) – $79.99
Joy-Con L / Joy-Con R (Individual) – $49.99
Joy-Con Charging Grip – $29.99
Nintendo Switch Dock Set – $89.99
Joy-Con Wheel (Set of 2) – $14.99
Not sure what they mean by joy-con wheel.

Know what that reminds me of? Tidus and Yuna having their romance scene in FFX.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0

[GERUDO VALLEY MUSIC INTENSIFIES]
I hope they explore what the surviving Gerudo think of Ganondorf, and he them. Even after he transcended mortality and humanity by becoming the Demon King, even at his most evil, he's always taken pride in his Gerudo heritage, and in the WW timeline deeply lamented their extinction and his role in that. But the Gerudo people are likely to see him as a dark stain in their history: a dishonorable mad tyrant who lead them to near ruin and poisoned their reputation forever.
My current theory is that 'Calamity Ganon" is the physical embodiment of Ganondorf's demonic power & nature, and Ganondorf has been separated from it somehow. The Demon King split into his two natures: the mortal and the immortal. Meaning he's actually free of the reincarnating curse cast by Demise all those eons ago. This could be his real chance at redemption and choose his own destiny by walking away from this dark legacy and break the cycle once and for all--or he could embrace it again, his hunger for power and greed for Hyrule drawing him back into darkness.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
So it seems right out of the gate, and the Nintendo Switch is already dancing with two left feet. I want to say I am surprised, but I'm not. If it is any consolation to Wii U owners, Breath of the Wild actually runs and looks better on the Wii U than it does on the Switch!

Angry Joe said he's gonna sue Nintendo if they claim his Legend of Zelda review.
Like I would hope that he could win that case......
but that ain't happening.
Also, Not too interested in that legend of Zelda SE but I do love that case. I saw them show all that stuff off at the treehouse event and thought it was really nice. Hopefully, they sell cases like that as an accessory. Liked how many games you could store in it.

Well, he's too dumb to comprehend the plainly written rules, anyway. While it's a dick move, Nintendo is within full right to deny the usage of their property.
Also, this Zelda game must be the first open world game that I've seen in years where it makes sense for it to be an open world game instead of a tacked on fad.

to be fair it's the Japanese branch of Nintendo who keeps copyrighting him, the US Nintendo division are according to him totally fine with him using some materiel to review and such.

This is my fourth attempt. I can't get my computer or phone to work right up here.
It's my birthday today.
Was going to Yosemite but the road has flooded over. I'll come up with something.
My birthday request is to find me some Tali on D.Va action. If none exits I'll gladly pay an artist for some. Also some Rin Tohsaka cosplaying as D. Va. I'll pay for that as well. $$$
Don't know when I'll get my laptop to work again, so I'll be back in a couple days. You guys and gal enjoy your weekend.
