Looks like Man of Steel 2 was just reconfirmed after being removed from the list of DC movies.
Apparently Superman will actually act like Superman now.

It would certainly be nice if Superman could act like Superman!
Fucking hell.

Now do a shot for shot reshoot in the modern style, changing no lines or audio apart from basic ambient sounds, and keeping the designs as close to G1 as you can manage and you'd have a good, "live action" Transformers movie for today's age.

Star Wars: Rogue One Planet Revealed as a Jedi Holy Land-- Director Gareth Edwards reveals details about a new planet dubbed Jedha, a Jedi holy land featured in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
"It's a place where people who believe in the Force would go on a pilgrimage. It was essentially taken over by the Empire. It's an occupied territory... for reasons we probably can't reveal. There's something very important in Jedha that serves both the Jedi and the Empire. It felt very much like something we could relate to in the real world."

Why is DC so bad at this?

Re: Films and TV (Untagged spoilers)
Actually, the TV shows are probably the best live action thing DC has done since the Nolan's Batman movies. Gotham is the most mixed bag of them though.
Mostly because for some idiotic reason 20th Century Fox has the rights to make Batman tv shows so instead of having something cool and in-canon with stuff like Flash and Arrow, we've got Smallville: Gotham City Edition.
And it's also likely the reason we're not getting a Teen Titans live action series, because DC/Warner would need to find a way to bypass or get permission from Fox to use Robin/Nightwing.

Okay, to be fair Uma Thurman's Ivy was blonde before becoming a redhead in the Tim Burton lot. maybe they're taking the same route and doing something similar?

Tim Burton didn't direct Batman forever and Batman and Robin. The studio kick him off after Batman returns because it wasn't family friendly enough.
Joel Schumacher was the one who directed those movies and was pretty much ordered to make them as family friendly as possible.

Re: Films and TV (Untagged spoilers)
The problem with Burton is that the only reason he was interested into Batman were the dark and gothic design of the city, and the freakshow vibe of the Bat-foes. He said several times he thought Batman himself was the least interesting character of the franchise. That explains an whole lot of what happened with the second movie, I'd say.

Well in any case it's been done before, it could be done well here.

That's the closest we've ever got to a movie Megatron that resembles who he's supposed to be... and it still looks like garbage! Sigh...

It's because in most places they don't differentiate where plates begin or end.
Can we just call it a day and get High Moon to make a super HD, no limitations, animated movie?
They at least have an art style consistent with most of TF.

That trailer, the scale is superb. It just works. The director is fresh and Dragaros I know you know of him he directed the last Godzilla movie a few years ago. He also did a movie called Monsters, which was his first film. He uses a ground level perspective so you can have a better take on the sheer scale and size of things. Like the AT ATs for example, sure we have seen them and know them but having to look up on a battlefield to see these things lumbering towards you brings in a whole different experience.
AND GOOD GOD VADER! That sent chills down my spine, loved it.

Here's an... interesting read from a former WB employee:

Not sure what's gonna accomplish sharing this online... most likely nothing, but it's a good way to resume my gripes with what their doing both in general and with the whole DC universe in particular.

Indeed. Not everyone liked Monsters or Godzilla 2014, but there's no denying Edwards has a real gift for conveying scale and enormity, of having people seem so tiny and insignificant next to massive, dangerous, and powerful things. Which works especially great for a small rebellion facing the juggernaut of the Empire and its colossal super weapons, gargantuan ships, legions of troopers, and a certain Dark Lord of the Sith. I'm super pumped for this film.
