Ok so uBlock Origin is a MUCH better adblocker than Ad Block Plus, pretty much immediately.

Now ive been using it for a total of, like, 10 minutes, so its possible it will fuck up royally, but so far its blocked all the stuff that adblock refused to.

Got a generous tip off the last client, so I bumped up to the physical copy edition, because I'm a huge nerd and like having hard copies of media. Digital is nice, but much like reading a book vs reading a screen, my personal opinion is a universal truth.

I can agree there but that's not the point. The point is that I've seen alot of cheapo Chief armors in costume shops... you could buy one of those, buff it up properly and turn into a decently-looking Doom Guy armor.

I was thinking that, actually. Can't find those plans either, and my creativity skills are negligible.

I could make a form, melt some steel, and cast myself some real chest and back armor. The helmet will require an Airsoft helmet and some plastic.

The Actual Game: Cortanna is back but she's fucking evil and out to take over the galaxy with Reaper-like machines and thinks John will love her and understand what she’s trying to do if she kidnaps him. And the Arbiter is barely in it.

That was one of the few 343 did right with the campaign, Thel actually got quite a bit of screentime, and he fights alongside you more than once. Thel took no prisoners, even on Legendary, and watching him cut down wave after wave of foes was a definite highlight.

Edit: Wow, how timely. At the DICE Summit today, they talked a bit about Halo. Apparently, future titles will put Chief in the forefront again with side characters no longer mugging for spotlight. Split-screen will return and remain a feature. Expanded Universe material will no longer interfere with the story of the actual game.

You know, just about everything that went wrong with Halo 5.

Yea, I just tried it on the Atlantic website which recently put one of those up and it just murdered their anti-ad-blocker, so yea, I'm switching as well.

Certain motherboards (the two that we have right now both do) will support the old am3 air coolers natively without an adapter bracket. Unfortunately, AMD appears to have skimped out on the onboard memory controller software and if you are using more than two sticks you'll be limited to 2400mhz ddr4 and the system won't post with anything faster. The 1800x actually has a decent amount of core overclocking headroom with a decent cooler. There is a contest going about our store for an AMD dream build, and our rep is putting a triple 120 rad and a double 120 rad in series for an 1800x and a strix 1070. Looks pretty good, and a comparable system from intel would easily cost $600 more.

Edit: Oh yeah, and preorders are sold out. Like....completely. We sold more 1700/1700x/1800x preorders than we did total AMD processors the previous two months.

I'm hearing it's specific to older mobos, that newer ones can handle > 2 sticks fine. I'm not a hardware guy though, so grain of salt.

Huh. My current processor is only $50 less than the Ryzen 7 1700X. I'm not seeing bottlenecking there just yet though, a GPU upgrade would come first. GTX 1070/80 depending on if I can find a good deal, or if they have a ME4 promo at some point, maybe.

The 1080ti seems like real overkill for me, since most games these days can easily be topped with a simple 1080. If it ever drops down to the price of an 1080, I might consider it. I doubt that, though. When a graphics card costs more than the entire build (hello, Titan X), I'm probably not going to buy it, if only because of the fear that if/when it breaks, it's not going to be fun to replace.

Been playing the ghost recon wild lands beta. I wasn't looking forward to it at all but the beta is kinda good. A lot of the game mechanics like combat, stealth, and etc are pretty good. Although those all those are pretty damn positive. The only downside is that the missions are pretty damn shallow and generic. Side missions are basic ass delivery and kill/interrogate missions. The main missions weren't too different. Will try to play more to see if they get any better but for now, I suppose I'll look into reviews. Which I wasn't even gonna bother to do beforehand.

....actually now that I think about it. The driving is kinda ass but it's not awful I suppose.

I've been playing it too. I don't really have much good to say about. It feels like a less immersive The Division. The stealth and driving felt bad and the missions were all the same. It's quite disappointing how little tactics you require as it felt that was the draw coming from the marketing. I don't see many people playing for more than a month.
