Yeah, but it's particularly saddening to me in this case. The people involved in the Godzilla anime movies made two of my favorite anime, Knights of Sidonia and Puella Magi Madoka, which are also both still waiting to get their finale, and I can only imagine this movie trilogy made that something coming much further down the line for both. Heck, PMM's getting a spinoff anime coming since the main story is frozen in carbonite. And of course I was very intrigued by the idea of a Godzilla anime and by the whole premise of a whole world taken over by giant monsters and people coming back to it thousands of years later.

But noope all that good potential pretty much completely wasted in an attempt to "not be too obvious".

Anyway... for those who don't want to bother with the video...

The Godzilla vs Ghidorah fight lasts for about 15 minutes and it's just the dragon spires squeezing Godzilla Earth, until Ghidorah is rendered solid, or more solid, by the main human character messing with the "summoning" ritual of the 3 headed kaiju, and then Godzilla blows the black holes the heads came through.

Mothra has a half a minute cameo, and she's just a silouhette. Same with Ghidorah's full form, except there's even less of him.

The whole mess is caused by the blonde aliens, who are Ghidorah worshippers and look into other planets that gave birth to kaiju, convert the surviving population and then offer the planet and its people to Ghidorah to feed.

The movie ends with the main character taking the last remaining mecha, aka the last piece of technology (both Mecha-G City and the space ark the humans and aliens had are destroyed) and fly towards Godzilla, sacrificing himself and letting go with his obsession of killing him. The rest of the remaining humans join the Mothra people's tribe, and it even turns out that the main character got one of the Mothra twins pregnant. Even tho they look 12. Because Japan.

Basically the whole message of the movie seems to be that humanity and technology are the real monsters, and we must get rid of them. What an original and not at all preachy message.

So if you go to a planet with a strong Dark Side nexus, and erect a powerful arcane edifice to concentrate and amplify the energies to a single focal point, and have a Force user with sufficient will or power, you can pierce the veil that separates life and death and bring back a dead person, which in this case is the ancient Sith Lord Momin orchestrating his own resurrection.

So Dragon Ball Super: Broly premiered in Japan. Take with a grain of salt, but here's what the leaks are saying:

Bardock does face off against Freeza before planet Vegeta gets blown up.

Bulma's collecting the dragon balls to wish herself 5 years younger.

Freeza's forces find Broly and Paragus, and seeing how Paragus hates the Saiyans for betraying him and his son and not knowing how planet Vegeta got destroyed, uses that hatred to direct them at Vegeta and Goku. Broly has no beef with them, he just goes along with this dad who hates Vegeta as the child of the man who exiled his son. Broly's trying to do right by his father. Issues being passed from fathers to sons.

Freeza finds out that the dragon balls are almost completely collected and aims to get a wish as well. The characters fear he wants immortality but in truth he just wants to wish to be taller this time. Yeah, that old joke again, recycled from Commander Red.

Broly doesn't know how to go super saiyan, but he learns and adapts as he fights and continuously gets stronger, so his base form quickly becomes more powerful than a SSG level. He can't handle SSB though. Freeza, remembering what triggered Goku's transformation on Namek, kills Paragus, making it seem like it was Goku and Vegeta's fault. Broly loses his shit and transforms in a rage. Both Goku and Vegeta at SSB working together cannot handle Broly now. Broly also attacks Freeza and beats the shit out of him.

Goku and Vegeta retreat and try to pull off the Fusion Dance. After failing a few times they finally get it right. Whis distracts Broly while they figure out how to fuse. Broly cannot touch Whis, who dodges everything Broly can throw at him. He steps out when Gogeta arrives.

SSB Gogeta faces off against Broly, who rises to the challenge by going into the Berserk/Legendary form. They have a fight thats so intense it tears holes in reality and the battle goes through different dimensions. SSB Gogeta eventually wins, but before he can kill him, one of Freeza's troopers--the green alien girl--apparently has pity on Broly seeing as how he's been used and manipulated into this whole scenario and had his father murdered in front of him, and uses the dragon balls to wish him away to safety, and Broly gets teleported to another planet. Freeza slips away in the chaos.

Later on Goku, realizing Broly wasn't a bad guy and was being manipulated and used, goes to visit him on his isolated desolate planet and tries to befriend him, bringing him food and the two begin taking.

Beerus gets stuck babysitting Bulla and doesn't do anything. Piccolo helps Goku teach the fusion dance to Vegeta. Gohan makes no appearance in the film. There's a small flashback to the Tournament of Power. Broly is stated to be stronger than God of Destruction level, but given his performance against Whis is still below the Angels.

Megatron meets his fate in the Lost Light comic. Basically him, Rodimus and the others deal with the parallel universe's Cybertron that turns into a fake Primus, securing it an a wandering moon carrying about a billion sparks of transformers, securing the survival of their species. Megatron then surrenders himself, having finally saved his kind, and it's very heavily implied he gets executed, but as he promised when he joined the Lost Light, he's okay with it.

Still one last comic, the final issue of the Optimus Prime series, that's gonna be the final epilogue.

Rest in peace IDW Starscream and Soundwave. You will be missed almost as much as your TF:P counterparts.

TBH I have been lost since they had a shared universe with other stuff in this latest run.

Well, the currently continuity is literally wrapping up these days. Next year we're getting a new series,but we'll be back to square one, with the Great War on the homeworld and everyone on their usual sides. I'm kind of not interested,really. Tho the tie-in figures line looks very good at least.
