I learned something about myself yesterday. My computer's been acting up (making a loud ruckus when I turn it on) brought it to Fry's where they said the power fan box may need to be replaced. I told them I have one that originally came with the set up and asked them how do I switch it out. They said you just unplug it and plug in the new one. So I took the side panel off my tower and unscrewed the box and un-clipped the wires. Then I saw the large black cord that stuck out of it that ran alongside the other side of the tower. I never took off the other side panel before, so I flipped the tower, undid the panel and slid it off. I looked at the mess of cords braided throughout the side and said "Nope!" and put it all back together.

I learned that I'm not a computer guy.

Minnesota cold form entropy strikes again!

3 vehicles went down with various cold weather maladies, involving two car batteries and back tires. It was -25, and the telltale click of a bad battery afflicted my Sisters car and my dads truck. I went off and jumped my dads truck with the CJ, come to find out the rear tire had a sidewall leak. Can't fix that.

So after a harrowing day braving the -10 degree in the sun day, I walked all over town hauling car batteries and tires on foot. Good thing there wasn't any wind, otherwise I'd be a Popsicle, or moreso than I already am.

Regardless, I accomplished the battery replacements and the tires will be replaced tomorrow.

Sometimes I ask why I live in a place that gets colder than the poles, but then I remember: no southerners.

Oh, you're wiser than I was, because I did a very similar thing with one of my front fans and now I have to ship my graphics card off to the guys I bought it from in order to get a replacement because of the warranty that covers non-visible damages, even though I have a sneaking suspicion that I somehow broke it when I switched out the fan, which didn't even work in the long run, because it's still causing that nerve-wracking resonance sound.

Don't know if I screwed something up by removing the graphics card either. I'm surprising myself by not having consistent anxiety attacks about it, really.

Even though I fear that it's only a matter of time before my oh so many pent up feelings break my fragile little mind, due to the way I handle bad things happening (shaking with rage, wishing for so many specific people to be put into a wood chipper, loudly cursing my own and their lives, wishing things were different in any way and doing a lot of ghost punching to get rid of the urge to really punch something I'll regret doing ten seconds later, until I for the lack of a better term manage to get it all out, calm down and approach my problem in a still pissed off, but focused manner) because it happens for the smallest and dumbest of things. Most fresh example that I can think of is when I got my computer back and realized that two screws to the side panel were missing. I was furious and doing the usual thing to vent because I kept thinking about the fact that they'd be closed for the holidays and that I'd have to go to work a few days later, which would only prolong things, because I suck at managing my time. Had to tell myself that it's not a big deal and that I can buy new screws in the worst case. Hopefully ones that aren't black and easier to see.

Shit like this makes me think of all the psych ward cases in which someone ended up killing people because they didn't get the treatment they needed in time. I also haven't heard back from the psychologist I've been waiting in line for, which isn't helping.

Anyway. That's a rant. Or me blowing off steam in one of the very few ways I know how.

Well. Do you feel better at least? Because usually after I type that much emotional stuff, I'm pretty placid for a couple months.

Oh, it goes away as quickly as it comes, but I'm not fond of losing control like that and I've noticed that it's happening more and more often. It's like chucking your controller at a wall in rage and then realizing that the controller is completely broken and that it wasn't the controller's fault to begin with and that you now have to spend money to buy a new one just because that anger managed to slip out for a split second. It's a bit like that, but for even more trivial stuff. Things that shouldn't even matter. I can get pretty angry at stuff and to quietly vent it all out, I try to picture it in my mind and only think about it, but something makes me lash out from time to time. There's a limit to everything.

When I'm not in sight of anyone, whenever I visualize ripping something I'm furious at to pieces, my hands often join in and make those motions to empty air. It's rarely working, but a part of my mind thinks that it's better than doing it to something or someone else as I've done in the past and instantly regreted afterwards.

Chaos is gonna be busy this year. Recent revelations reveal that a powerful shard of the infamous C'tan known as the Deceiver is constructing great anti-Warp pylons in the galactic core and manipulating some Chaos Marines into following it, and there are Tyranid hive fleets actively going after daemon-tained planets now, to secure its supply of fresh prey and because the sudden opening of the Great Rift hurt the Hive Mind and ruined the invasion of Baal, and the Hive Mind is pissed--in addition to the Imperium getting its shit together and still living loyal Primarchs thought long lost slowly returning. If Chaos wants the galaxy to continue being their playground, their gonna have to fight for it just like everyone else. No more coasting on the success of the Horus Heresy. Especially in regards to Slannesh; the confrontation between Ynnead and She Who Thirsts will come one day, with the final fate of the Eldar on the line.

The Necron lord Trazyn has a dyson sphere in his collection that may or may not be the one containing the the C'Tan known as the Outsider.

Fabius Bile made a clone of pre-corruption Fulgrim; Bile traded the Primarch clone to Trazyn for supplies so he can continue his twisted experiments.

The Tau need to be careful moving forward, especially since a select few Tau have already unknowingly gained the favor of Khorne and Tzeentch, and Papa Nurgle still wants to bring them into his pestilent family. The Ethereals won't be able to suppress the truth about Chaos forever.

Ghazghkull is on his way to becoming another Prime-Ork like the Beasts from The War of the Beast.

The Tyranids almost got into a Webway gate system which would have given them immediate access to tons of planets and craftworlds to gorge on; you can thank the White Scars and the Eldar for preventing that nightmare scenario.

Yep. Its from the recent novel Clonelord. From what I've been told, the Fulgrim clone wanted to try to save the Emperor's Children from Slaanesh's grip if possible, so the clone seemed to have noble intentions and some memories at the very least. The book hasn't released here yet, so I'll provide more details after I read it myself.

Clone-Primarchs are stronger than Space Marines, but not as strong as their original selves, because while Bile can replicate the genetics, he can't replicate the special Warp power the Emperor infused them with. The Primarchs are part science and part Warpcraft. (Which the HH novels suggest the Emperor got in a bargain he made with the Chaos Gods after using a Warp Gate on the planet Molech, but he reneged on his side of the deal, pissing off the Chaos Gods, leading to the Primarchs being scattered across the galaxy when they were babies and eventually the Horus Heresy. Apparently while Emps could have infused them with his own power using his psyker abilities, doing so would have greatly weakened him and would have split his soul, so he needed additional power to complete the Primarch project and still retain his own strength.)

Bile also made numerous Ferrus Manus clones during the Horus Heresy which Fulgrim would talk to and try to convince to join Chaos, but ultimately killed every single one because Manus, even as a clone, was still 100% loyal to the Imperium and always refused. After becoming a Daemon Prince Fulgrim got over it, but before then it was a deep regret that the Primarch he felt closest to didn't join him and whom he was forced to kill on Istvaan III.

Bile has also said he ultimately wants to clone the Emperor himself in the novel Black Tide, by reverse-engineering the DNA from all the original Space Marines Chapters/Primarchs. He's got a long way to go before he makes any real progress on that front, but that's still something to keep an eye on.

Huh. I'm getting the hard opposite. I used to be able to get so mad that I'd toss a controller through a wall, beat the shit out of my mattress, and curse like a one-eyed carpenter when angry, but I've been mellowing a lot. Which is also concerning, because being unable to muster feelings doesn't seem entirely good. Grass is always greener, I suppose.
