Exactly. I've seen this kind of games before with the scale being the key difference. Which isn't necessarily a good thing, because I think the market is saturated with all those open world sandbox games that devolve to a tedious grind more than anything else. It's even worse when everyone's hyping the shit out of them. Metal Gear Solid 5 could have done without the sandbox, because the fights takes place in closed off areas like in every other Metal Gear Solid game. The only difference is that now you have several kilometers between those areas to travel with outposts that are hilariously easy to dispose off. The story also suffered because of it, since I rarely remembered what happened earlier before I decided to dedicate several hours to fight goons and travel between outposts, whereas I can almost remember the entirety of Metal Gear Solid 3's story in vivid details because those moments were very condensed.
