All I know is that the feeling you get when you're dog ass tired? That's caused by the melatonin your body naturally produces. It's the hormone you secrete that your biological clock issues once it's dark out, after you've been up all day, or when you're exhausted, so it's great for people who just need a little extra help getting off to sleep, or if you're like me, and your internal clock is always screwed up, this way you can keep yourself on a good schedule.

I meant, is it a legit medicine, or is it an herbal that might have a correlation with what it purports to do? I've been trying those this year, and a few work, kinda.

I don't feel tired as such, it's more the lack of being tired, and then inability to remain asleep for 8 hours straight. What I need is effectively a biological light switch on a timer. Is that what this does?

Someone With Mass wrote:I'd say that it falls into the category of being the easy kind of sexy. As in, there's obviously very little effort put into that outfit to make it sexy, whereas the story outfit has at least some detailed decorations.

Right. It's the inverse of the over-dressed trope that's en vogue right now. Skin isn't good for the sake of itself. Have to put effort and artistry into showing skin, dammit!

Dragaros wrote:I like the story outfit the most, too.

I'm also thinking how Tali could rock that outfit. :D

Now that you mention it, she basically looks like she's wearing a quarian outfit, doesn't she?

For context, that glowing, floating windchime is as close to a physical manifestation of Lawful Good as the setting has, which makes it really funny that Illidian one shot it for getting grabby.

The naaru always seemed a little "too" good back in Burning Crusade, the slavish devotion of "good" guys to them over the years hasn't helped. So I'm with Illidian on this one.

I think Naaru are more akin to angels than gods, but yeah. Some Naaru are ok, but many are assholes or so aloof they might as well be. That’s the rub with being an embodiment of Lawful Good. That mindset can easy fall into the "my way or the highway" tyrannical, fanatical zealotry that begins to callously sacrifices others for a vague greater good, disregards and demonizes other points of view, creates purity tests, devalues freedom and choice, and blinds you to your own growing corrupt self-righteousness. Neutral Good and Chaotic Good deities are more likely to bring long term positive results. Cenarius was a cool and friendly god and he was in the Chaotic Good camp. Then demon-blood infused orcs murdered him. Because Azeroth just can’t have nice things. Naaru switch between good and evil as part of their lifecycle I believe, so maybe its to be expected that they retain some evil when good, and some good even evil. But I might be mistaken. I’m still hazy on much of the new lore.

Xe'ra: Oh, Illidan, I want to rub my sweet, sweet Light all over you…
Illidan: Bad touch! No means no!
Xe'ra: Your mouth says no but destiny says yes!
Illidan: Hey, I expect to be treated to dinner first at the very least! And removing my sexy demon tats is off the table!

Vol wrote:The naaru always seemed a little "too" good back in Burning Crusade, the slavish devotion of "good" guys to them over the years hasn't helped. So I'm with Illidian on this one.

It was always a "this feels too good to be true" feeling when they showed up. Like, sure, they oppose the Burning Legion and save folks, but there was always a feeling that there was a price to pay for their efforts that was coming down the road at some point. Or accepting their help means losing autonomy and the ability to determine your own world's destiny. And they're so big picture that its easy to lose sight of what the side of goodness values so much, and what mortals value in life.

And yeah, she was straight up going to alter his mind/body/soul without his permission. That's something most people would consider wrong. Totally with Illidan.

They're the assholes that first popularized the idea of DLCs to begin with (and now thei're making fun of that making jokes to the DLC horse armor they made for TES: Oblivion...) and the only reason thei're not as bad as EA is that they actually put some effort and alot of content in their titles (at least relatively compared to the rest of the mainstream market). But that makes it even worse because it allows them to have a big fanbase that lets them get away with this shit.

You can bet your ass there's an whole bunch of people already accustomed to loot boxes and appgames economic models that are using the damn Creation Club right now, and even defending it.

Hopefully they'll not be enough to get the thing going on the long run, but I won't be surprised if it does work.

"Gishath, Sun's Avatar - Magic The Gathering: Those who know me, know that I am and always have been absolutely crazy about dinosaurs - becoming a paleontologist very nearly became my life's pursuit before art. Believe me when I say it is an unfathomable honor to not only get to work on Magic's first foray into a dinosaur set, but to have been assigned what will be one of the foremost iconic dinosaur cards for years to come. Ixalan has been hands down my favorite world I've worked on. With that, I present to you Gishath, Sun's Avatar!"

In recent years they've done a Gothic Horror set, a fantasy Mongol set, a Greek Mythology inspired set, a Lovecraftian Horror set, a fantasy Egypt set, and now a Dinosaur set. Where were these back in the day when I was trying to convince my friends to learn the rules so I could actually play the card game with other people? I might have been more successful in my efforts had I been able to show off stuff like this!

Playing War of the Chosen and one of my guys got a negative trait called Fear of Panic, which makes them panic whenever someone else panics. Mass hysteria!

My favorite Chosen is easily the Hunter. He has quips like no one else. Like when I killed a Codex and he said that he also thought that hunting trans-dimensional beings is such a pain.

Also, if you have a Templar and they have the ability to learn Bladestorm through the training center, do it. On a Templar, it can't miss because it counts as a Rend attack, minus the Focus generation. One of the easiest ways to kill the Lost.

Move over, Sue: World's largest dinosaur taking center stage at Field Museum

[[ "Visitors to the Field Museum early next year will be in for a shock: For the first time in almost two decades, Sue, the museum’s star attraction and the largest, most complete T. rex skeleton ever found, will not be on display in the museum’s central hallway. Beginning with her dismantling in February, the apex predator and apex museum specimen is being kicked upstairs in favor of a dinosaur much bigger and much more recently discovered — the world’s largest, in fact, the Patagotitan mayorum, a plant eater unearthed in South America in 2014. “We have this tremendous hall that sort of dwarfs everything, even Sue,” said Peter Makovicky, the museum’s associate curator of dinosaurs. “You pretty much have two options: You either get a blue whale or you get the biggest dinosaur in the world.” The Sue skeleton will move upstairs to a new exhibit being constructed especially for her, the museum will announce Wednesday, and Stanley Field Hall will host a cast of the titanosaur that will stretch 122 feet from head to toe, more than three times Sue’s length and almost 7 times her bulk, and stand two stories tall. Because it is a cast — the second full skeleton to be displayed in the world, following one that went up last year at New York’s American Museum of Natural History — visitors will be able to walk under it, to touch it, to reach way up and caress the animal maybe just above the knee. The introduction of a new potential museum star, and the recasting of the current one, are occurring to mark the 125th anniversary of the museum in 2018. Paying for it is a $16.5 million gift from Chicago billionaire Kenneth Griffin, which the Field calls “one of the largest private contributions ever to a Chicago museum,” designed to help emphasize the museum’s status as a first-rate dinosaur destination. But moving Sue could jolt a public that has grown accustomed to that menacing face. Chicagoans aren’t always so keen on alterations to the norm. Size is sexy, but so is ferocity. Sue, as a top carnivore, has always had a special magnetism. But museums are not immune to the challenge of the theme park, where each year demands a new roller coaster. “It’s a radical change that people will initially have a strong reaction to, and I think that’s good,” said Jaap Hoogstraten, the museum’s director of exhibits. He emphasized that Stanley Field Hall has had a variety of personas through the years: There’s been a fountain there, there’ve been rows of animal specimens in wood-and-glass cases, there was, immediately before Sue, the 75-foot brachiosaur skeleton cast, a smaller titanosaur and one discovered many decades earlier, that is now out on the museum’s northwest terrace. The brachiosaur “got knocked out of Stanley Field Hall by Sue,” said William Simpson, a Field paleontologist and its head of collections. “I think that’s a smart thing they’re going to do,” said Pete Larson, who was part of the group of fossil hunters that originally discovered Sue, a 90-percent complete fossil, in 1990 in the Black Hills of South Dakota. “Moving her to a smaller hall will really emphasize her size. She’s a huge dinosaur, but because the room is so large she’s kind of dwarfed in it. I also think this will give them a better venue to tell her story in more detail.” Plus, time and science march on, said Larson, president of the Black Hills Geological Research Institute in Hill City, S.D., and Sue’s continuing celebrity status can be used to boost visitorship to her new home, the “Evolving Planet” exhibit that tells the story of life on Earth and is already the museum’s most popular permanent exhibition." ]]

Even back then, people were asking why precisely we were wiping out Illidian's army on the word of these glowing entities we've never heard of before, given what he was doing was bad, but we have no stake in his fight _against the Burning Legion_. Oh and their split rep was bullshit. "Lower City" my ass.

So given that naaru was honeydicking Mr. Elf real hard in the lead up, it's cute to see the outcome.

Also I don't know how old Menat is supposed to be, but between the hip wiggle, the gams, and the poses, I don't care.

Fate of Konor Update: Chaos win on Drenthal

"Another week of the campaign, and Chaos have managed to just hold onto their lead with a victory over Drenthal! The Imperium made excellent gains in the Hanghalen Seastead, breaking a string of difficult weeks for the UK and Rest of World, but Chaos managed to hold the Agdaen Archipelago throughout the week. The battle ultimately came down to possession of Terebral Station Sigma, which for most of the week was locked in a desperate draw.

Despite a much improved showing from the Imperium – resulting in them actually pulling ahead in terms of overall victories – thanks to the efforts of players in the UK and the Rest of the World region – Chaos managed to maintain a hold on 2 out of the 3 locations, thus claiming a win on objectives (we’ve all been there!)

The final week of the campaign dawns – here, the Fate of Konor will be truly decided. The winner on Loebos will win the entire campaign, and with both sides making strong showings, it’s impossible to say at this stage who will win. For this extra-special campaign week, we’re giving you a little extra time to battle, and you’ll have until the morning of Monday the 11th of September to play and submit your results – after which, we’ll be announcing the final victor."

And now the Warlock's dead. Flawless mission and he didn't even manage to attack once. Died to an overwatch crit. He scoffed at my SPARK too. It ended up being his undoing. Either I'm too strong for the Chosen or they believe their own hype too much, because the biggest enemy when it comes to their strongholds so far has been fatigue from running around the place so much.

Only the Hunter remains. He's a funny guy. That's why I chose to kill him last.

To my disappointment, the Hunter went down in a very similar fashion as the Warlock did. Didn't manage to get an attack off and got killed due to an overwatch crit. From the same character, no less.

Funny enough, the Avatar project is a bigger threat than the Chosen ever were.

...It's not herbal. It's the hormone your body naturally produces, you just take it at your own discretion to induce that sleepy feeling and help out your internal clock when it gets messed up from the rigors of modern living.

So, yes, Melatonin would probably help you out a great deal. Worst you could do is try it and see for yourself.

I think that Legend is a bit stressful and the doubled everything when it comes to resources to be rather tedious, so I put it on Commander. Out of all the Chosen weapons, I think the Hunter's set are the best. Especially since they get +2 damage from my breakthrough researches. I don't even have Fan Fire on any of my Sharpshooters yet and the pistol alone has proven to be worth getting my A team tired and some of them shaken so I couldn't take them on a facility mission I had to do.

I was also really lucky early on, because my first resistance order halved the excavation times. Shortly after that, I got a card that doubles the ability points earned and then one that boosts weapon upgrades. My first continent bonus also allowed me to instantly contact new regions.

I really like the changes these things bring to the game, because it'll make every campaign different.

And hey, SPARKs are actually useful this time around. They got a base aim buff and now you can upgrade their weapons, so the ability that gives them a chance to take an overwatch shot against discovered enemies isn't entirely useless.

If there's anything I don't like about the Guerrilla Facility upgrades is that the one for the Skirmishers is almost completely useless. Meanwhile, Templars can start with one Focus and Reapers can become invisible to scan towers. On Legend, that Skirmisher bonus (5% chance to gain a movement point when you move) would have cost 200 supplies. So not worth it.

I've been fighting the existential dread by fighting Geth and mercs. Also started fighting Locust recently. Guess which series I started?

Funnily enough, a few years back, before I was booted out, I had a spontaneous urge to play the entire Gears trilogy (Insanity). Good games. Though I can barely remember anything about them beyond the first one.

No shit, of course Samus wins. How many times are we going to do this, internet? Master Chief cannot beat Samus. Its not even a remotely fair contest. She's just in a completely different tier of power than he is.

Of all the major videogame shooter main characters, the only one with a chance against Samus is DoomGuy, and that is because "ridiculously overpowered" is his main character trait. Everyone else should not even try.
