That sounds like someone who just sucks at making characters in general, because it doesn't matter which position they have. If you write them the right way, you can make then very likable. Sometimes even more than the main character. It's especially impressive when a character with a short time in the spotlight manages to leave a huge impression.

Meh... maybe I'm just bitter and cynical, but even Sea of Solitude and Unravel Two don't impress me much. They look like imitations of actually good indie games. Unravel sure as hell reminds me alot of Ori and the Blind Forest, but more generic.

First thoughts:

The EA conference was overall really weak, disjointed, and unimpressive in my opinion.
The only thing they showed that captures my interest was Sea of Solitude.
Still don’t care about Anthem at all.

Eh. The two feels games looked good, though I won't play the yarn one, Sea of Solitude, maybe. Anthem look competent enough, though the round table of needlessly complicated ways of explaining basic principles was long. Gameplay looked fine for what it's supposed to be. I need to see the reported single player story content real badly tho.

I dont think I have ever seen a more pathetic E3 press conference in my entire life.

There was one game worth any attention, Sea of Solitude.

Everything else was boring, generic garbage. And for fucks sake, they are still showing EARLY CONCEPT ART and PRERENDERED CINEMATICS for Anthem.

Are they fucking insane?

It was business as usual. They have truly learned precisely dick from all the backlash and the millions of dollars they lost in the last year.

Anthem is going to flop, the C&C mobile shit is gonna be laughed at and disappear off the radars in a couple weeks (like the DK mobile game), Battlefield and the pseudo indie games look okay. The sports crap literally is the same shit they release every f-ing year.

I'm glad we got EA out of the way first, because no matter what we can only get up.

Tomorrow is Microsoft and Bethesdha. Hoping in a release date for the new Ori, and would be cool if they revealed a new Killer Instinc, since the reboot has been around quite long at this point.But it's more likely they'll have some Halo stuff to show, since it seems to be the only exclusive IP they own they seem to give a shit about. Maybe we could have an appearance of Sean Murray to talk about the X-box release of No Man's Sky and its multiplayer component. Bethesda is also very likely going to be business as usual, but I can't imagine them fucking up more than with the Creation Club last year, so I'll take it.

I can see I am in the minority here when I say that I want Anthem to succeed; I actually want it to succeed where The Division failed, and where Destiny dropped the ball. I think BFV looks fine, too. I might even play it myself when it draws nearer. Battlefront 2 excites me, because DICE has been trying to earn back some goodwill and fix their previous mistakes. I want it to do better.

TBH I'm not in either camp for Anthem. Succeed or Fail, I am in the "I don't care about it" camp.
BFV just looks like another Battlefield game, so, boring.
Battlefront 2...I just wish DICE were away from EA so they could risk breaking their formula mould and take on good things they just don't usually d. And being away from the shit EA business practices too.

It remains to be seen how many of those "Exclusives" are actually exclusive, but all in all, I actually was excited for quite a few of those games!

One of Microsoft's best showings. Hopefully a lot of those come to PC, heh. New Fromsoft game looked dope, Cyberpunk, Dying Light 2, some quality content. I missed the segment between Us Happy Few and DMC tho.

Also GoW5 was hard to watch.

Ori is the one I'm looking forward the most, mostly because I loved the first AND it looks like one of the few I'd be able to play on my PC.

Overally... Microsoft fucking rocked this year! I haven't been genuinely pumped up by one of their presentations in years, if ever!

I still found that disappointing.

This whole generation they haven't released one triple A new IP. Gears and Halo are all we got for big exclusives, seems like it's going to be a few years of developing from all the studios they bought, which in itself isn't a good thing.

However none of that matters because CDPR ABSOLUTELY nailed the aesthetic of Cyberpunk. The attitude of the main character reminds me of Delsin Rowe from infamous. In CDPR we trust.
