Saw a thing online the other day that is utterly true:

Nobody would care if we added the hour in the middle of the night such that you get an extra hour of sleep, but removed the hour at 2 in the afternoon so you get off work an hour early. Everybody would love it then.

It's made even worse when you're going by other time zones. You think you have the time worked out and don't really check up on it until the last twenty minutes and then oh shit, you forgot daylight savings and the thing started almost an hour ago.

I'd love to be able to play Ridley, he's my ultimate Smash Bros wish, and the "he's too big" meme is indeed a very invalid argument, but I see it as super unlikely given what Sakurai and others have said in interviews. I've been burned twice now. I won't get any hopes up again on my favorite space dragon making it in as a playable character instead of being another boss or assist trophy or some such without serious evidence.

Other wishes of mine still include Bomberman, Simon Belmont, King K Rool, Dixie Kong, Midna & Wolf Link, Majora's Mask Skull Kid, Toon Ganondorf, Dark Samus, Paper Mario, and a few others.

It doesn't have to scale perfectly, a Bowser-size Ridley would be a good compromise and work perfectly.

It is very unlikely to happen, but I see nothing wrong with it. I'd happily settle for a Dark Samus as an alternative, tho.

Would depend by the design and moveset they go for, I suppose. Also they could do like with Ganondorf and (again) Bowser in previous games did, and have him transform into a bigger and more monstrous form as part of his special attacks. Like the basic form looks like Super Metroid Ridley, but he can transform temporarily into Meta-Ridley or Omega Ridley to cause extra damage. Again, I doubt it'll ever happen, but it's doable, if you're abit creative.

Smash Bros Melee’s intro cinematic solved the size “problem” 16 years ago:

“Too big” is a lazy, groundless argument in my opinion. Ridley doesn’t even have a canon size; he’s a different size in every game he’s in, similar to Bowser. (And even if he did, Smash Bros doesn’t care about canon, nor should it) Shrinking him down to fit in with the rest of the cast for gameplay balance doesn’t ruin his character or any such thing. If Ridley is too big to be playable, than Kirby and Olimar are too small. More to the point, I’ve seen dozens of fan-made Ridley mods for Smash Bros that work as perfect proof of concepts. Its possible. Only thing stopping it from being possible is laziness. Hell, Nintendo could use Charizard as a template if its so much work. The point is moot though, since like I said in previous post, I don’t believe its ever going to happen for real, as much as it annoys me. Nintendo’s dug their heels in on that issue.

Finally getting around to play MGS5, first one since MGS on the PS1, because a certain someone likes to browbeat me to try new things.

So naturally I'm going for 100% in Ground Zero first. Took me a good long while to get used to the mechanics, every stealth game is different. Though learning to iron sight the tranq gun is really the key to success, I've found. 71 yard max snipe with that little beauty.

S-ranked every mission, and unlocked every trial, rescued every prisoner, found every cassette (but 2), except for Jamais Vu. Seems like it's going to be one of the hard ones, given I got a B on my first finish despite doing quite well. Though the assassination mission was the hardest, think it took me well over a dozen tries to nail it down.

Really hope the reward on import is worth it, heh. If not, it's good training, I think.

Your MGS5 experience is not complete until you've found the cassette tape that has MGS3's intro theme on it and lets your pilot blast it through the helicopter speakers as it lands to pick you up.

Never played it, but well familiar with it. Mostly been listening to that song Skullface keeps playing while torturing people at Guantanamo, or podcasts now that I'm cleaning up the missions. But having fun clearing it all out, getting the systems and skills down through different challenges on a single map.

Overwatch League: Some interesting moves. Dallas Fuel, after the drama of losing their main tank, is really falling apart. Got fucking spawn camped by the Fusion multiple times in their match tonight. Florida Mayhem, a joke meme team, is now winning matches, and putting on good shows. LA Gladiators, my favorite team, was middling last stage, but is now a strong contender for the top 4 teams this stage. And the 3 Korean-only teams are of course at the top still. Poor Shangai, still without a win, is getting the first FEMALE PLAYER. Poor girl is going to be in for a rough time, because well meaning people are hyping her up way beyond anyone's ability to perform as a tank.

100% GZ, once I worked out the quick route for Jamais Vu, was only a matter of doing it three times over. Was neat bit of content, and then obviously MGSV is different, heh.

Prologue was a real mindfuck. It was a survival horror segment, and I don't know what was real and what was magic and what was super-duper tech, but there was a lot of man ass and I'm pretty sure a callback to Meryl with it. Snake had a real fucking rough go on that sequence, it was getting silly how much shit was blowing up and knocking him out for a couple minutes. And I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to clear the lobby, but eh. No rush to do that crawling segment again.
