Look at it this way. If this isn't part of some death spiral (and I don't think it is) we may potentially get 3 Bioware teams (4 if you count Austin) to make RPGs of this style.

considering the development hell they have been put through just during just the development of DA2 and ME3, I can see why they want to do other things.

All that's left is Citadel, then Cerberus Base. Should finish tomorrow after work.

Now when you and Tali have sexy time before hitting TIM's base, the Husk Head will be watching you two. ALWAYS WATCHING. HUSK HEAD SEES EVERYTHING. HUSK HEAD SEES ALL.

I'm in a Mass-Effect mood, so I think I’m gonna take a brief break from Zelda: Breath of the Wild, dust off my copy of ME2, do a playthrough of that, and then maybe do ME3’s Citadel DLC again to cap things off.

Just finished the Citadel party. Went Rowdy->Rowdy, does going the other way produce different conversations? Tali was adorable, especially when she poisoned herself with cheese, and her morning woes. Need to have a visit from each squaddie a can, then it's off to finish this.

2.5 hours to go!

I caved and bought it, and I'm actually feeling kind of excited to play more Mass Effect, even if it the overall quality is mediocre.

Okay, I think I've seen a pretty substantial amount of MP footage by now. I got one question:

What is up with the death animations of the Kett? It seems that when they die, they make a really unnatural looking dramatic leap off their feet.

They're being paid by the ham.

The hammier they are the more space bucks they get.

Finished ME3 one hour past unlock. Not bad. The EC, all the DLC, it really did make it less of a soul-rending mistake.

"Synthesis is the ultimate evolution of life."
"Hey thanks buddy, I'm gonna go ahead and _beeline_ to the right and pick Destroy." Didn't hesitate for a second. Ending was better. Max EMS Destroy + male Shep + Tali romance + all squaddies alive and accounted for, make it canon, Numbah 1.

I have more thoughts, but it's 1:15 AM and I really want to get ME4 started.

If it had been anyone else than BioWare and their resources, I'd guess that it's because they don't want to overload their servers.

Playing it is a no-no, but I can download and install patches onto my copy just fine.

Ha. I just got to Noveria and Anoleis called me a vagabond for being a spacer. I naturally made an angry comment about it. Tali wasn't happy with that remark either. I also found it funny that she considered using me as a meat shield at the security checkpoint.

Really bad, you choose a preset face, and you can change the colour or your hair/eyes. Skin colour can be changed but not that extremely. You can't move many of the facial features much, or change the eye/nose/mouth/ears overall shape.

I went with default Scott, other than the pube beard, he's fine. Then I made Sara the preset 7, the good looking black chick, because that's how I roll. A lot of the other lady faces were not pleasant to look at.

I got the Art of Mass Effect Andromeda at my local book store today.

They had really awesome alien concept designs that are leagues better than the final product for the Kett and Angara. They had some great creativity going, and they tossed it aside. Shame.

They certainly know how to come up with with interesting looking worlds, ships, tech, and architecture. You can definitely see some Halo 4 influence here and there.

How so? I tried saving my game last night (On the Xbox it's the top section of the menu) and it didn't seem right. I looked at my load scream and saw a bunch of auto saves, but not the one I made. Is this what you mean?

I think that's what I experienced. I just found Cora and finished a wave of badies when I stopped. I died 10 times trying to get to that point. Hopefully that's an issue that's being worked on.

There are, but they're not very liberal if you're just exploring, so manual save often.

I'd imagine that it's a bit difficult for the game to determine when and where there is a good spot to auto-save because of the unpredictable nature of exploring. Don't want to save when you're in the middle of a fight or just about to die from an explosion and have you caught in a death loop, like in Halo.

That said, I'd reckon that a save function with a set time interval and made so that it doesn't save during battle would work.

I just finished Legend of Zelda breath of the Wild.

A game that had autosaves so perfect it was almost poetry.

If you cant match that, then you better let me manual save whenever and wherever the hell i want.

The only issue I'm having so far and it's probably not that bad of an issue, but the font size is just too small for me. I found myself standing up and walking to my TV to read any prompts or hints a whole lot.
