Honestly, just read a plot synopsis and skip to the 3rd. I made myself play the first 2, but it's really not that worth it.

There was some reference images to her somewhere beforehand so I would say that's the case. If they do go wild with the customisation I hope you can get all these crazy haircuts, piercings, tattoos and even cosmetic cybernetics. It would be awesome to see all the designs in the trailer incorporated into the character creation.

I hope so. Game marketers have yet to figure out that most people don't give a shit about placeholder, nobody PC and will immediately delete them and substitute their own character. I've never understood this. It seems to serve no purpose but A) to make RPG fans panic because they think it means a set protag or B) lead a bunch of people who don't realize it's an RPG on to thinking it's a generic shooter or action game or whatever.

They were trying to let you form your own opinions, but given all these NPCs act like you are their best friend regardless, you end up railroaded and it doesn't work. Geralt canon loves/likes Triss, Zoltan, Dandelion, et al. Period. It just is. The series finally gets good when they stop being coy about that.

I had a hard time picking between Yen and Triss in the game because they are both manipulative and slightly shady, but the books sealed that deal. Yennifer is fucking *awful*, just spiteful and capricious and arrogant and yet aggressively defensive. Though I am liking how she is with Ciri at least in book 3. Maybe she gets better throughout the series.

Yeah I kinda got that feeling and TBH it really didn't work for me as I felt that I may as well have been a stranger from the get-go.

I'm not really even into cyberpunk and I want all that shit to be incorporated into character creation as it just seems that it goes hand in hand with the idea of customization, alteration, upgrading, etc.
Hell for my last Fallout 4 playthrough I did a pretend "gets more synth as time goes on" through mods so I went back into CC after a while to change things. Cyberpunk should just do that naturally and natively.

I think it gives an in lore reason for Geralt to ask about everything and help explain the lore of a series not many outside of Polen really knew about at least for the first game and it gets fixed in 2 at the end.

Yen definitely seems like a bitch, seems like Geralt is a hopeless romantic. I had heard there isn't that much Triss in the books so I hope I heard wrong.

I played quite a few shooters earlier in my gaming career. The usual stuff growing up, Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Quake. Over the years I drifted away from those games to focus on the RPG's and strategy games where my real interest lies. But ME 2+3 are shooting games I really can play and love. I played a ton of ME3 multiplayer.

I hope Cyberspace 2077 will be in that vein. Not too fast, time to strategize, not a twitch-shooter, different power sets.

It's astonishing how Microsoft so far has been the only one putting up an actually decent if not straight up good show. Hm, failShep is all renegade stupid decisions Shepard, or do I misremember?

He's the Shepard you get if you don't import a save or bother to do the backstory comic. They specifically chose the things that would result in the fewest cameos or mentions of past events for new players, which translates to like half the cast dead and Shep in a failstate for half the non critical missions. He's as close to a canon Shepard as there is though because he was the one they used for marketing material and is the expected default for "new" players.
