Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
Yeah... there are a few characters I can think of that almost fit that description. But the "no fapping!" part is really damn hard to committ to lol
When it comes to fictional characters, I basically have a "3 tiers" system (because I'm that organized dammit! xD): Tier 1 are characters I just consider good for spank material, or that I don't know or care about. Tier 2 are characters I genuinely like alot in all aspects, but I can't help to find hot as hell and that I will gladly depict in all kind of kinky shit. Tier 3 are "the waifus", aka the ones I have a particularly soft spot for. But even those can spring the occasional boner most of the times.
... and I probably put more thought into this than I should lol

I know, xD, but actually there's a bit of a reason. Since I often draw smut for people on the Internet I had to come up with a "system" to determine if I would want or not to take a job. Because you usually want to avoid having to draw stuff like a 15 parter torture porn sequence involving a character you're really fond of. Kinda kills your will to do ANYTHING and as such is pretty bad for business.

On other news, I've got me a new camera (thanks eBay) that works significantly better than the old one. So here's a couple shots of my newly painted filthy xeno:

Paint-job is not based on any of the canonical Tyranid Hive-fleets. I originally planned to do an Alien-inspired color scheme for my 'Nids, but the fact is that the aliens are very very mono-chormatic, you basically have one dominant color for the body, and one for the head dome thingie. So I ended up with this custom colors. I've already got a set or regular-sized Genestealer and another big Tyranid, think an Hive Guard. But it might be awhile before I get to paint those.

The masterclass I'm going to tomorrow is allowing people to submit pieces for review that they will then play and get critiqued by the composers for improvement. I submitted this little piece I wrote for my Paragon teasers and I hope it gets picked.

Ehe. Might do some Astartes too eventually, but it'll depend by how Dawn of War III turns out to be, 'cuz I'd like them to be Blood Ravens. So I'm waiting to see if my record for "sci-fi series I'm a fan of gettin butchered at number 3 or 4" gets finally broken :p

@Alien: And you said you were rusty. Looks great, man. Really dig the color scheme, can picture it as being tailored for an industrial park on a hive world or something.
@Sci: I'm getting strong sci-fi western vibes from that, so if that's your goal, good job!
@Drag: Ah, glad Conan made it. If it looks good at launch proper, I definitely want to buy it. Might do it anyway, actually. Is it janky in EA?
@Fallout: Congrats! First one's the hardest.

Torment story trailer:
I've paid very little attention to the dev process despite being a backer, but I am entirely down with that story premise. Awesome.

URGH.
Bloody headsets.
Why do the wires ALWAYS twist until the fucking things break no matter what I do?
Great, gotta send this one off to be repaired, just glad it's under warranty still.
And I thought Sennheiser was good.

Everyone says how easy it is to do, but every time I've looked into it, it all just goes over my head.
Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
My paternal grandmother, the one I live with, turned 83 today. Darkly funny, she's actually in the best health out of all the female relatives on this side of the family right now. One daughter has busted heels, another just had both knees replaced, the last just had her second hip replaced. Ah, life is too short.
Finished the Beastman mini-campaign in Total Warhammer. Was fun. Once you figure out the playstyle and access the high tier units, it's basically over. The game over-weighs artillery pieces, so the AI builds a ton of them at the endgame, but the playstyle of the campaign is about ambushing, which literally nullifies their use. So it was a sweep if you can make it that far.

I mindlessly did one of those online personality tests, just for kicks. The options weren't fleshed out enough to give a good answer on them though.
As in, on a 5 point scale, "You find it difficult to introduce yourself to people."
Well fuck, man, that's conflating multiple issues. Are you asking about the social mechanics, the eye contact, hand shake, introduction? Because that's simple. Are you asking about the act of doing it, i.e., confident in executing the mechanics? Or is it willingness to do it to begin with? _Clarity_!
Anyway it said I was INTP, which when I looked it up, was a bit of an eye-opener.
Edit: Not that I think it's necessarily correct or possible to cram a person into one of 16 predefined archetypes, but still.

Nice trailer. The game has it's appeals but I wasn't completely sold on the gameplay itself by the demo, so I'll wait for reviews.

That whole paragraph screams INTP. I know because, well...let's just say that boat were in, it's a small one.

I realized that as I was writing it, but hey. Overthinking shit to a pedantic extreme is literally a major part of who I am, hence the need for constant distraction.
Is it a comfy boat?

Re: Tali'Thread vas Clan Zorah nar BSN 6.0
I'm so upset right now.
I thought this dumb overwatch event was ended today so bought everything I didn't get with credits. This includes a bunch of rare items and D.va's hanbok outfit. Then I figure out that weekly arcade boxes reset and that the event is still active. Got the boxes and guess what I got from my last fucking box -____-
Like seriously, why isn't there a timer on when the event will end again because it makes no sense. Summer games ended the day of and a few hours before it was supposed to. Christmas event lasted almost two while days longer than it was supposed to for some reason. Shit is just a mess.

It be Valentine's Day. If you have a special someone in your life, go do something fun/romantic with them. If single, go see John Wick 2.

Heh, nah I'mma avoid the crowd of guys dragged along to see the 2nd 50 shades of grey movie.
I can't stand to see them in such pain.
Plus I don't have the cash for cinema at the moment.
I'm just gonna do what I usually do on V-day. Try not to think about it.

The misconception being that it's wrong to view it as you being compressed into one of sixteen categories. That personality test doesn't tell you who you are, it just tells you, in general terms, how your mind processes information and interacts with the world. Do you do so with emotion or analysis? Are you introverted or extroverted. The sixteen personality types are generalizations based on patterns that have been observed in people with those types that are fairly consistent.
It's less of an end all be all set of predefined rules and more like a general set of guidelines that can help you better understand certain aspects of why you do things the way you might be predisposed to doing them.
For instance, I've always needed a lot of solitude after even minor social interactions. People with my type tend to do that because we often emotionally plug into everything around us and we get easily overwhelmed by it, and when we take in new information we need time to contemplate the deeper meaning behind stuff. Not a hard rule, but I do it, and for me it was interesting learning maybe why I did that.

Knowing that about yourself is a blessing.
Hardest part I have to personally deal with (being INTP) is the "Paralysis by Analysis" aspect of me. I was told that I'd suffer from that by my Dad when I was a kid, but he never offered me a solution and as an adult one is still hard to come by.
It's not enough to do something and learn from it, but what do I actually learn from the action I took? Did I learn the wrong lesson? Is the correct lesson really a wrong lesson in disguise? And do I even understand what learning is so I can learn from my mistakes? If the lesson is in front of me am I able to look at it and understand it as the lesson to learn, as opposed to something that will take my thoughts on a tangent? For me every action has a sphere of infinite directions surrounding it. Some of those directions are the best directions, the other are wrong directions, but most of those are mostly wrong directions and there are also somewhat right, almost right, mostly right, sort of correct, absolutely correct and close but no cigar directions. All of them part of the human experience. So when something is shown to me as being over simplified, (like for instance the phrase "Just go out and meet a girl") I'm completely paralyzed in my thoughts of how complicated that simple act really is, because for me nothing is ever as simple as it sounds.
