It's weird how I've been told I have anxiety, over and over, since I was a teen, yet it takes until I'm fully grown before it starts fucking with me. Alas.

Yeah I know, I have been dealing with social anxiety (with a depression to boot) close to 8 years now.

All I can say is, it's going to be hard these first few years eventually you should be able to control it and it'll be a minor thing to deal with (my grandmother tells me you will always have it, but eventually it'll be like one of those on the tip on your tongues kind of feelings.), however if you feel like it gets worse or something I would recommend professional help.

@TX: I've been off and on a bunch of different medicines, the only thing that ever made feel good was Klonopin, and that's a benzo, so it's not a long term treatment. It's really a nasty choice between feeling shitty all the time, but emotionally numb, or feeling somewhat shitty, but with drastic swings. Alas.

Finished reading the Starcraft novel Evolution and the Alien vs Predator Rage Trilogy.

Evolution takes place a year after Starcraft 2 ended. Only Artanis knows the truth of what happened to Kerrigan and Raynor, and he's not talking about it. The Zerg, led by Zagara, are friendly and to show their sincere desire for peaceful coexistence with Terrans and the Protoss they're offering to use leftover Xel'Naga tech to heal and restore dead worlds ruined in the various wars. But Abathur thinks this peace is ruining the Zerg's quest for perfection and plots behind the scenes.

And in the AVP universe, Weyland-Yutani are starting to build mass relays now. And the galaxy was once dominated by the "Drukathi" before they left for another one, but not without leaving behind vaults and artificial planetoids filled with their tech that can influence and indoctrinate people so even gone their will can still be done. The Predators have a long and bloody history with the Drukathi, the only species that terrifies them. Some human scientists, tired of being under Weyland-Yutani's thumb, head out into deep space in ark ships to start new lives for themselves, but stumble upon a Drukathi vault, and become corrupted. And they use Xenomorphs as shock troops to take control of human space. How do they control and enhance the Xenomorphs? With NANOMACHINES, SON! This Drukathi influenced attack force scares both the Predators and Weyland-Yutani into forming an alliance. Also, Predators apparently smell of cooked meat and cinnamon, and make Pilgrimages to their homeworld at least once in their lifetimes.

Evolution is also a part of self-preservation. Going to war against other species that can easily kill billions of your own kind seems counterproductive to me. Unless someone invokes ye olde "strong flourish, weak perish" mindset, in which case I guess everything's fair game.

Pretty much. Abathur is basically bred with that kind of thinking. He has Kerrigann discard entire Zerg subspecies they deem "not useful" after all.

If the Zerg are at peace there are fewer occasions for stress-testing the Swarm, and therefore to find new and unique genetic traits to incorporate in the species.

That is very interesting. I've always been baffled by the fact that the dinosaurs with the more bird-like bone structure were classified as the ones with the least in common with the group who directly evolved into birds. I'm sure people like tRey the Explainer and nother more informed paleo-folks will look more into this and explain it abit better than I can get it on my own. But I can see it making sense, for sure.

This is also one of the reasons I like paleontology... you may never know what new theory or discovery might be waiting right behind the corner and shatter the current scientific status quo. It never gets boring.

Not sure if anyone will be able to help me but here goes. I bought an RX480 and I'm attempting to replace it with my 7950, but for the life of me I cannot find what ever is mounting it to the case.



I'm assuming the black latch with the arrow is covering the actual screwhole but I can't seem to remove the latch or do anything but push it back slightly. There's also a small rod/latch that I circled that I believe is locking them in place but I can't seem to find anything about it in the manuals for the HAF 932 advanced, not that it wants to move though seemingly.

Pretty stuck to be honest, been rooting around for about two and half hours looking for whatever it is.

I'd recognize a HAF 932 anywhere. I've still got my old one hidden away somewhere. Love that case.

There is screwholes, but in the HAF 932, it's designed for a screwless quick-release for easy removal of GPUs. Press the latch (the thing your arrow is pointing at) "down" towards the motherboard and it should fold up, releasing the GPU from the case. It's hard to describe without pictures.



See those curved latches things? Push the top of them down, towards the motherboard. They should "snap" down, allowing it to rotate through the metal wall of the case, releasing the GPU.

I've had some issues with it where it feels like it doesn't want to move. I've actually broken one of the latches on mine forcing it. But it should work.

Edit: If you're still having trouble, there might be a way to remove the quick-connect entirely, though that may be difficult with all the components still in it.
