I was digging through some old files that have been transferred from computer to computer with no real organization and found some old Homework.

I have no idea what this was for, probably some American history class, but for some reason i scan read it and found this:

Though lately I've been thinking more about going back to college, the costs have gone up quite a bit at the school I attended.

Yeah and books have somehow gotten even more expensive.

I managed to pirate most of what i needed, but still.

Speaking of which i really need to look at the stuff for the basic programming class. I made the mistake of taking that one online, and have received no guidance, no direction and was just told to prepare for a test on chapter 1 by the 6th. No idea what to study, what the test entails, or what to expect, just "Chapter 1 test" on a calendar.

At least its only Java, which, as i recall, is not that difficult.

I took a similar class for Java online. I managed to make a dialogue window tell me the time and my name based on a list of numbers, but then the course had the mother of all difficulty spikes and decided to mix in algebra and other kinds of math, which just tanked my interest because fuck math. I still have the book, but I didn't complete the course.

Now I barely remember any of it. My most used line was probably JOptionPane.showMessageDialogue(null, "Hi!");

Looking further ahead in the book reveals shit about coordinates and computing prices. If I was studying to become an economist, I'd probably be all over that, but I'm not.

I used to make Strings, but now I'm free.

Yikes. Then by all means, don't be buying games. During the off season, there's basically no work, and as it drags, I clamp down real hard on any spending too.

Well I have I do have an education (I can make websites, but it's been a few years since I took it), but I'm not on one right now as I need an internship to complete another education I had been doing last year (which means my income is 0 as I now get no income, not on education or have job you don't get any income).

Okay I have DnD 3.5e books, DnD 5e books, Pathfinder and some Edge of the Empire (Star Wars DnD) books.
I also have some character sheets and a couple of site links for custom ones and a link to a compendium Pathfinder website for all Pathfinder stuff.

This accompanied with the dice rolling mechanics and map features in Roll20.com and some VOIP and a digital game of DnD can in theory take place amongst us with a good DM/GM.

If people wee still considering doing that during the holiday seasons/periods/when we can all be free due to time zones, etc.

Golly, what a nice Friday. Worked a half day, got a nice paycheck, the political news was not awful, and I played Widow effectively. Also it's nearing 2 AM and I've been going through a box of Blue Moon. A good day.

I doubt anyone is really going to care about this here, but an artist friend of mine was kind enough to draw the character "Theodoric of Friede" for me. They have a very unique style. Very stylized, but i like their work a lot. They are excellent at character uniform/clothing design.

They were actually the one that got me to actually turn the name into a character to begin with. Kind of a neat little thing. Nice to have an official rendition of the character I always make in fantasy games.

Now if only I actually had a use for the character. Oh well.

Being in early access that long is an even bigger offense in my opinion.

It's not that uncommon for online-focused games at this point... I'm not saying it's the best thing in the world, but there are quite a few beta/e.a. games in that category that very very good. Even Warframe, arguably one of the best if not the best F2P game on Steam, technically is still a beta.

Also, Ark Survival Evolved so far delivered what promised, is constantly being updated even without counting that expansion, and costs half of full retail price.

I'm not saying that there aren't games and companies that abuse the Early Access system, because it'd be pretty naive of me. But in this particular case... eh, I'm not mad. And I don't even play the damn thing (although I've been following its development because dinosaurs ehe).

Phew. Did my first season 2 placement match, mostly as McCree, went 76 briefly, on Lijong (KOTH). We won, 3-2, but it was tense. I'm kinda drained from one game!

I did 4 matches last night with a friend, and we traded wins and losses evenly. I think I am allowed to say the losses were our teammate's fault considering they kept leaving the points or payloads to chase after kills instead of trying to hold the objective. Also I scored gold eliminations as Ana.

I went as Mercy because of the new emotes and group demand. I was rather proactive and started shooting at the enemies when my team was all healed up and looking for people to boost when they started shooting/activating ults. I got out-staged by the enemy team's Mercy who got a 3 man rez play of the game simply by standing behind a wall and waiting for everyone to die instead of helping them. We won the entire thing with a shut-out, though.

I'll join a competitive match when people ask me to, but I doubt I'll do it out of my own volition, because none of the rewards interest me (probably because I saw and earned similar rewards in Call of Duty 4) and I don't want to spend that much time on it. Not to mention the tryhard-stress.

Beautiful weather today; the hurricane didn't hit us but it sucked up a lot of the heat and we got this great breeze going. Perfect for running or biking. And the leaves are already starting to change. I love the Autumn months.

Not to mention that every play of the game made by Genji looks the same. I really have no issues with Zarya, other than annoying bubbles at bad times, and McCree never seems to be a major threat on the teams I fight. But the Shimadas, gah, they're not even overpowered, but annoyingly good. Can't try to kill Genji until you bait the Reflect, and you still have to wait for the inevitable forward dash through you as soon as it fades, so get ready to 180 and look up. But sometimes you get a Genji who'll delay the Reflect, or can land 3 shurikens to the head, or is genuinely a master and knows the jump/flank points really well.

Earlier, I played Hanzo for one map. Nepal, KOTH. Very start of the game, we rush to the middle, I blind fire a sonic arrow, accidentally headshot their Reaper. Blind fire scattershot right after, headshot their 76. I felt dirty. Also I couldn't hit people for shit on purpose all round, but I somehow got kills, which was frustrating because I was on a bad streak with hitscan heroes right before.

Also did my second placement match. 2-0 so far, but these things are stressful. Again, won, but at the last moment on Hollywood when we broke through their quite good defense. I'll give Blizz credit, their MMR seems to work, because it's placing me against people where I can't stomp, but don't get stomped, on an individual level.

Blizzard very clearly designed the game so that you couldn't immediately tell who's dead weight, who's carrying, who's average, and so on. I'm not sure how I feel about the opaque metrics, honestly. Leaving the objective, tunnel visioning for kills, and getting gold on elim as Ana are pretty clear what was happening though.

That's why the game needs a dedicated Carry the Team hero that gets stronger the less the rest of them contributes to the objective.

Genji, Mcree, Mei, roadhog and occasionally Junkrat are my villains right now.

Genjji is obvious, Mcree and Roadhog for that inescapable stun-lock. Oh and Roadhog's chain bug has not been fixed, it's happened in both the competitive games I have tried (both loses BTW).
Mei is just...ARGH. That ice gun of hers either needs to have a shorter range on it's primary or the ice needs to be less effective the further away from the "beam" you are. So if you're at the end of the "beam" you freeze 3/4's as quickly or something.

My only issue with junkrat is his riptire can travel through Reinhardt's shield, I think it should bounce off, making it more based on skill and so if you're caught out waiting for the rest of your team to arrive you can't be gang-raped by the enemy team and ALL the ults. Two or three, fine, but all, overkill.

The sad thing is that is probably gonna be enough for the fanboys and too lazy to look elsewhere people, and will make a crapton of money.
