Don't try to become a teacher ever and you are a perfectly normal kid so stop thinking you suck.

Don't play ME3 when it comes out.

14? So I would've been 1 year into living in SC...

1) Never listen to or go along with our mother
2) Don't let Tommy outside
3) The divorce will happen sooner or later, try your damnedest to get our father to read the contract
4) Start lifting weights, you're going to be a very late bloomer, but quite tall, and you'll need to fill out the frame
5) Drop sugar
6) When the Mass Effect series starts appearing, get involved on the Bioware forums, look for the Tali threads
7) All your decisions are incredibly wrong, do the opposite, especially when it comes to adulthood and friendships
8) The beard comes in much later, don't worry
9) You're not smarter than everyone else, rather, your brain thinks in a different way that _seems_ like intelligence
10) For the love of God, do your senior year properly, and in college, do it right or I'll come back here and kick your ass
11) Your every instinct is going to be to become a hermit, and that's fine, but you need to make concessions _now_, while you have time, to make that feasible later

To be fair you didn't make a move on Raga until J4n3 and I encouraged you two to talk.

Everything is interconnected, so change one little thing and everything changes.

Not so simple as all that, but this really isn't the time/thread/place to rehash this stuff.

I could never trade in a single game I've ever owned. It always seemed so arcane to me. Why give up something you have that you might want to play again later for less than what it's wroth?

Because I didn't have money and I wanted a lot of new games. Sometimes I traded in used games I got cheap for other used games. Also, I was young and stupid, as I often regretted the trade a week later. Like with Metroid Prime or Wind Waker.

Study harder
Get better organized
Get a summer job of some kind
Sit down and really think about your plans for the future; figure out what exactly you want to do and what you need to make it a reality

I'd also tell my younger self that it is much better to just walk away from a video game when it makes you angry. Less scars that way. Especially when it's summer and it feels like you're sitting in a sauna because the fuckhead who built the house didn't believe in ventilation.

1) If you want to do something, then do it!

2) If you don't understand, or know, something just simply ask.

3) Don't stress on popularity. Stand on your own merits.

4) Your current friends will leave you. Don't take it personally, they have to live their own lives. Friends will stay but life might drift you apart. Memories will stay, but don't dwell.

5) Your first job will suck. Your second job will suck. Jobs will most likely suck. But they're better than unemployment and they'll make you worth something.

[Gonna paraphrase this one a bit from you Sci because even now I need that advice. :D "6) You're going to have a very hard time getting girls to like you. Focus on finding where your confidence stems from and build upon it to put a smile on your face."]

6) Tell her you think you love her. She'll understand, or she wont. If she is worth it she'll be kind no matter what. Do not waste your time overthinking and end up never trying anything again.

7) Don't become lazy. Keep working at things. The bullies got the upper hand on genetics and luck. You're going to work and make yourself better, at anything.

8) You're your own worst critic. Try not to stay inside your own head as much. Open up more.

9) Don't get fat, exercise. You are going to become dense like your uncle, make sure it's muscle.

10) get out of your shell and go out.

Don't listen to anyone who tells you it gets better, it doesn't.

Don't bottle up your anger, inflict it on the people who make you suffer while you're still too young to go to prison for it.

Don't work so hard to see the good in people, most of them aren't going to give you that courtesy.

Don't bother trying to make friends. They'll just prolong the inevitable. You're better off killing yourself now, when you're alone so you won't have to disappoint them later.

No matter what you do, you'll always fail. Don't set high expectations for yourself, don't be a perfectionist. You'll still fail, but you won't suffer a psychotic break and be home bound and imprisoned inside your own body as a result. This is important, because you're never going to have the spine to actually end it, so you may as well not make living any harder than it already is.

You will find people who love you. It won't matter because you're incapable of loving yoruself.

The hatred you have for your own body is perfectly natural. God flipped a coin and it came up 'fuck you'. Deal with it. Or don't. You'll be miserable either way, so it doesn't really matter.

Nothing matters.

Don't listen to anything I have to say. I'm miserable and worthless, and it's not too late for you to be better than that.

Tough, but here would be a few things I would probably say to myself.

1) When you are 16, tell her you like her.
2) Things may seem but now, and they still will when you grow up, but you will be fine. You got this.
3) Your first job will be fun, and you will make some good friends there, but that will be the stepping stone to your dream job.
4) Study harder and get into fitness.
5) Be more social in your uni years and get comfortable around people, specially women.
and most important of all
6) Join the BSN boards earlier and join the Zorah group sooner. Also join the RP thread sooner XD

I thought I was crazy, or a scrub, because I still cannot countersnipe Hanzo as Widow. It upset me, just now, when some faggot in a Lone Wolf costume beat me over and over.

Turns out, with his bow drawn, his arm hitbox blocks nearly all of his face, beyond what the model shows, and then that wolf head adds so much dead mass with no hitbox that there's no reference for what portion of his head is hittable. Not even worth going for headshots on him, basically.

Neck doesn't count as head, but it's covered by his arm anyway. Picture an oval with about 3/4's lopped off, then image trying to directly place your cursor and click it as it moves at varying speeds.

Yeah, Hanzo is bullshit in general. I've seen people aim at the midsection of characters and still get a headshot.

I'm sitting in a worn-out office chair I've had for what feels like a decade, but probably is just five years or so. Worn it down to the wood and my ass starts to hurt after sitting for a couple of hours. Good incentive to get up and walk around, but I'm going to get me one of them fancy gaming chairs when payday comes.

My chair was cheap back in '05 when I bought it. Front half of the seat snapped down years ago, both plastic padding for the arm rests have come off and duct tape is keeping one on while the other is now a bare metal bar. There's about 1/8th inch of foam separating the seat fabric and the plastic butt piece, probably the main cause of a medical issue I've had to deal with for years now. It''s functional, fits in the small space I have and is perfect for the forward sitting I do when I work, but I think the time of frugality is over when it concerns my butt. Need something cushiony.

@SWM: Christ, I just had that happen. My chair was so painful by the end. A seat cushion only did so much. I just bought a new one though, because food poisoning embedded vomit scent in the old one, and enough was enough.

Oh come on, Audible. The only interesting book (Thrawn) I've seen in months among your B-class sci-fi schlock and it's blocked due to publishing rights restrictions. I mean, there's the Bobiverse series, but that one only has two books so far.

Also, this is me right now. AC is too loud for comfort and I don't want the nasty bugs outside to get in by opening a window.

Cold game of golf, totally worth it watching my dad's jaw drop as I out-drive him consistently.

"Perhaps an optimist, but never a fool, Guilliman learned from the Horus Heresy, and he foresaw that the forces of Chaos would never relent in their aim to bring the Imperium low. He anticipated that devastating times would once again engulf the galaxy and knew that warriors resilient enough to stand against them would be needed as never before. That time has surely come.

As the Imperium literally comes apart, and the forces of Chaos run rampant across the galaxy, Guilliman launches his Indomitus Crusade. We’ve heard that name before, but what does it mean? The new Warhammer 40,000 has this to say on it:

“Roboute Guilliman gathered his new armada. Along with elements of the Adeptus Custodes, a small contingent of the Silent Sisterhood, and a vast war host of Primaris Space Marines from many newly founded Chapters, the Primarch set a winding course. Strike forces from over a dozen pre-existing Chapters of Space Marines, led by the Imperial Fists, joined the fleet. Thus began many new legends as Guilliman travelled to aid beleaguered planets, breaking sieges and sweeping away invaders to bring hope back to the desperate defenders. It was not long before word began to spread, as all those planets that could receive astropathic messages hailed the return of a hero out of myth. Once more, one of the demigods of the past fought for the Imperium of Mankind.”

So, that sounds pretty promising for the Imperium. Well, maybe. The scale of the task is monumental. Following the emergence of the Cicatrix Maledictum, no world in the Imperium has been untouched by war, and there are many thousands of planets that cry out for aid and reinforcement. And that’s on the Terran side of the Great Rift! Travel through the Cicatrix Maledictum is all but impossible, but sporadic contact has been made, through temporary warp-routes, to a few of the best-defended worlds on the other side – and things are not looking good. On the far side of the galaxy-spanning warp storm, things have quite literally gone to hell.

There, the light of the Astronomicon is obscured behind a psychic maelstrom of nightmares and the entire region has been dubbed ‘Imperium Nihilus’, or the Dark Imperium. Amongst the besieged Imperial worlds in this Dark Imperium are many Space Marine Chapter Planets, including Baal, home of the Blood Angels. Things were already looking pretty grim for the sons of Sanguinius, with a hive fleet closing in on them, and now it looks even bleaker. Cut off from the light of Terra, the Angels and their Successors stand unbowed against the might of Hive Fleet Leviathan, hoping they can withstand the storm.

Yipes, the Blood Angels sound like they are in trouble. This isn’t the first time they have triumphed against impossible odds though, can they make it out alive? We’ll have to see."

well my grandfather have been send to the hospital after getting a blood clot in the brain.

Needless to say it's more or less his own fault, as he has been avoiding going to the doctors even though he has had issues for months with various things and doing some other dumb things.

He is alive for now, but he is 78 and not taken care of himself so yeah not having the highest hopes for him right now.

So if suddenly go very quiet, well it might be because I'm dealing with some of that along with my own personal demons.

It's probably just my paranoia at work as usual, but it feels like I'm going to get hemorrhoids if I sit on this old piece of crap for too long.

In my (dubious) experience, it seems like this happens most often with faux leather or actual leather chairs. They almost invariably split and all the guts fall out. I've had the same cheapo chair for like 15 years and it's still fine but it's upholstery. I have weird standards of comfort though (like I *hate* chairs with high backs and I don't want anything touching my head).
