So I got LoZ: Breath of the Wild for the WiiU.

Its pretty amazing. Having a blast. The environments are so lush and expansive and colorful. There's so much to see and do and explore that its almost a little overwhelming at first. I haven't even sunk my teeth into the story yet; just running around is loads of fun.

So apparently, you can scratch up your switch by simply taking it on and off the dock. That thing really should of came with a damn screen protector.

Saw a thing on reddit that apparently the adhesive in vinyl skins pocks the Switch's surface pretty badly as do adhesives generally. So, might want to consider that if you planned on putting something along those lines on. https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch ... do_switch/

I watched a stream of the beginning. It's more Japanese than ever, but damn it looks good. But if it comes down to dropping $500 on a console and game or $500 on a video card, gotta go with the economical choice.

I haven't played a Zelda game in more than a decade, but the newest one looks really good. Not "buy a console so I can play that one game" good, but still good. I guess I'll just watch the Game Grumps play through it or something.

Also, all this talk about Mass Effect and the trilogy have made me watch plenty of videos of it and...it really stirs up a hurricane of emotions, both good and bad and I'm not really sure how to deal with it. Sure, I could replay the trilogy, but then I'll run the risk of diving down that rabbit hole I went down when I first played ME2 (full on winter and unemployment will do that) and reigniting the depression I'm still dealing with today. At the same time, it felt so good to have at least something to be happy and excited about. That's also the Catch 22, since it could also make me think about things that I don't have and crave for more to at least serve as a distraction. Not a goal, but just something to make me forget for a while.

What's really annoying is that I have no control over these emotions. Something as simple as looking outside a window can make me feel...I don't know how to describe it. A desperate want for happy moments to escape the mundane, stagnant and emotionally gray reality I live in? It also goes away just as fast as it came, but it makes me pretty much stop doing anything for a couple of hours at a time to either try to escape it or embrace it. Something as silly as hearing the soundtrack of Mass Effect can make me come to a screeching halt.

This is not entirely the games' fault. They just remind me of the past and how I used to feel. Yes, I am getting help for this, but it's tough, since even I can't really pin down the problem.

I'm sorry if you guys don't want to hear about it. I just find it a bit cathartic to write it down like this. I'll stop if it becomes bothersome.

I ran into a game-breaking bug that makes it so that it gets stuck at 95% when loading a specific level. Forgot its name, but everything else worked just fine.

I mean maybe it's because Wolfenstein the New Order was still kinda fresh in my mind is the reason I got bored of nuDOOM kinda quickly. I had my old style of gameplay kick satisfied enough.
