I have mixed opinions. The Nintendo Management were almost Nintendo characters in of themselves. On the other hand, I'm not sure how relevant or effective Reggie had been lately. He was a part of that Iwata era of Nintendo that brought us the WiiU.

Either way, that man was memorable. He knew how to get people excited.

I start a new game, first expedition through the Weald... and my Plague Doctor catches the Black Plague.

So this is just disorganised HEMA duelling.
As one who spent many a time as a kid doing this exact thing I honestly find it terrible. There is no finesse, it's all just swinging.
Even that one-two-three, blocking stuff is totally staged to look legit when once in the duel no-one is using them.

If I was doing this I'd have made it so we create the forms through looking at other swordplay and Martial arts like they did for the films and actually use them.
I mean compare the clip we just saw with this video of German Longsword vs Japanese Kenjuitsu.

Guard switches, feints, following through with moves even though the opponent is out of range because it's simpler than stopping dead.
It flows, and is slow.

I have no idea if these guys are amateurs or not but in the fighting section of the video you can see some form of training.

Do I have a story for you guys, I was playing Apex legends and for some reason I didn't get paired up with anyone for some reason so I found a place to loot for weapons and got luck and found a place to hide which I did for a long time until I force to find a new place to hide which I continued to do until there was me and 2 of a squad was left and I defeated them and won, despite not being a good shot. I fucking won, being a one man squad.

I can't believe that happened or that I won.

Edit: I think I earned myself a cookie.

This is why I genuinely believe the first Indie character to be playable in Smash Brothers is will be from Undertale or Deltarune.

For whatever reason, this game REALLY connected to a Japanese audience. I think Nintendo still makes decisions with Japan in mind first, then the US.

Oh they absolutely do.
Japan is still their core market, that's why they still have everything on their own hardware. The fact the switch is still inviting other games like the Wii and WiiU is because Japanese people probably prefer Western games being on Japanese hardware. Or at least hardware from an old school Japanese company.
