Maybe next time it's on sale, I don't really think it's worth the full price, more for all the initial lies and the overhype, but I really appreciate all the extra work they put into the game. So I think eventually I will get into it.

God, yes, this! I ranted and raged at this game back in the day but everybody insisted I was crazy and that it was the best game ever. It will veer violently around small rocks that it could step over as if they were hundred-foot high cliffs. There's this one little patch of woods that I remember howling in inarticulate rage every time I had to pass through because the horse just cannot navigate through.

Back in the day, I considered Shadow of the Colossus not as good as other people kept saying, it sounded pretty boring to me, that opinion haven't changed to this day.

Reading the Witcher novels has made me wonder if there is just some wealth of awesome non-English sci-fi/fantasy out there that has just obliviously passed the Anglosphere by. Seriously, these novels are *really* good and they would probably never been translated into anything but a few Eastern European languages if not for the games.

What else are you hiding, Europe (Or China or wherever)? Spit it out. I want it.

You can try the Metro 2033, Metro 2034, Metro 2035 novels from Russia which the games of the same name is based on, although the metro 2034 game plot have no connection to novels plot of the same name.

I have enjoyed reading the first one when I can.

I've never played it, but observing from a distance, Shadow of the Colossus always seemed like a game with a great concept that didn't execute it as well as it could or should have. Beautiful to look at, but not quite so much fun to play for a long period of time.

The concept behind Shadow of the Colossus is great. The art style, graphics, and the moments that happen as they should are beautiful. The issue is that it only makes up a fraction of the game, and in my 5-6 hour run I just completed I can tell you that I spent more than half of it on the back of this damn horse that refuses to take me from point A to point B. When the game is only fun for about two-fifths of its total playtime, I can not condone its formula.

I never played Shadow of The Colossus, but I've seen some of the gameplay along with Ico and The Last Guardian. Can't say I'd like playing them considering I'd be fighting with the controls half the time.

Speaking of which, where does one (like me) post his writing? I've been doing some short stories lately and I've been in the mood to share it
